Hey there, could you possibly add support for Industrialcraft2? http://forum.industr...d&threadID=4702
I feel that the mod would be right at home with your Texture pack and keep up the good work sheep and glimmar! it looks great!

One of the other regulars here, d95, had done some preliminary IC2 textures, and I recently re-posted them (see 2 pages back). Also, I'm planing on doing some further additions to that, as well as Buildcraft and Railcraft (and whichever other mods Technic has) when I have free time. I'm currently jumping around haphazardly on which mod I'm working on, but I'll probably look into IC2 in the next few days.
Thank you for the welcome and very much for that compilation, i have but one question, how do i add those textures to the texture pack? I apologize for my inexperience :/

Ah… well, I'm not entirely sure how to get the textures into the texture pack properly to work with the mod. However, if you don't mind setting these textures as the default for the mod (ie. if it's the only texture pack you use), you can open up the .zip file for the mod, replace the textures, rezip it, and replace the old .zip file with the new one. Alternatively, if you patched the mod into the Minecraft.jar file, you'd just open that up and replace the relevant textures in there.
I've been meaning to figure out how to get the texture pack itself to replace the mod's textures, I know there's a way… I just can't remember off the top of my head, and I think it depends on how you have the mods installed (ie. directly patched into the Minecraft.jar or simply in .zip format in the mods folder). I'll look into this, as I'm fairly certain there's an easier way, but I've found this way no more work than the other options when editing the textures.
He didn't say it was his, but he said he would be using it. Still he did not correctly acknowledge that it was Glimmers pack, but some one in his threads did.
Ummm.... Hey Glimmar... http://www.planetmin...d-fully-edited/ I dunno if ya know this, but I think someone stole your texture pack. >.> Just thought I'd let you know.
Wow… Can't believe how shameless some people can be. I went and reported him, lets just hope it gets taken down soon.

Very many thanks, mate for bringing it to my attention. I am much obliged.

Actually he does claim that he did the work and obviously has not credited me...very annoying. I tried to leave a comment, but couldn't, even though I'm a member there. Perhaps it's already been locked or he's locked comments himself.

I've been a member of Planet Minecraft for quite some time...just haven't got round to posting the pack up there yet (with having enough to do with just one thread). Anyways, I was able to report him myself and I'm grateful you've done the same yourself, sheep. Many thanks.
I don't know if you are able to comment too, but anything would help. I would also be grateful if anyone else was able to make a polite comment in his thread there. Keeping it civil of course.
Things like this are about the most off-putting thing that can happen to any artist, as most of you here appreciate. Though I would hope it's fairly obvious to the admin there, when they get round to dealing with it, that the pack is stolen. The guy is also using an adhoc address method of garnering money through adFly. This takes it to the level of theft as far as I'm concerned.
I guess it illustrates that I probably need to get my pack up there as soon as possible.
Thanks in advance for any help folks, and again thanks to you, tmandoo for looking out.
My apologies that this got in the way of checking the posts above. I will come back to those soon.

Didn't realize that he's also using AdFly. If this is the case, I'd suggest reporting it to AdFly as well so that they suspend any payments that he would have gotten. Fairly certain that this goes against their DMCA rules. http://adf.ly/abuse.php

