Weird.... So i built these airship wharf things off the side to a mountain but when minecraft updated, i checked the city again and those wharves and the massive seaship port had dissapeared.
Sorry if i'm being noobish.. i dont know if this is blatently obivous or not :/
Managed to retexture a few things in Railcraft. Here's what I've got so far. All textures are edited versions of Glimmar's. I'll probably put a full sheet together once I get a bit more done, just not sure what to do with some of the various powered tracks.

OMG, I leave for awhile and come back to some freakin spectular stuff. MC1.2 has FINALLY raised the sky limit(can I get an AMEN brothers and sisters?!) and Glimmar has improved on a texture pack that I thought was at it's pinnacle way back in the 1.x days.
Hats off old friend and I hope you and yours are doing better?
To my other online friends...Hola mi amigos!
G-man, sorry to hear life's being difficult for you, hang in there!
PIPE!!
Nice to see ya mang. Any time you want to get the world goin again, lemme know. I can't think of another way to spark my creativity and show off Glimm's pack better.

Yes, I am getting a new world together, affectionately called New Pipe City. Once the Bukkit server software gets updated for MC 1.2, I'll open it up to a very select few. This is a real pay by the month server so I have limited resources at the moment.
I won't be as addicted to MC like I was in the past, but I've been playing at least once or twice a week for a good couple of months now.
Just a tiny suggestion: With 2.3.4 of the patcher having come out, add an alternate color.properties file to the green fire/lava folder, with an additional line "fog.nether=rrggbb" to turn the nether green. I'm currently using 0a3e1a for the fog color, but it looks a little too bright right now.
Actually, for those of us that are comfortable modifying the zip files, it's really easy to do, it's what I did. =D

Not sure what's going on there, MrGoph3r. If it's any consolation I'm having a few weird experiences too. The creative 'allitems' menu doesn't load properly for me unless I switch texture packs then switch back. I suspect that little hiccup is to do with the fact I'm still using an MC Patcher version written for the last snapshot version of Minecraft. I shall check and see if it's been updated.
Might be worth checking all versions of MC Patcher and other mods are up-to-date. I also didn't do a complete clear out of my bin folder and odds and ends in the .minecraft folder (obviously don't clear out your 'saves' folder!).

Brilliant work, sheep.
I really must have another look at that mod, when the dust settles.
I know how busy you are in real life, ksheep, but would you consider putting together a folder of mod support textures, with appropriate instructions on use, credits etc.? Something that could be featured as a download in the OP with full credit to yourself as it's creator, and full credit to anyone submitting appropriate textures.
It's a big ask I know, and knowing how I haven't had the time to do anything so far, I would completely understand if it's too much like hard work, but of anyone I know here, you seem to be able to tinker well with mods, graphics and such and have an excellent understanding of the theme. It would be fantastic to have a repository for mod support and, like Faust, Pipehead and others, I believe we are on the same wavelength so to speak.

Very good advice, Xirema.
When one gets to tinkering in the pack and looking at the possibilities of editing color and light with MC Patcher, it really isn't difficult at all. Blimey! If it was I certainly wouldn't be able to do anything.
My one failing, is that I only build in creative on the surface these days, only viewing the nether as a source for block texture variety. I have no motivation to visit the 'end' at all. Therefore, those places haven't had a look in as yet with regard to MC Patcher, and why the dragon mob skin has taken a back-seat to other things. All excuses I know, but to remain motivated I have to follow my own interests somewhat and creative building in the greatest sandbox game of all time is what gets me fired up.
I'm using the 64x pack, and I found a lack of a skin for iron golems.
Yes, it's still being worked on at present.
Hopefully it will be worth the wait for this theme, but I don't want to rush it and I got sidetracked tinkering with hi-res clouds, new lapis blocks, round holed stone bricks, and editing some other little flaws. All par for the course inbetween updates.
haven't played minecraft for a while, reminders for this pack stopped once again and I totally forgot about this... but I'm back again now.
Nice to see my old stuff back, even tho both mods have been updated and my textures are outdated again... I'll update clay soldier textures as soon as possible
Next huge building project (that I will give up like all the others(clay soldier tournament, Shime coal mine, computer, chinese "lego" house, underwater dome city, skyrim...)) shall be something inspired by this & this i.e. a HUGE airship city/army
(probably should just try to make a steampunk city, one building at a time instead of these impossible tasks...)
this new 1.2 update is quite cool and new redstone components are always welcome... ("energy saving" ceiling lightning, etc)
(offtopic, I am going to see Iron Sky 16.3, that is more than two weeks before official release date )
Dazqo!
I can't believe how many good friends are dropping in this weekend!
1.2 really is well worth the visit though, I agree. So much potential for epicness.
It would be awesome if you could see what needs updating on those mod texture submissions of yours and I'm sure you uploaded other things too.
Good to see you back.
[edit] Let me know what you think of 'Iron Sky'. I saw some trailers and reviews and it looked very interesting indeed and with a mighty tongue in cheek sense of humour.
I know this may seem stupid, but what are the rankings for mine craft forums and how many post do I need to go up?
(ex: treepuncher, out of water, ectera)

Not entirely sure. I think I change from 'Mining God' to 'Ghast Hunter' at 2500 posts! Being the last person to enter the nether and hunt ghasts, I find that highly amusing.
this forum has changed a lot since i posted last time!
i cant wait for the iron golem, i hope it will be a bigdaddy!
It is a mystery to me, d95.
The way I work, even I'm unsure how it will turn out. I swap and change right up 'till the last component and seem to have less and less time...more so at the weekends these days.

