Not entirely sure. Did you add the custom animations to the main folder of the Pack, are they named properly, and did you re-zip it afterwards? Also, make sure you select the edited version of the pack in Minecraft.
Yeah, all I did was unzip the regular .zip file, drop in the custom animations (These are all of the names, I did place in a couple other ones for water that I liked from a different pack, but I don't think that would be the problems since I tried it without them and it still didn't work: custom_lava_flowing.png, custom_lava_still.png, custom_portal.png, custom_water_flowing.png, custom_water_still.png, custom_water_stillalt.png ) and then re-zip it. After that I went into mine craft and selected the new name I made for it and nothing happened.

Hmm… I dunno what to tell you. I'd say just fiddle around with it some more, see if you can't get it to work. If all else fails, I'd suggest forcing an update on Minecraft when you start up to get a clean .JAR and re-patching it. Just make sure you have backups of any other mods you have installed.

Well, I tried re-downloading it and re patching it, but to no avail, it still gives the same problem as before :sad.gif: I'm happy with the texture pack as it is, but I'm just wondering why its acting like this.

If you upload the .zip you are trying to use (with all the custom animations in it) to mediafire or somewhere and PM me the download link I will take a look at it later tonight and see if I notice anything out of place or what might be causing the problem.
Hi Glimmar, just a quick question- if I (or a group of others) were to include a couple of your paintings in a remix pack of Dokucraft (in the style of Gerudoku), would you allow it if you were given due credit in the OP and in a .txt file in the pack? It's all theoretical of course, but I'm hoping such a project is going to happen now that DOkucraft has unfortunately been discontinued for the forseeable future.
I was trying out the Aether mod, like so many others have commented. I decided I'd use my average gimp skills to do a quick and dirty edit using some alternate textures and recolors.
Just drag the Aether folder into your Minecraft jar after installing the aether. I've only done the blocks so far, didn't want to touch mobs or items. If you guys have any feedback, let me know and I'll try and make changes when I can.
I saw that on CatptainSparkles channel. I am still wondering if this is real life or some beautiful dream that I will wake up from and realize that I no longer have anything to live for because of it.

My Website. I make mods for Minecraft and am also making my own game.
I have an idea that would make your texture pack even more enjoyable,
You see, some of the mobs have texture that turn them into robots. Awesome, really fitting for the texture pack. One problem, though: they still have their old, organic sounds. If you (or someone you know) could make a pack that changes the sound of mobs into more robotic sounds (mechanic voices/sounds and electric sounds), the texture pack will be even better! It doesn't modify the minecraft.jar, neither does it take any coding (as far as I know).
The sound files for mobs are in the folder (for Windows): \Application Data\.minecraft\resources\newsound\mob. As far as I know, you only have to change the sound file.
Please take this under consideration.

PS: You made the fire from the torches green. Looks nice, but this also affects the small flames jumping out of the lava. It looks quite strange when green fire comes out of the red/orange lava.
I'm back temporarily from vacation, but trying to catch up with real work commitments and family matters (my wife has to go back to hospital for further tests over the next few days) also our 2yr old border collie was hit by a car that didn't stop (leaving my son in tears on the side of the road) and she's just had her pelvis rebuilt with stainless steel plates, so hope you'll understand my prolonged abscence and inability to read all your posts here. :sad.gif:
Many thanks to all for your continued interest...you're a good set of Minecraft mates and I'm very grateful to those who I would consider as friends here for keeping things rolling.
I'm just quickly posting to say I've updated Proloe's 'SteamCraft' mod link, so for those who use it, head back up to my OP on the first page and get the latest version...as of 1st August 2011. Hope I've not messed the link.
I'm keeping a look out for Notch's next update and intend to try and update as soon as possible after and whenever I get time to relax I'm still tinkering with this and that on the pack. However, so that I don't get sucked in, I've not read any of the above posts, but I will do when I get more time.
Once again, thanks for dropping in and keeping this thread alive. 's to you all
Sorry to hear about the doggy Glimm :sad.gif: (but glad to hear she's recovering...even if your pocket book isn't). Hope the better half gets all better soon. Real life can be a meany sometimes.
We miss ya around here and will still hold the fort til you can get back.
if you can you should put the steve steampunck guy up for download as a minecraft skin.
If you mean that char.png skin (from the pics) that you want upload on minecraft.net which will be visible on you when playing, then I don't think it's possible. Last time I tried something like that, it didn't work. It's because the resolution is too high. Your (uploaded) skin is visible to other players, but it doesn't come from your pc, but from minecraft.net. You can change other textures because it's client-side. From minecraft.net it's not.
I concur with all the other regulars. Hope things turn out better soon. Come back well rested, and make sure that the rest of your family also gets some relaxation. Seems like they need it right about now.
Wonderfull texture pack, but the nether doesn't work for me. Or netherportal.
Is it updated or has it just not been done?
Or did I download an old file?