Thanks for that link. I've filled out a form at adf.ly. Done in a rush, so I hope I did it correctly.
Can certainly do without distractions like this and find it completely demotivating...so I'm off to sulk.
Well… now that that's (hopefully) taken care of…
Here's some more pics of my work on Buildcraft. Made something for the Waterproof and Conductive Pipes, as well as made a construction "robot" for the quarry.
I decided to delve back in the archives and dredge up the personalized Minecarts. I know someone had asked where they had gone a while back. Also, if anyone had lost theirs (I know I misplaced mine), they should be able to find it again here… hopefully.
Here are the second 5 completed minecarts (with appropriately coloured icons) delivered in the same order their owners posted requests on my thread. The next batch will be posted as soon as possible...the paints still needs to dry! tyler4768 'TT'. klawz 'KLA'. fozzywozzybear 'FB'. ksheep '42'. ssaint 'SS'.
Your Personalised Steampunk Minecarts Here are the first 5 completed minecarts (with appropriately coloured icons) delivered in the same order their owners posted their requests on my thread. The next batch will be posted as soon as possible...the paint still needs to dry! Megadog 'MG'. nkt4ku '31'. Briggs 'AnB'. bottyonminecraft 'HB'. MetroFan180 'Met'.
Your Personalised Steampunk Minecarts Here are three more completed minecarts (with appropriately coloured icons) delivered in the same order their owners posted requests on my thread. The next batch will be posted as soon as possible...slow drying paint! AnonCthulhu 'Ia' (a with dots above). kendawg 'PW'. Eshredder 'Es'.
Your Personalised Steampunk Minecarts Here are two more completed minecarts (with appropriately coloured icons) delivered in the same order their owners posted requests on my thread. The next batch will be posted as soon as possible...slow drying paint! dereksmith '31'. Tiger4Ruler 'T4R'.
Your Personalised Steampunk Minecarts Here are five more completed minecarts (with appropriately coloured icons) delivered in the same order their owners posted requests on my thread. The next batch will be posted as soon as possible...slow drying paint! ReaperOfDeath 'RoD'. oddball Springrolls 'SP'. Candy Biu (biodude94566) 'CB' FlaminJoe 'MC'.
Your Personalised Steampunk Minecarts Here are three more completed minecarts (with appropriately coloured icons).
Wolfyau 'WB' Bad_Wolf 'BBW' Gestankfaust 'Cthulhu Head'
Rename your minecart skin to 'cart' and drop it in the 'item' folder in 'Glimmar's Steampunk' texture pack in your Minecraft texture packs folder (or your texture pack of choice). Make sure you put it in your active texture pack and not the 'minecraft.jar', otherwise everytime you run Minecraft it will get over-ridden by the cart skin in whichever texture pack you're using...meaning you won't see any change.
The icons are colour coordinated with the minecart of your choice, but you don't need to use them to get the cart to work. However, if you want everything to match perfectly, you need to paste these co-ordinated icons over the top of the existing cart icons on the 'items.png' sheet in the 'gui' folder. Use a graphics programme that can handle transparency, like Photoshop, Gimp or Paint.net.
First and foremost. Many thanks to all who helped with the little matter of my pack being hi-jacked on Planet Minecraft. That seems to have been sorted now and I'm doing my best to work towards a page there to make it obvious what Glimmar's Steampunk is. When I get it figured, I'll give notice here and I'd appreciate a little visit there to highlight that it's the real deal and not another imposter!
What's got me confused at the moment though, is how to get my vids in the OP here and elsewhere up and running again. I hadn't noticed until today that the new forum layout wasn't displaying 'em like before and I'm scratching my head in the editor to figure out how to get them to display again. I'd appreciate any advice.
[edit] I got it figured, but wasted a morning having to change all my media codes!
Well… now that that's (hopefully) taken care of…
Here's some more pics of my work on Buildcraft. Made something for the Waterproof and Conductive Pipes, as well as made a construction "robot" for the quarry.
EDIT: I just realized that I've got the wrong version of the bot up. I'll try to fix it before getting any pseudo-final collection up.
For someone who's got a busy couple 'o' weeks on, you certainly move like the wind when it comes to assembling stuff...puts me to shame! Sorry I wasn't able to comment on the stuff you did yesterday, but it's all looking mighty intriguing. When you feel you've got some mods covered and finished let me know and I'll bump up the mods section in my OP and make more of a feature of it. Any chance you'd be able to make the list with links and such and a pic for each mod as and when you think they are ready?
As you've probably seen I woke up today to find my texture pack, masquerading as being someone else's work on Planet Minecraft, had been taken down. So many thanks for the help there.
Not a problem I actually follow this pack consistently as anonymous, but I saw that so I registered to the forum to tell you.
Well, as mentioned before, I'm very grateful you did mention it, as practically there's no way I can hope to catch things like that on my own, certainly not if I'm going to have time to create new stuff, and it's just a pain when it happens. Anyways, it's prompted me to have a presence there to at least make it obvious to folk who only seem to visit P.M. and not these hallowed forum halls.
This is really awesome! Wanna install it, but my pc sucks, so i need to get 16x16 version. Is there a way to make it?
You could try stripping out some of the animated stuff and see if that gives you a bit of a boost. But I understand for some, even doing stuff like that doesn't make much difference. I honestly don't have time myself to do it, as much as it would be an interesting and satisfying task, but my youngest son volunteered to have a go when his exams are over, and Gestankfaust had a go last year, but pressures of work on his own pack and RL made that an almost impossible task. I understand this, as there's probably more effort involved in downscaling to 16x16 than upscaling to 64x64. It's quite the task to compress most of the fiddly textures in this pack and still make a recognisable 16x version.
If my son does work on it, it would be easier for me to look over his shoulder and let him know if something was right or not. So I'll keep folk posted on how that progresses. If he doesn't get his grades, it'll be off back to school for him and gruel for breakfast and no time for Minecraft. Mwahahahahaha!