I may be able to throw something together in a couple of weeks. This upcoming week looks like it'll be hectic, but the following week is Spring Break, so I'll try to get something together then.
I also started swapping in some of your alternates in to Buildcraft and IndustrialCraft, hope to have a full working version of at least a few of these mods… at some point.
Also, thanks for the heads up for missing Æther stuff. I'll look for that later, when I have more time online.
EDIT: Here's the only Æther edit I could find that was up for download:
I was trying out the Aether mod, like so many others have commented. I decided I'd use my average gimp skills to do a quick and dirty edit using some alternate textures and recolors.
Just drag the Aether folder into your Minecraft jar after installing the aether. I've only done the blocks so far, didn't want to touch mobs or items. If you guys have any feedback, let me know and I'll try and make changes when I can.

Yep! That's the aether mod I meant. I haven't heard from Torturran for a while, so I hope he's still interested...so long as his name is associated with the effort put in, I would hope he won't mind it being offered in this way.
Anything you felt you could do at any point on assembling some kind of mod support would be a bonus, so absolutely in your own time. I will try to feed in a constant stream of useful alt textures when I can, that may or may not be useful and as and when any mod looks like it's covered it could be listed in the OP and given a highlight in the thread title. But it's important that anything done is done without feeling under any obligation or time constraint...it's got to remain fun for you and not become a bind.
Many thanks in advance whether or not you manage to put something together.
Ive been working on the slimes, Im sending the files through a zip on media fire to make sure for safe travels and there is too many slimes. I tried the transparency on the mechanical slimes and the best one that came out of it was this,
Personally I don't like the transparency in the mechanical slimes.
Here is the zip for the slimes, this should eliminate any problems I had before with the transparency in the first slime. It has a lighter version of the 2nd mechanical slime, hopefully to your liking. I even included the mechanical slime that had the transparency, if you would like to work on it or do something with it.
I had a chance to drop these in the pack and have a look. They are all much better, Green. I particularly like the transparent one, even though it's not your favourite, it has a much greater feeling of realism, so I've taken the liberty of making a simple colour edit of it to provide a brass variation also, but all of them will go in the pack, with appropriate credit.
Started fiddling with Buildcraft, got a passable replacement for the pipes, quarry, quarry framework, and mining tube. Just noticed a slight screw-up on my part with one of these, but I plan to have it fixed up soon. Also, I realized that I'm using a slightly out-of-date texture sheet as my base model, so I'll have to swap a few things around. Still have a ways to go before it's anywhere near ready to be released, and as I keep swapping between IndustrialCraft, BuildCraft, and RailCraft, it may take a while. However, it's a fun way to spend a Sunday afternoon.
Once again, all textures are taken from Glimmar's alt textures (some slightly modified).
Mining Well Pipe
Quarry Working Arm
Quarry (Quarry frame pipe fixed, can be seen in later pics)
Wooden and Cobblestone pipe (Updated quarry frame can be seen in background)
Stone and Iron Pipe
Diamond, Gold (unpowered and powered), and Obsidian Pipe

Also, here are some pics of the rail switches in use (forgot to take pics of the Junction, and they have been slightly edited since this pic was taken).
Wooden Rail and Switches
Normal Switch
Still got a ways to go, but it provided a good distraction from my homework for the evening. Hope you enjoy!
EDIT: I may switch the Smoothstone pipe with the Cobblestone Pipe and make a different one for smoothstone. The reason it's black is because I forgot to get some sort of reference up before doing the textures, and the cobblestone one was just black on the sheet.
FURTHER EDIT: I've noticed a couple repeating pixels on the mining pipe which I plan to fix, as well as something similar on the quarry. I'm sure there are other little visual bugs to fix, and I now have a bit more appreciation of what Glimmar does, and why it sometimes takes him a while to get new stuff out… and I'm using mostly pre-made textures!
Hey Glimmar, I think you may have mixed up the Jungle Leaves and normal leaves. My normal leaves look very broad and fern-ish while my jungle leaves are smaller and darker.

I believe that he meant to swap them out like that. As for his rationale… I can't quite remember.
Well… finished a couple more things. Hope you enjoy!
Liquid Tanks
Mining Machine

Still need to make the waterproof pipes, redstone pipes, logistics pipes, high-speed rail tracks, primer rail, holding rail, launcher rail… well, lets just say there's a bunch of stuff left to do.

Curse PremiumTurning cranks always helps me too!
Yer goin' to hate me, but I just remembered an 'aether' mod edit too, I think it was by Torturran. Sorry, mate.
It shows just how much I've let slip by.
