If I was to pick one person able to stave off the creeping madness and gibbering horror being a moderator induces, it would be you. Not because you are particularly resilient but because you are already so far beyond the twist it would be like crying into the ocean. :wink.gif:
So, congratulations on the acquisition of a large pool of test subjects to torment and warp as you see fit. :wink.gif:

Tis far better to be a witty fool than a foolish wit.
moved it to a more proper location....middle of a lake :wink.gif:
added more tree rings to the bases of the main pillars. if you look close, you can see rails, i have storage carts running on automated loops along the bridge. i had an idea of making an automated cargo delivery system to drop carts into a waiting ship underneath the center of the bridge, theres 2 rails that cross under there. use pistons to push them off the tracks, lower them down, etc.

Glimmar, if you haven't already you really need to put this pack on minecraftcustomizer.net. I used to use that special 'texture mix' machine you link to in the OP, but now it doesn't seem to be there anymore....the link just takes you to a thread with a zip file. Which is non-helpful.
Just a suggestion, but I think lots of people (including me) would love being able to screw around and mix-and-match your textures with ease. If any pack needs to be on the customizer website, it's definitely yours. :3
EDIT: Also, having it on the customizer site would allow everyone to know what all the alternate textures are supposed to be-- aka, is this particular block supposed to be netherrack, or iron block, or clay, etc.
If you do put this up on the customiser, I don't mind you putting up the Steamcraft textures I've edited/made. As far as I'm concerned, those are essentially yours anyway.
that clay soldier mod is hilarious...the warfare that ensues is pure awesomeness. you steampunking the little guys?
meanwhile, the fortress continues to grow:
that huge tree ring has a walkable path underneath that forest. im thinking of some sort of piston based contraption to sit in the center of that.
added another railway/bridge, with a lot of automated carts running around it
trying to think of how to connect that big ring to the main structure, but thats tomorrows story :wink.gif:
write mine in bold letters... with asterisks.. gonna need it...loledit: seriously though...grats man. we need more of us (by us I mean the established, adult Artists on the forum) moderating...
...also as glimmar thinks its impossible or will take forever, prove him wrong. FIND A FRIEND, OFFER TO BUY SOMEONES ABILITY TO HIT THE +1` REP BUTTON, I dont care what 7 people click +1 rep to the main post, we just want it to happen. For a deserving artist we as a community can do this!also *puts dog poo in bag, lights bag on fire, places on faust doorstep, rings bell and dives into bushes*MWUHAHAHAHAHA
I'm still trying to get off his lawn...don't!...Oh! Clink...Clank...Sssss!
'deserving artist', not sure you got the right person there if you mean me, but I appreciate what you've done, dorian. :smile.gif:
Always glad to be of help, Glimm. Here's a little tribute, to keep those creative juices flowing:STEAM CREEPER!
You've always been a great source of info, mate...no question. Another great idea there and a reminder of all the things I should be editing, but time is a fickle mistress. :sad.gif:
Congrats Faust. I guess this means you no longer have to go all vigilante. Just try to remember who your friends are.*slips a couple under the table* ¬_¬
I hope this thread holds up in court as evidence when I get accused of bribing Faust! :biggrin.gif:
I'd find the page he said it, but this thread has gotten rather massive since I've been following it. He did say that the gold and diamond armor are placeholders.
He's been busy with real-life stuff recently, and his approach to texturizing is to just work on whatever he feels like at the time. What he felt like most recently was the animations, which I must say are quite well done.
If I was to pick one person able to stave off the creeping madness and gibbering horror being a moderator induces, it would be you. Not because you are particularly resilient but because you are already so far beyond the twist it would be like crying into the ocean. ;)So, congratulations on the acquisition of a large pool of test subjects to torment and warp as you see fit. :wink.gif:
Here's the Enderman texture, if anyone wants to take a look at it.
I was having a good look at it last night, thanks mate. Not sure what to do with it until I see it in action or see some vids of it in action. Same with the silver fish...which I'm assuming now is going to be some sort of wood chewing insect. Is it going to be implemented in the 1.8 update?