It may seem like I'm going at a fairly fast clip, but most of what I've done was fairly straightforward. All the pipes are just the same texture, recolored, with different details added on (again, same texture slapped onto 6 different things) for the waterproof and conductive. The other stuff I've just copy-pasted from your alts, with some changes to hue and saturation. Also, I keep finding small fiddly details that need to be changed due to annoying repetitions. I don't think there's anything more than 20% original out of what I've done so far. The main reason I keen posting new pics is to get some input. Doing most of my work on my on-the-verge-of-being-completely-out-of-date laptop (as I don't have Photoshop on my desktop and I can't get the hang of GIMP) and half the time I can't see how things turned out on the screen (playing in windowed mode and all).
Hoping to get a few more of the minor bugs I've noticed after posting here kinked out, then I'll get a pseudo-complete version to run on my desktop, where I can see how things mesh a bit better. I'll still post the occasional pic here for suggestions.
Also, I started looking through the other mods from the Technic pack, and I realized just how big of a project Industrial Craft will be. Kinda glad I started with Buildcraft first, otherwise I may have been scared away. Also not sure what I'll be able to do with Thaumcraft.
However, I did manage to get something for the Weapons mod. Using Tlos' alternates for items, I got the Battle axe, War hammer, Javelin, Spear, and Crossbow. Axe was taken straight from the alts, and the others were modified slightly to fit. Still need to get the other weapons figured out, and I may need to make a couple from scratch, or at least cobbled together from other stuff. Anyway, here's what I have so far for that texture sheet. Feel free to leave some thoughts.
EDIT: Before I forget, I tend to remember there being a couple wrench textures at some point as an alternate to… something. Can't quite remember what they were for originally. Shovels, perhaps? Anyway, I was looking for them to replace the three wrenches in the various Technic mods (kinda hard to tell them apart), but I can't find it in the Extras folder. Would you have any idea where it may be? Or shall I start delving the thread again?
FURTHER EDIT: Nevermind about the wrenches, found them. Turns out GTG3000 made a set of four of them, which should work nicely for what I need them for.
I decided to delve back in the archives and dredge up the personalized Minecarts. I know someone had asked where they had gone a while back. Also, if anyone had lost theirs (I know I misplaced mine), they should be able to find it again here… hopefully.
That was another very useful piece of trawling, sheep. Whilst getting the OP videos back in order, I took the liberty of including all the personalised minecarts I did along with what was already there, including the little vid I made of my suspended railway. It's now looking like a proper little rail depot.
OP vids and such are fixed. There's a glitch near the end of my OP where I'm having trouble locating a rogue formatting code, which is knocking all the bold and small font instructions out of line.

No. You definitely move faster than the wind...a speeding musket ball perhaps. Lol! I spend far to long trying to perfect the look of things and chucking stuff to one side. It's just nice to see my alt textures being hammered back into use here in such diverse ways and with your knowledge of the interior workings of mods, you're certainly the right person to do this.
The weapons look great, and yet another mod I haven't heard of. It's great to see Tlos's work being put to good use and I'm really looking forward to seeing what other things get riveted together for use in a steampunk world.
Very well done, mate.
I'm currently motoring on with my Planet Minecraft upload. I'm dithering over pics though.
EDIT: Before I forget, I tend to remember there being a couple wrench textures at some point as an alternate to… something. Can't quite remember what they were for originally. Shovels, perhaps? Lol! You know this place is turning into a real workshop when you can't find the right wrench!
Well, got some good news and some bad news. Good news, I just realized why the sides of the pipes don't show the separator like I thought they would. Bad news is that this means I'll have to adjust every single pipe texture, all 30 of them, by nudging four sections of each over 1 pixel. *Sigh*
Guess I should go to class first, worry about this after I'm done. At least I noticed that it was off. A cookie to anyone else who can notice why! Oh, and just to give you a sporting chance, here's what I have so far for that texture sheet.
EDIT: Just for the fun of it, here's a log of where the textures come from: Pipe Structure: Glass alt, with edges moved to make shape of pipe. Recolored for various pipe types. Mining Pipe, Quarry Pipe, Quarry Frame: Utilized mesh texture, adjusted like pipe structure. Slowsand/glowstone alt added behind the two pipes, and center section from another Glowstone alt added to mining pipe. Mining Machine, Quarry, Pump: Almost all taken straight from alts. Some recoloring, superimposing metal behind glass texture, and underside of pump added fiddly bit copied from side of pump. Pump Pipe: Slightly modified mesh alt. Liquid Tank: Modified mesh texture Waterproofing: Added by hand, single color accent around "glass", noise added, copied to complete set. Conductive Pipe Accent: Red iron block alt, cut down to the right shape and copied. Landmark, Path Marker: Base taken from piston on alt wooden door, light taken from alt diamond, recolored for path marker.
All in all, I think I'm about a third of the way done with this. Still need to find appropriate alts for the architect's table, various builders, the pipe gates, and the laser (as well as figure out what some of those other things are), but all in all, it looks like it's coming along quite nicely.
I feel that the mod would be right at home with your Texture pack

Guess I should go to class first, worry about this after I'm done. At least I noticed that it was off. A cookie to anyone else who can notice why! Oh, and just to give you a sporting chance, here's what I have so far for that texture sheet.
EDIT: Just for the fun of it, here's a log of where the textures come from:
Pipe Structure: Glass alt, with edges moved to make shape of pipe. Recolored for various pipe types.
Mining Pipe, Quarry Pipe, Quarry Frame: Utilized mesh texture, adjusted like pipe structure. Slowsand/glowstone alt added behind the two pipes, and center section from another Glowstone alt added to mining pipe.
Mining Machine, Quarry, Pump: Almost all taken straight from alts. Some recoloring, superimposing metal behind glass texture, and underside of pump added fiddly bit copied from side of pump.
Pump Pipe: Slightly modified mesh alt.
Liquid Tank: Modified mesh texture
Waterproofing: Added by hand, single color accent around "glass", noise added, copied to complete set.
