Um thanks I think does this mean you want me to upload the pics or just the robotic ones? Im really confused right now
Oh, my bad. By all means upload them all, they will add nice variety to the slime section of the randommobs. I confused things by saying I still liked the idea behind the robotic alt best and especially in it's 64x rendition. :smile.gif:
If its ok with you I want to make mo' creatures compatible with this pack, Ill do it all myself and you could add it to your extras pack. I just need something to do and I like designing mobs the best. So if I could have your permission that would be awesome

Many thanks, Green. :smile.gif:
The slimes looked ok in your pics, unfortunately I can't use them as they are, as you seem to have lost the transparent nature of that particular mob, either by intention or in saving. I prefer to be able to see through into the interior.
If you could re-edit them so that it's possible to see through the sides of the tank, as in the case of Faust's slime, and have see through parts on the two mechanical alts, I might be able to use them. The darker of the two is a little too dark for my liking.

Ok Ill fix the transparency of that particular slime, Im guessing it is because of saving I didnt do it intentionally. and Ill dim the darker of the robotic slime down to, and add some gel captuals in the robotic one (the transparent parts of the mechanical slimes)
Glimmar you *******! :DI though you weren't updating this anymore! Ever since i stopped using it back in beta i haven't even bothered looking at this thread again cause you weren't updating anymore back then, but it seems that you started again at some point :)What'll happen if i use this with 1.2 snapshot? It's just the iron golem that will be missing right?
Lol! Honest, I never went away. :biggrin.gif:
I had and still have a lot going on in real life, which just means I have to be absent from time to time to give attention to the family and work, but I think I've mostly kept up with updates, well perhaps a few weeks late on a couple of occasions, but never abandoned. :smile.gif:
Yes, you are fine to use this current update with the 1.2 snapshot, that was it's purpose and even better if you use the download below as some things needed correcting from last Sunday's update. Just the Iron Golem and that little thing we call a 'dragon' will still be default.

I look forward to seeing them.
Feel free to upload any mobs here using my textures for the use as randommobs. So long as you don't take offence at me picking and choosing I'm always happy for others to have the opportunity to use stuff, even if I don't choose to put it in the pack. :smile.gif:

Glimmar's Steampunk v3.7.1 for Minecraft 1.1 and 1.2
Here's another heads-up update for those of you who read my thread, before I update the OP. It fixes the issue with 'zombie8' and 'zombie9' not displaying correctly ingame. I had already fixed this before uploading version 3.7 on Sunday, but went and uploaded an earlier edited pack by mistake. Sorry 'bout that:
And the promised 64x water, lava, portal, fire version. This greatly improves on the quality of those animated textures, so if your computer can stand it, I encourage you to try this version:
This 64x version should correctly display animated terrain blocks when using Optifine. All my animated blocks have been upscaled to 64x to match the upscaled resolution of the terrain.png file.
Both versions have had the 'fast' version of the jungle tree leaf texture edited for greater depth, with a darker background to the leaves.
Both versions have had the alternate 'green' world folder updated.
The 'readme' document has been edited to reflect the current pack and Minecraft version number. I forgot to change it previously.
Check out pics in the changelog on page 392 or in my OP if you are downloading this update for the first time.
I will update the OP as soon as I can and post a notice when completed. Then hopefully I'll have another look at that Iron Golem and a normal 'amber lit' world alt, perhaps even with a normal pumpkin and bed in it! Wow, I must be light headed or something. :biggrin.gif:

Well criticism helps me become a better texture artist (as I like to call myself) I figured out why the transparency didnt work on the slime, it was becuase of imageshack so Im going to put it through mediafire when I finish with the mechanical slimes.
Also my next mobs ill do is the mo' creatures mobs because I love that mod and feel it will look nice once Im finished, ive already completed the birds :biggrin.gif:

I'm not so sure it's ImageShack. I use it all the time and it preserves transparency fine...check out all my .png files on display in the OP. It may be the editor you're using, or the way you're saving your files.
Mo' creatures sounds very interesting. Look forward to seeing what you come up with, could be useful for the 'extras' download.
ooooh....64x...I need to check in more often...lol now I finally have room to work with to make custom shader files..
Howdy Grugsy. :smile.gif:
I can't believe both you and Faust have visited me on the same day for the first time in ages! :biggrin.gif:
It feels like you've both ridden into town together.
Hold off on the hopes of my pack being fully 64x, it's just the usual water, lava, fire and portal that's fully 64x, the terrain is just 32x upscaled to 64x so that the animated water etc. isn't automatically downscaled to 32x by MC Patcher. MC Patcher now seems to take it's world resolution setting from the scale of the terrain.png file.
...sorry to disappoint, mate, but good to see you about again!
I'll admit I had to take a break from utilizing the pack since getting our IC2/BC/RP server going a while back, but now I'm really, really tempted to begin making it all work together with the only texture pack I've ever actually loved (I tell the other ones I have such strong feelings, but I know deep inside it's a lie). Keep fighting the good fight my man, you're still a legend around these parts!
I miss you mahogany planks! :sad.gif:

It's getting to be like a reunion round here today. :biggrin.gif:
Always nice to see old friends dropping in. If you manage to get round to trying the pack again, hope it meets with your approval.
Lol! I really should have another go at those planks...I'm sure the mahogany puts folk off! :tongue.gif:
hehe Glimm... who says faust isn't the horse I rode in on? lol (that sounds so bad...)
while disappointing that you only did a quick resize... it still gives me an excuse..lol maybe it will distract me from completely remodeling my textures again...

Huh. I might actually use this pack instead of my Homestuck one...at least until I find a better Homestuck one XD
Although since the forum update, all the coding seems to be broken? So I guess I'll have to wait until that is fixed or something until I can download it ._.
Ive been working on the slimes, Im sending the files through a zip on media fire to make sure for safe travels and there is too many slimes. I tried the transparency on the mechanical slimes and the best one that came out of it was this,
Personally I don't like the transparency in the mechanical slimes.
Here is the zip for the slimes, this should eliminate any problems I had before with the transparency in the first slime. It has a lighter version of the 2nd mechanical slime, hopefully to your liking. I even included the mechanical slime that had the transparency, if you would like to work on it or do something with it.
he said he would not put up Newglim for download for a bit but he might later.
Exactly right...but it might actually be a lot later, as it really is the place I relax in and the place I test new textures. I also want to use it for making a number of guided tours when it's up to scratch.

I think this texture would go really well with the Technic Pack, they do kind of fit into the same theme with technology and stuff, it would look amazing with the Technic Pack texure in the style of this pack.
As I often say, there are many mods that would work wonderfully well with this theme, but my time is very limited due to RL commitments and I have to give priority to updates and finishing things off to my liking. There are still many textures in the main part of the pack (not the Randomobs) donated by very kind users, that were always considered as temporary place holders (the textures...not the kind users! ).
If anyone would like to cover my salary for a year, perhaps I could give up work and concentrate full time on the pack!
