This is a problem associated with the 'Connected Textures' option in...mutter...Optifine. Just switch it off in that mod's options.
I don't provide textures for that particular mod which Optifine included some time ago. As my glass is intended for structural work as well as windows and my sandstone doesn't require connected textures, it hasn't been a priority for me. To be honest, personally I really don't like what Connected Textures does to my glass and it's not necessary for my present bookcase/chemist drawer texture.
Like Misa, I much prefer the purity and simplicity of MC Patcher, so I don't use Optifine myself, but I understand why others need to.
[edit] Ninja'd by Demi_Person lol!
ok it looks fine now, i dont exactly see what connected textures does but thanks for letting me know.
Crzain - by any chance are your bookshelves and sandstone also default? it sounds like you've got the Connected Textures option (found under 'Quality') turned on, which Glimmar's pack doesn't support yet
Haha! Thanks Glimmar! I'm not that noobish anymore, it seems.
Um, i hope it doesn't disappoint you but uh, I didn't really...legitimately..get all that brick.
I'm on um. Creative mode. I guess i take back that i wasn't that noobish anymore. :/
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
Human history can be summed up in a few words. Just ask Demosthenes.
I'm having trouble downloading this, none of the links seem to work. Dropbox has shut down the link and I'm not sure how to download with rapidshare, the browser just sits on their download page and does nothing.

Creative, you say? That's all I ever play in now! So no way would I think less of anyone for that. So if playing in creative is noobish, I'm the biggest noob of them all, but I knew that already!!

Dropbox shuts down I believe when downloads become a bit too demanding on the free service side of things there. It's supposed to reset itself eventually as the little cartoon graphic indicates.
I've just tried RapidShare and that's working fine. You just need to click on the option with the animated downward pointing green arrow under the section that says, "Save File to...". Have another go.
I always used MediaFire, but my TalkTalk (UK) service provider is currently blocking my access there and MediaFire have told me they have had a large number of complaints from other TalkTalk customers having the same problems. Time for me to change ISP's me thinks.
If anyone can recommend alternatives, I am happy to take a look.
On an entirely different subject...have made a new extended signature. I'll stick the code up in my OP as soon as I can.
Changing the subject, do you know that awkward moment when you are building a massive steam power plant and a mountain gets in the way? :/
Lol! I get that all the time, but I can't stand the idea of starting on a flat world. How about just build right into the mountain.
Even more annoying is when I last transported my original city to a new world, so's I could take advantage of all the new building blocks, biomes and whatnot (back when I gathered all the resources by hand). Found a great world, moved my base to it using mcedit and only noticed, months later when I scouted far enough, that I must have glitched things somehow, because at a certain distance all the land and water was lower by one block.
So either I have to fix it all by hand (and you know how difficult it is to fix glitched water) or begin the process of transferring all my original buildings once again to another world, and check things over properly before committing to it. If that's even possible, as the last I heard mcedit wasn't being updated, I'd better go check...

Good luck with the steam power plant.
That glitch isn't your fault, it was from Minecraft itself when they modified the world generation stuff. basically, sea level was raised by one block, which means that any new land you found after that is one block higher. I found this out when updating a 1.7 Beta world to 1.1, and found everything past a certain distance had a higher sea level and a TOTALLY different set of terrain, resulting in bisected mountains and ravines ending in cliffs, among other things.

Flip! I never knew that, but it's reassuring to know that others had the same experience. What was the reason for raising the sea level by one block, seems a bit weird?
Also, seems like mcedit is definitely a none starter at the moment. Is there anything else out there available or being worked on?
Aargh! I just noticed I repeated the dispenser in my sig. and I wanted everything to be different. Back to the drawing board.

Not sure why they increased the height, but I think it was the same time they added swamps, ravines, and rivers. As for replacements for MCEdit, I haven't really looked lately…
And as for the signature, it doesn't look like you repeated the dispenser. There are two dispensers there, but they are different (see top bit).

I can live with the one block height problem, now I know the reason for it. As and when I sprawl as far as the glitch, I'll build over them and landscape where necessary. The editor section of the forum looked a bit sparse when I checked today, but I couldn't find anything similar to mcedit on the first 5 pages.
The differences in the two dispensers came from a bit of trickery, where I added glow from the lights above them. Anyways, I changed it now for my new foliage.
Thanks Glimmar! And i cant say i have experience with glitchy water.
My goodness, this (EDIT) POWERPLANT! is going to be massive. MASSIVE! Thats really all i know. I just finished building the guts of it, the water pipe, the furnace/boiler, the turbines and the generator. That takes up a huge amount of room by itself. But the actual building.....
Well, after long delay, I bring to you version 0.3 of the mod compilation. Unfortunately, I'm not entirely sure if I got everything on here, as I am working off of my laptop at the moment. Anyway, changes include:
RedPower textures, provided by _Greenleaf_
Forestry textures, provided by _Greenleaf_
Weaponmod textures, provided by Tlos
Not sure if there were any other new textures that I needed to add… I'll check what else there is after I get back.

lol i had this once as well it seems to be a change in 1.7 and 1.8, because i downgraded to 1.7 from 1.8 beta and the water level around the chunks i had already spawned was one block higher. that map was so glitched i had to abandon it, animals weren't spawning right.
gotta love chunk glitches. but yeah mountains annoy me as well best idea would be to blow up the mountain before you start the project. to bad i never remember to think of that.

By 'glitchy' water I meant just the normal peculiarities of ironing water levels out and getting rid of those whirlpool eddies one gets when removing blocks underwater.

I've updated the OP with the latest download. Many thanks, ksheep.
Let me know if I've got any of the credits wrong. I double-checked the download link this time, but it wouldn't go amiss if you checked it as well.

Haha! I forgot about the blowing up part. I used to labour away levelling stuff by creative brute force, then not too long ago I learned to have fun with dynamite!

I see what you mean. I was just basing that on what I had, but it does appear that the user who had been working on it may have been basing it on an older version, namely one pre-bees. Furthermore, it looks like none of the items for Forestry had been done yet.
ok it looks fine now, i dont exactly see what connected textures does but thanks for letting me know.

Curse PremiumNo probs.
Haha! I've not been following up on Notch's new game, I wouldn't be able to do anything else in addition to Minecraft...I'd probably go insane!

Glad you like...and relieved it still looks Steampunk.
[edit] You two have converted me into a 'Ghast Hunter' with this post, which is quite hilarious considering I've only ever killed a ghast in creative!

Oh dear. Bad, bad, bad, bad memories
EDIT: In reply to Glimmar, in case of any confusion....
And Glimmar, do you mind me posting alot of pictures of the power plant? There's an insane amount of stuff to show.
