Weird place to ask this but does anyone know of any Steampunk themed survival servers out there?
I have not seen a steampunk survival server with but there is Retro Future. It is a steampunk RPG server. i suggest trying to start or find a sever who will use Glimmers' pack
What exactly did you try to edit (I know rain but what else and how) because I have never had this problem with my Mac and I custom edit a lot of files.
NEW IC2 steampunk textures(based on glimmars textures) heres the new things i have made (i will release the textures when im done or when i want to!)
glimmars drill,hoe and saw textures was used as templates!
i rushed this and i noticed that one of the cells is unfinished, so dont download this unless you want unfinished textures.
glimmar, can i release these textures on the ic2 forums(link to your pack and credits will be posted)

If you'd like, I'd be more than willing to work on the blocks if you could help with the items for some of the mods I'm working on. Turns out I'm not the best with creating items, but I seem to do just fine on re-texturing blocks (especially when I already have some pre-made textures to borrow from).

Which spoiler buttons are you talking about? It seems that most of the ones I've tried on the main post seem to work just fine… although there are one or two that are acting up. Also, I'm not sure when the texture mix machine had last been updated, so it may be a bit… out of date.
My suggestion, if you're trying to find something in a certain spoiler box that isn't working, would be to quote the post, hit the light switch button in the upper left to show the code, copy to a text editor or something similar, and searching for something nearby the section you want (ie. title of the section you're looking at). It may be a bit roundabout, but as Glimmar is gone for a while, it may be the quickest way to find what you're looking for.

i have started to make generator,cable and transformer textures,BUT you can make textures for the machines and the other stuff(crops, personalchest and tradeomat and all the other machines + EU storage units)
Making an industrial setting with it now - already a desert has been denuded to get enough 'glass' to use as the iron supports of a foundry. An ecological disaster, I am as bad as a 19th Century industrialist! Lava for the molten iron, pouring from the furnaces. Netherack for the flames keeping things molten. Rail lines in loops to keep things looking busy. Looking very nice so far.
I am tempted to leave some buildings partially complete, because the in progress look is also kind of arresting.
I can hardly wait to see what the Iron Golem looks like.

Just got back, but now catching up on more RL stuff this weekend (+ UK Mother's Day) and having a quick look round here at all the fantastic modding work.
When I can, I will re-organise that mess of an OP and update the little mod section with anything you'd like to offer. As a quick answer to those who've made mods using my textures. If you want to upload them to the mod threads they've been made for, please feel free...just give a clear link back here to promote the pack and credit me for any textures used, so they don't waltz off re-using them for other projects without first asking here.
While away, I had a chance to finish the Iron Golem to my satisfaction and edit a number of other things. So expect my attempts to update this weekend.

The 'Glimmar' Golem
You might catch a glimpse of the new high res clouds and circle stone brick. I just wiki'd the stone bricks and noticed other stone bricks seem to have been added there, but I'm probably just misreading things in my jet-lagged state.

Well I hope you like the look of the 'Glimmar' Golem. I just need to set to and check I've updated all the things I need to with regard to the 64x and 'green' versions and write a changelog, etc. then I'll upload.
For anyone having trouble downloading the pack at the moment, MediaFire seems to have upgraded again and it's causing havoc with me getting to my files there...not recognising my membership! Bear with me on this. Any suggestions for a good...free...alternative?
As mentioned above, I'm looking into this. You can bet it's very annoying for me too! MediaFire has always been pretty reliable for me so far, but it's being a pig at the mo'.
Ah, I figured out the download issue. Apparently any Mediafire link which has the filename in it is currently broken (temporarily, I presume). Reformatted the download link to their short form and it works: http://www.mediafire.com/?t57jjfr2l04oc40

The download link, when you click it, it directs you to Mediafire, then Mediafire says the link has been deleted or removed. :S

I'm going to give '4shared' a try. So far everything seems pretty pain free 'upload-wise', but I've got to see how they behave on the 'download' side of things. Wish me luck.

Don't worry about the head, that's something I can easily make variations for. Having figured a body ('figured'...'body'. Lol! It's a joke a sentence around here) interchangeable heads will be fun!

Well, if the new download links work ok, I'll get back to finishing off my new update. I will do my best to check over all the previous comments and reply where appropriate. Enjoy the rest of the weekend folks. Also, as my time is even more limited at the moment, let me know what you think I should work on next: villagers, updating the old gui, mobs, etc. I can't promise to agree with the majority opinion, but I'll do my best, and if I go quiet, it's not because I've lost interest, it's because of RL demands and I will be back.
Did you make sure to name it properly (rain.png)? Also, don't forget to edit it with an editor that allows for transparencies.
