Oii my torches have strange lines around them like outlines to invisible polygons. I patched the game right after i put it in the tp folder.
Could someone shed some light on how to fix this please?
Are there any plans to take advantage of the new update to the Texture Patcher? (TL;DR: Texture Pack makers now have greater control over biome colors, lighting colors, and so forth, and support is now available for biome-specific coloration on blocks other than grass/leaves)
I'm very curious as to what could be done with this texture pack with those additions.
Could you please add a direct download?
It would really help, i have a bunch of firewalls that crap up links, so neither of them are working for me...
It would really be appriciated, i <3 this texture pack :biggrin.gif:
I want to say I LOVE this pack and I constantly use it.I just have one SMALL one tiny complaint. The pumpkins. I have a pumpkin farm in my town. So growing helmets... doesn't really look right.. (haha)Any chance we can get a slight altered pack with that or some kind of revolution? I know this might be asking a bit much :smile.gif: Thanks in advance~
Glad you like the texture pack, _Poly_ and thanks for taking the trouble to say so. As regards the pumpkin... I'll get round to making a sort of traditional alternative sometime, but there are many other pressing things to do too. I am pretty committed to the helmet/lamp texture for reasons I've explained many times (boring long winded explanation in my OP) and more so because of the way the snowman uses the pumpkin for a head.
You have given me a nice lead in to telling everyone that, despite having zilch free time due to my Father Christmas duties, I have put together a little present for all you loyal friends for the festive season, in the form of my 'Steampunk Snowmaker Machine':
Glimmar's Steampunk Snowmaker Machine
There's still a little work to do, and a possible variation or two (if I get a little time), but in any event I hope to upload your Christmas present before Christmas...as is the right and proper thing to do. :smile.gif:

I've seen this problem on my son's old computer and I think it was caused by his Radeon graphics card. We have other computers all of which have nVidia graphics cards and these never exhibited those block outlines.
Updating your driver for the card may solve the problem...if AMD/Radeon's latest drivers have fixed it that is. It may be something else entirely, but I have personally seen what you describe.
Thank you Glimmar! Thanks to you I started reading Perdido Street Station and so far it is a very good book :biggrin.gif:
Glad you're liking it. He really is a very inventive writer, but doesn't hold back on the weird and wonderful. I'm reading 'the Time Machine' by H.G.Wells yet again... 'cos I've tracked down a sequel to the story by another author who I love. Just my late night Christmas reading (two pages a night is what I average, before I fall unconcious! :biggrin.gif:)

I knew this was being worked on, but didn't know it was now out. I shall certainly be taking advantage of it, but unfortunately, because of the festive season, it will probably be early in the New Year when I get round to tackling it.
All my old biome colour triangles are in the 'extras' download and the most recent are in the 'misc' folder in my texture pack.
I think there's a steampunk airplane in the 'extras' download (in the OP). It's a brilliant mod for sure (if I'm thinking of the same mod as you), but I doubt I'll have time to look again at it for some time. :sad.gif:
That's looking mighty fine Mr PATR101. You'll have to show us some more.
I've been working a little on my Newglim world too. I never tire of building in Minecraft...it's so incredibly relaxing at the end of a busy day. :smile.gif: I'll upload some more pics, perhaps even a movie, over the festive holiday if I get chance.

Glad you like the pack, SHADOWHAND1999, but I'm not sure how to do that. Despite what everyone may think, I'm probably the most internet unsavvy person you've ever met! :blink.gif:

Well, I better get back to finishing pressies for the family and putting the finishing touches to the snowman Snowmaker Machine.
In case my next post or update is very rushed, I will wish you all now a very Merry Christmas and a Happy (and prosperous) New Year. Take care...and, if you celebrate Christmas, I hope you all get some nice pressies and may I thank you for your support and enthusiasm over this past year, it has been much appreciated. :smile.gif:
Hey Glimmar! Just wanted to say I really enjoy your texture pack. I've always been a fan of the steampunk art style/aesthetics(sp?) I also just love the color tones you've used for the wooden planks and netherbricks.
I do, however, have a request for you. Do you think you could try to make your texture pack compatible with the better than wolves mod? I know you don't have much time at the moment, but if you ever do find the time to do so, I think it would be a great idea. My reasoning is thus:
a large amount of items and blocks in BTW would lend itself nicely to the whole steampunk world if textured properly. First and foremost would be the water wheel. This in and of itself would make making steamships possible. I mean what is a steampunk world without a steamship? Not to mention the whole idea of mechanical powers just has the right 'feel' when properly applied to the victorian steampunk era. Albeit steam power would seem more appropriate.(to fix this, you could modify the axle textures from wood to metal pipes, or the very least just make the wooden axles have the same texture as the wooden planks.)
I know this would be a large project and rather difficult to pull off, but if done, I think it would make this texture pack even better!
Well, that's enough of my begging, I hope you have a very merry Christmas yourself!

For now i can't share any more pics because of Skypia is one of three capital cities on our server. When the server will be opened you can visit Skypia and see everything by yourself :happy.gif: Then i'll share some more screens.
When i first time played on minecraft server - my first house was built on a little flying island. Since then all my houses were flying ) I like concepts of flying cities so much.
By the way, i have something you may be interesting in. On our test server i built first Skypia, here is the video http://minus.com/mZjMDuhHk#. (this clip is not finished, and it's darker than original one)
The city was named Arbyzlandia. Simple translation is "Watermelon city", this was began as a funny city with the watermelon king ) When i came there we have reborned our city from main server under the Arbyzlandia (you can see it in the end of video) after that i built fist flying island. Then one more and more and more) And then Skypia was born )
here is some pictures of my cannons and some other stuff

lol I watched the time machine as a movie yesterday!I was supposed to write something else here too but can't remember what it was...
Epic work there, mate!
Not sure I understand how things work in those pics as I've never experimented with launching projectiles, but they look awesome nonetheless.

I have to completely agree with you about the Better Than Wolves mod. I've been aware of it since it's release. Like many other mods that deal with mechanical stuff, etc. it would be wonderful to make steampunk compatible textures for use with this pack. My problem is I don't have much free time to look at all these excellent mods in depth, but rest assured if I do this would be one of those mods I'd have a go at.
Think I'm going to have to construct my Snow-golem army after you put out that update...Great work as always! :biggrin.gif:
Haha! I only just wiki'd the fact that you can use these snowmaker machines for defence purposes. I had a little go and it was hilarious to watch a phalanx of SM's beating back a couple of zombies. :biggrin.gif:

Awesome! I love the idea of floating cities, but like all the other things I intended to get round to working on in my world I've yet to start on one.
I'm intending working on a 'nautilus' style sub in my dock area over the Christmas break...if the kids let me. I managed to find a 'Meccano' construction set at a real bargain price, so that's going in my Christmas stocking this year and might well distract me from Minecraft for a few days! :smile.gif:
Hey Glimmar don't think I've ever commented here before, so just to make sure, here we go.
I can'e BEGIN to tell you how much I love this pack. The amount of detail put into every texture is incredible. Not to mention the incredible overhaul of Minecraft to feel so Steam-punk-y. Steam-punk is something I've always been fascinated by, and this pack further feeds my addiction. Well done.

Really glad you like the pack, vfd42, and thanks for stopping by and taking the time to say so, it is always encouraging and always appreciated. :smile.gif:
Glad to see this thread is getting active again. I thought it was going to die down for a while there! I couldn't bear to see such a great texture pack die. :sad.gif:

Curse PremiumI think he was complimenting the pack as looking better than one would normally expect from a 32x.
im terrible with anything skins and it would be awesome to use them for our steampunk server.
