have you got a link to it ? the last one had invisible computer craft monitiers at first i thought they were ment to look like the display was floating but it was somewhat off putting lol
Sorry I haven't gotten it up yet, RL stuff got in the way. I'll try to finish it today and get it up sometime later. Keep an eye out!
Will you, or someone else, be doing Thaumcraft 2 textures?
I probably won't, having a full plate just keeping everyone's efforts working smoothly and working on Buildcraft and Railcraft. However, I believe that someone said that they may take a stab at doing it. Keep an eye out, I'm sure something will be made eventually.
ugh, i had to give up the 64bit texture pack. i got some lag spikes. i figured it had to be the texture pack, nothing else was changed prior to the texture pack. it's an awesome pack, just gotta use the 32 from now on. also i hate to be nit-picky and this is odd for me to be honest.
i like the wolves default texture, didn't like the androidish one. i like their cute look in default, and here i'm not much of a dog person, but i love my wolves.
also the nether is freaky looking now, which is exactly how it should look and feel, get a bit more rattled by the ghasts but honestly i like that, after my first adventure into the nether i've been getting used to the place way to much and it is suppose to be unnerving. this texture has restored that for me.
i have to say though i'm a texture pack addict, i'm always changing from one to another. i like keeping things fresh and new.

I know how you feel, I can't choose between this, OnionTrain, Soartex, and nostalgia craft.
Additionally, can someone make textures for the portal gun mod, I think it might look awesome.

I believe that someone had made the portal gun for this pack a while back, and they recently said that they may look into updating it to include all the textures.
Lol! The lapis block got changed in version 4 of the pack. I found I had too many large coloured riveted panels and wanted something that was more on the scale of opulent tiles rather than bricks or large blocks.
Whoops! Guess I need to update my favorite texture pack more often, haha!
Once i edit in the alt textures, how do i zip the file on a mac?
Select all inside the file, right-click, chose "Compress all X files". This will make a file called "Archive.zip". Rename as you see fit, and move it into the Texture Packs folder.
Awesome mountain ranges, floating land everywhere. Once you explore beyond the utterly bland spawn, you find amazing awesomeness. AKA, your name stands for a bleak first impression, but greatness shortly after.
And the language pack. I have been unable to work on it recently sadly, but I have a four hour car ride so should get some work done on it today
Haha. That just about sums up the pack perfectly. I'd rather it was that way round anyway. Boring on the outside, but delve deeper and you find the goodness beneath.
Take it easy and make sure to have fun doing the language thing...says I, the late night updater!
With all these new blocks being added, what will happen when you can't squeeze your "Glimmar" onto the terrain.png anymore?
Lol! Yeh, I'm fighting a running battle with Mojang's placement of new textures on the terrain sheet and now I've just about been bottled up into a corner. Aaargh! Next I'll use hyphens or just get myself a regular signature, or I could just plaster a letter onto each texture in the game (only joking!).
Glad you like the sandstone and wood plank textures.

Change is always good. I never really get the chance to properly try out other packs...though I've always loved John Smith's...and I'm too busy contemplating what looks best in this one. It's a frightening addiction.
With regard to the lag, I believe the 64x animations really can tax older or less powerful machines, so yes it would be that causing the problem. Not sure if Optifine would help.
I always intended to have natural alternatives to most of the mobs, but the amount of time it takes me to do just one skin makes it challenge. I might get there one day.

I'm sure I included the portal gun textures in the extras download. Knowing me, and my creeping forgetfulness I probably got as far as storing them on my harddrive somewhere and never got as far as the extras.
OOOOOOHHHHHH i got this texturepack on the minecraft Monday show i sended him the pack
Great stuff, mate.
I just watched it and it's an excellent review...couldn't be more pleased! I'm amazed how much stuff BebopVox manages to track down and cram in his vids each week.

yeah i know, that's how art is in general, i'm like that with the videos i make, so i can understand.
i have optifine but i find it odd that i got this, my pc is not that bad off. i can run skyrim just fine and keep it at a decent quality, but java has always been finicky on it, not just minecraft but java itself. i had to download the 64 bit manually. skyrim runs without a hitch but java programs don't. *shruggs*
i love the default wolf oddly enough, even though i love machines, the wolves are just too cute. i'll just swap in the default textures for now. i'm not going to do art theft so you know, i just like my wolves to be cute. i need to get a cat at some point, but i swear i never remember to do so. @[email protected]

Well, the next thing I would have suggested would have been to make sure you've manually installed the 64 bit version of java and keep both 32 and 64 bit version updated. But you've already done that. Something I learned early on as being necessary. Why both don't get downloaded and maintained seems a bit odd to me.
Have you checked the Java heap size setting under 'Options' in MC Patcher. I believe that has some effect on things, but I've never had need to alter that particular setting so can't advise. If you googled it or checked on the MC Patcher thread there'll be plenty of advice. Someone else around here will probably be able to offer some suggestions, but you might be happy with the 32x textures instead of a lot of messing.

Yes, it is included in the Extras download. However, the creator of it had mentioned that he wanted to try to finish out the rest of the textures a couple weeks ago.
EDIT: Before I forget, I should probably say that I have yet to finish the latest update of the mod textures, been too busy with classes, tests, and whatnot. However, I should be able to finish it this weekend.

i'm actually surprised at the 32bit textures, most have a drastic difference bettween 32 and 64 so i go with 64, but maybe it is all the detail or something but the 32bit looks just as good to me. i'm still getting a few hiccups here and there, but i think it may be optifine which irnoicly is suppose to make the game faster, it always seems to hurt more then help though in my case. i could go back to mcpatcher and try that toggle, i could also reduce the memory it eats. i have it on 1gig at the moment.

Most of Glimmar's textures are at 32x, with the exceptions being the Mobs and, with the Higher-Res versions, the water and lava. However, due to how both MCPatcher and Optifine work, he has to increase the size of ALL the textures for the higher-res water and lava versions, even if it's the same design as the 32x version. In effect, each square of the design becomes 4 of the same pixel on the 64x version, and 16 of the same for the 128 version. Looks the same, but is more difficult for some processors to render (go figure).

I had some free time so I made a few more things.