It's definately planned, but means I'll still have to set aside a big chunk of my time to work on it, even with the generous offer of assistance from the MinecraftCustomizer chaps, so it'll be a little while off yet. I still need to spend a lot of time deciding what goes where, especially as a lot of my alt textures are ambiguous to say the least.
One thing for sure, there'll be a lot of alt brick textures after I took your advice to have another look at the brick. A nice new one coming...just need to tone down the red. :smile.gif: One thing that's bothering me is my five course brick...does anyone have an inkling whether there will be a half brick in the 1.8 update...or planned for the future? If there was, I'd have to change my new brick block again back to four courses.
In my next update, which as previously mentioned will not be quick, there will also be a subtle new mossy cobble and clay amongst other things. I still want to make the clay useful as an alt building block, not just a source of material for bricks, but I'm trying to make it more natural...perhaps like marble again?
I just noticed that kz.png has still old pipes, so if anyone wants the new pipes here they arealso, I'm starting to steampunkify claysoldiers mod...
As MaudDib says, that mod looks hilarious! :biggrin.gif:
Faust did the same as you with the new pipes too. It might not make it in the next update, but I want to change quite a few things in the kz.png file, but you've both saved me a job when I get round to it. By the way Dazqo, could I use your pigzombie mob skin you uploaded way back? I wanted to use back then, but you disappeared for a while...a bit like me. :smile.gif:
Wow, I feel bad for not +1 repping this pack earlier! I could've sworn I had before though.... :unsure.gif: Anywho, congrats on the 'popular' status Glimmar, I recently obtained it myself. Gave me quite a big smile of achievement when I saw it!The new animations look great too. Fantastic work on them, Glim!
Thanks, Sheep...much appreciated. I noticed my own name on that list. I seriously don't know how that got there! I guess when the forums changed I was pressing every button there was to see what happened. :biggrin.gif:
If you do put this up on the customiser, I don't mind you putting up the Steamcraft textures I've edited/made. As far as I'm concerned, those are essentially yours anyway.
Thanks Proloe...much appreciated. That's the other side of things that make's uploading time consuming, because I want to make sure everyone is properly credited, like yourself for example. :smile.gif:

MaudDib...truly gobsmacked by those constructions of yours. That's just amazing. When I get time (that phrase of mine will be on my tombstone), they are definately bound for my OP along with your CPU constructions, with your permission of course.
Now if I'm not around for a while again, up to and past the 1.8 update, it just means I'm being as efficient as I can with my limited time, but I will be looking at your suggestions, ideas and experiences and working on my update as quick as I can.
I do believe silverfish are going to appear randomly while mining (either mining mining or just destroying any kind of block, it's rather unclear) and try and hurt you, and yes they are going to be in 1.8
Yes, Brick Slabs, Brick Stairs, Stone Brick, Stone Brick Slabs, Stone Brick Stairs, Fence Gates will be in 1.8
There, to help you texture for the future. :tongue.gif:
Thanks, Santairo. :smile.gif:
Well back to the drawing board for my brick texture. I always thought the size of the brick in a four course block was oversized, but with a forthcoming halfbrick, etc. I'll definately have to return to four levels. :sad.gif:
Without a doubt, a lot to check over in the next update. :huh.gif:
I still want to make the clay useful as an alt building block, not just a source of material for bricks, but I'm trying to make it more natural...perhaps like marble again?
I support this idea. ^^ But maybe have it be a bluish gray color, like the clay that comes default with minecraft, so that it will make sense as marble.

Curse PremiumIf you've the patience have a look back through this thread or just google 'Steampunk Cities', etc.
Eeek! Don't leave me behind on Faust's lawn! [I didn't stoke up the boiler on my armoured suit]..."clink...clank..Ssssss"!
Faust? Adult? :tongue.gif:
I'm still trying to get off his lawn...don't!...Oh! Clink...Clank...Sssss!

That's what's worrying me. I hope it's not gonna make you all serious and...and...'admin-like'. [sorry admin] :sad.gif:
Exactly so!
Sadly there's a little thing called 'real life'. :smile.gif:
Thanks, mate.
:smile.gif:
Lol! :biggrin.gif:
I thought I was his father.
...Now I'm all confused. :huh.gif:
Haha! Now I'm very afraid! :ohmy.gif:
Only the little blocky one's, but they disappear at midnight.
I was like that when I heard Faust got moderator status! :tongue.gif:
