You can always swap it out with one of the many alternate textures. There are currently 4 full sheets of alternates, and a 5th is being worked on. Just find a texture that you like and copy it over to the texture sheet using a photo editor that allows for transparencies (ie. Photoshop or GIMP).

Hmm… well, you could just adjust the saturation or lightness using a photo editor. And when you say lumber, do you mean the logs or the wooden planks?
EDIT: Yet more new textures. At this rate, I may finish Buildcraft Core in the next couple of days. Added gates. Also got some lamps for Redpower, using some of the alt wool textures. Hope whoever is doing the redpower textures doesn't mind.
I seem to recall there being regular yellow fire/lava versions for the texture. I thought there was even animations for these textures. However I cant find them, dose anyone know where they are?

Okay, heres my airship. I built a few other things, but i decided this was the best to show. I'm just posting the URL, I dont know if i'm doing it right.

I haven't really messed with higher resolutions before. I can't get the HD character skin to work in singleplayer.
The game just shows me whatever skin I have uploaded to minecraft.net
I've got the HD skin that came with the 64x64 texture pack in the mobs folder of the texture pack. It is named char.png And yes, I'm using MCPatcher.
I'm clueless. Any help would be appreciated. Do I have to change something in MCPatcher?
Or am I supposed to do the above in the .jar file?
Whenever you log on, the skin that is uploaded automatically replaces whichever one you have in the texture pack, and, unfortunately, you can only upload 16x resolution skins. To get around this, you could play in offline mode, but then you wouldn't be able to connect to multiplayer servers.
I know he added a link to Vernian Process songs... but imo I find Abney Park fits the theme better :PAlso, love the texture pack! Been using it for a long time, and then I quit minecraft for a while. I like where it has gone
I don't know if anyone else is having this problem or if it has already been discussed but when i try to download the Better than Wolves texture add-on it says there is a problem. Anyway i love the look of this pack, tanks for it!
Figured out something for the Assembly Table and Laser from Buildcraft. Still need to fix the texture for the laser beams themselves, but it's a start. Enjoy!
Could someone optimize this for Better Than Wolves and MightyPork's PowerCraft? I think they both fit the theme, and I've got a lot of items from both lying around my world so they're really the only thing preventing me from using this pack exclusively.

Havent seen PowerCraft before, but I'm sure someone could look at it. We've currently got a couple people going through the various mods in the Technic Pack. I'm almost done with BuildCraft, about a third of the way through RailCraft, and finished with WeaponMod. Other users are working on RedPower2, Mo' Creatures, and IndustrialCraft2. However, I'm sure we can look into those others as well. Just need to install them and see what all everything does, figure out textures for them.
EDIT: Engines for Buildcraft are ready. Any thoughts?

I think I'm nearly done with the block textures for Buildcraft. Still need to make the item textures, but that would necessitate making textures from scratch, rather than just modifying those that are already available through Glimmar's alts. Are there any texture creators who are willing to help with this?
@Glimmar - well, I've finally got my hands on your latest pack and as usual the work is awesome. I love the ocelot! However and I hate to say this, but could we have a villager that looked more like steampunk city citizens and less like zombies? It sure would go a long way to making the steampunk worlds much more steampunky? If this has already been addressed my apologize for reposting.

due to another sleepless night, i decided to play around with textures again so now i present the human looking villagers and i cant find the image for the female skin, but you can imagine what it looks like on your own A few bits still look patchy as i literally just stretched the textures into place, but i quite like them, with the exception of the hideously blocky heads

You should change the font. The current one is only readable in fullscreen with things like Rei's Minimap.
You should be able to change the font size for Rei's Mini-map in the options for said mod. As for the font, I believe Glimmar said he was borrowing it from elsewhere, with a chance of him making his own at some point… once he has the time. However, there is always the problem of making something thematic as well as readable, especially with all these mods out there.

Here you go. It's not complete yet, and there are still some other sheets which I haven't gotten to yet (ie. items and gui). Hope you like it!
To install: Open texture pack, make the following folders (one inside the next, starting at the top):
- net
- minecraft
- src
- buildcraft
Then, for each subset, make a folder with a corresponding name, and make a folder named "gui" inside these. Place images (renamed if needed) inside.core
