Should have a new version of the mod pack shortly, still waiting on a few of the new textures. In the meantime, I asked Tlos to help with the WeaponMod by making a few new textures for the guns, and he went above and beyond the call of duty, creating new textures for just about everything. I will include both versions in the download pack, so people can pick and choose, but I just wanted to thank him for all his help.
If you'd like to see what he's done with it, it is attached below.
Wow! ksheep, Green, Tlos and others, you have been very busy...my thanks! The stuff you are throwing together is fantastic and very intriguing to a mod newby like myself.
I've been very busy with the family this week, moving my youngest to a new school, and as she's severely disabled it's taking up a lot of time to complete the transition and a lot of goodbye parties to attend, etc. I've also had a couple of commissions to finish off. But the Easter hols begins this weekend here in the UK, so I may (or may not, if we have fun days out!) have more time to finish the update of new wood planks and sandstone.
I hope to update today or tomorrow with something, but then if time allows, show more alternatives for planks, as I'm finding it very difficult to decide what would be more useful for the three new types, and perhaps you can help me decide.
Having already played with the temps torturran chose from my alts, I actually really liked his selection, particularly the thin slatted type which had a 'brassy' feel to it. I found it worked really well for suspended walkways with the brass window pane texture, so with a little editing I may keep that one in and replace the dark planking with some square panels (ala Jacobean/Elizabethan wall panelling) for useful variety in other building. But like I say, it's a difficult one and I'll just see what turns up to be more practical from all the alts I throw out.
I'm also working on some new graphics for the various headings in my OP.
Speak to you soon. Happy Easter, whenever that may be for you...don't eat too many chocolate eggs!
PS. sheep, I'll look out for the updated mod pack and swap it into the OP as soon as I see it. Many thanks for all your efforts.
I said three days, but I haven't finished the machines in redpower or array, it takes a while.
But I did say Ill send the files I do have so here is the [link]
and Ksheep I did the ores in forestry and redpower but they look like crap, could you take a look at them before you release the next version, I got the hue of the ore itself the right color, but the stone isn't like the regular stone. I use paint so its very hard to change the hue on certain parts of it if I want to do it all manually but I just changed the entire block with hue saturation, so If you could fix it that would be great.
I'll be sure to look at it this afternoon when I finish with class. Glancing over it now, it looks good.
MOD PACK UPDATE: I will be releasing the latest update for the mod pack later today. I think I've got everything that I will get anytime soon, and I just need to make a few tweaks to get everything to fit properly.
I still haven't heard back from Lady Eternity, so I'm not sure what's going to happen with that. However, Greenleaf's Redpower and Forestry textures are now up, Tlos updated the Weapon Mod items, and I have the latest version of IC2 ready. If I find the time, I may also work a bit more on Railcraft, but today will probably be too busy for me to do much in that sector.
I'm loving the improvements to the Texture Pack! The animations anre quite the asset too! But I seem to have an issue. When I start Minecraft, it shows an all white screen that says "missingte", instead of showing the Glimmar's Steampunk Intro. I'm playing on a Mac, but I highly doubt that it has something to do with that.

I play on a mac too and I never get that problem. My advice is make sure you download the correct folders for your mac. Wish I could help you more.
Here's my latest update - v5 (please note the change in version numbering. ie. next update will be v6) - Again my apologies that you've had to wait so long for this...
Glimmar's Steampunk v5 for Minecraft 1.2.4
Downloads
This pack requires the latest version of 'MCPATCHER'MC Patcher link.
One texture is the decorative type seen at the top and bottom of pillars. Also good for decoration around pools and building facades. The other new texture is a plain square block. If time allows I will make more alts, but there are already some different types on my 'alt sheet 5' below.
3 new plank textures. I am continuing to experiment with new plank types to get the right balance.
Grungy weather worn vertical plank (could second as a concrete or metal facing).
Elizabethan/Jacobean square darkwood panelling. Experiment...so let me know if you think this needs changing to one of the forthcoming alts.
Thin light toned slatted wood planks. Great for walkways, duckboards, etc.
Edited sand slightly to match new sandstone blocks.
Edited old sandstone textures to match the new.
New alternative textures - sandstone and wooden planks (on new alt sheet 5). If I get the chance, expect more alternative wooden plank textures in the future.
As per usual, anyone bothering to read the latest posts in my thread...usually regulars, get first try of the latest version while I update my OP.
The OP is now updated and I just realized it's April Fools Day here, so I'm off to hide from all the pranksters 'till midday. Happy japes, one and all!
It's been a while since I've had anything to add to this wonderful texture pack.
recolored wood:
Furnace with fuel markings:
I'm looking forward more good things to come.
Note: that I only edited existing blocks and did not create anything myself.
Nice edits there, mate.
I particularly like the fuel markings idea on the furnace gui. I'm hoping to make a new furnace gui in the near future and would like to incorporate that or a similar idea.
Many thanks for sharing, Sage of Creon and glad you like the pack...hope you like my little update too.
I know ur busy right now but when u got this updated for the next patche/s maybe you should add this to mccustomizer.net alot easier for ppl to customiz with your alt texts just a tip
As mentioned before, there is still much to do on the pack, so it would not be something I would be tackling in the near future, sorry.

I've never used a Mac so have no experience of sorting problems in that area, but I see a few people have already commented that it works fine for them, so I don't think there's anything about the pack that's causing the problem. I do have a mixture of 64x and 32x textures in the pack, but so do many other packs. In all other respects it's no different than any other pack.
I hope you get this sorted. If you find out what the problem is, let us know for future reference.
are there forestry textures for this pack, and if there are, are they for 1.4.0.4?
I'm glad you're still using the pack, PAKAM45T3R.
Did you mean 1.2.4? I'm not sure about the Forestry mod, but ksheep is putting together an update to the 'mod support pack' download soon. Check that, and if it's not there keep reminding folk around here and someone might tackle the project for ksheep to include. Sheep may already have dealt with this, as I haven't checked over the last few pages of my thread yet.
Was the change to the Lapis Lazuli block deliberate? I don't see it mentioned in the changelog. New woods and sandstone look great!
Glad you like the new woods and sandstone. I will be doing more though and see what folk like best.
Lol! The lapis block got changed in version 4 of the pack. I found I had too many large coloured riveted panels and wanted something that was more on the scale of opulent tiles rather than bricks or large blocks.
That looks slightly worrying! So my name stands for 'boring flat featureless seascape'! Or hopefully I'm reading it all wrong and there's an awesome mountain range just out of sight.

Funny you should mention that...
Awesome mountain ranges, floating land everywhere. Once you explore beyond the utterly bland spawn, you find amazing awesomeness. AKA, your name stands for a bleak first impression, but greatness shortly after.
And the language pack. I have been unable to work on it recently sadly, but I have a four hour car ride so should get some work done on it today
