Just to let you know, I've decided to give ImageShack a try. I'll be transferring all my photos over to it on the next couple days. If you'd like the URLs for use in the OP, I'll send a PM your way with the link to all of them... once they're all up.
Say hi to the ma'am for me. Hope she's doing well.
:smile.gif:
This is a knish...
Never had one. It's one of those irritating words you here people say on TV to me
:biggrin.gif:
This is not a knish..this is what you didn't see up there and can't for another 4 days. Although you've all seen it before, but this is displayed with various textures (see if you know who's)

The only problem I've had on occasion with ImageShack is when uploading. Occasionally it hangs in the middle of an upload. Which may be a problem at my end with virus protection or just too many ads loading at ImageShack's end causing things to slow down. Oher than that any image uploaded seems to have been nicely preserved, and as you know I've got loads of images around here! :biggrin.gif:
Oh, yes please, with regard to your pic URLS. I missed your domed island pics in my OP, but like a lot of Pipe's images they just weren't showing up any more and last update I had a little tidy up. I hope I get some more nice images soon after the 1000 Point Competition.

Mmm! I like the look of knish...certainly better looking than my fish and chip supper. My better half is doing ok, but in a lot of pain in her leg...had a suspicious lump removed and stitched up, but now going through the pain threshhold after the anaesthetic wore off. I'm not good with pain these days and getting more squeamish as I age! :blink.gif: I did suggest she could have a nice steampunk prosthesis attached while they were at it, but that didn't go down too well. I guess some people just don't like Steampunk!!! :biggrin.gif:
Hope your wife feels better soon. Mine just had a surgery as well, a c-section, to be precise.I love the time zone differences. It is morning were I live and I am guessing it is afternoon were you are. Not sure when teatime is though. :S
Thanks 42. :smile.gif: All our kids were born the c-section way. All I can say is my wife's a lot tougher than me when it comes to surgery and pain. Hope your wife feels better too.
'Teatime' for anyone who grew up at the lower end of the social spectrum here in NorthWest England, would be what my social betters would call 'evening meal', usually consumed between the hours of 5.00 and 7.00pm, or in the case of my kids 3.30-11.00pm!!!
No matter how many times i try to patch it with the HDPatcher the water and lava just dosent seem to work, ive started with a fresh JAR more then once and retried it without success, is there somthing i am missing when i use the patcher? because it just wont animate.
Disierd, You may be looking for more animation than I currently provide. :smile.gif:
I don't have any animation strips in my pack (those things called 'custom_water_still.png, etc.). Personally I don't like animated still water, because from a distance I find even the best animated water has atrocious patterning issues, and the way epic builds look from a distance is very important to me. In a steampunk world I'm happy for the water to remain motionless and 'becalmed', especially as it looks so much better from afar.
Having said that, I am currently experimenting, albeit unsuccessfully so far, with water and lava animation to see if it is possible to have very subtle movement without the horrible repetitive patterning one gets over great expanses.
However, even my unanimated water should still move and still look rather nice flowing, because it isn't limited by 'directional flow' animation. My flowing lava should also move, but that and still lava do need attention because I'm never happy with the way they look! :sad.gif:
Do you have the latest MC Patcher for 1.7+ from kahr? Make sure under 'options' in the patcher, that water, lava, fire and portal are set to 'Custom Animated'.
Incidentally I don't have custom fire and portal animations yet either. Animation isn't my forte, and as regards fire and portal, I'm currently more than happy with Notch's originals while I concentrate on bringing other things up to scratch and try my best to keep up with updates!
Sorry to disappoint, but for personal use you could always import the animated strips from other packs into the zip file. Good luck. :smile.gif:
@ Everyone: I've finished work on a new redstone wire/pipe. If I get a chance today I'll upload some pics and a new terrain.png for you to try it out.
I've got my nurses outfit on at the mo' (steampunk version I hasten to add! I'm not that weird... :blink.gif: ) looking after my wife, so I'll be struggling to get on the forums over the next few days.
Okay I found the link to Xtream art for 1.7 1 page back from the newest and with the artwork was able to finish my Land Leviathan (not Levitation)! Here are some screenshots, but I'm not sure if I liked the way it turned out... It's a bit cluttered and the drill arms ended up too small to make properly.
Here's the Original that I used for a guide.
Here it is without any detailing.
Perspective with Details.
Side view.
Top View. Note the crab-like shape.
Another little thing I made that could be seen in the background of the other shots. It's a personal walker.
Hello, I saw this video on YouTube and wanted the gold/iron block texture for my custom personal texture pack. It seems that the texture is from your pack, do you have a texture that looks like them? Here's the video:
I'm talking about the gold block texture at 4:50 and the iron block texture at 4:52. It looks like modified textures from your alternative textures that go to your pack. Do you have those textures, or did he mod those textures himself?

I'm not entirely sure. The gold looks like it's from the alternate textures, but the riveted corners may have been added in. Also, the iron looks like it may have just been an edited version of one of the alternate textures, although I can't remember all of the alts off the top of my head.

Both are based on the textures of Glimmar, and perhaps modified by someone else.
I've only been back for a two days, but I've been busy. I have a new world, house, 9 dogs, a hidden torture chamber, and a tower I am yet to do anything with. I'll post pictures tomorrow, then take another 1 month hiatus to go volunteer in the Dominican Republic. It's great to see all the progress going on here and that Glimmar is still doing the minecraft community the huge huge blessing he's been doing for almost a year now.
My god man. I go away for a bit and your up to 300 pages already. amazing =)
ya im still around. my last machine died a horrible death, taking much of my work with it. add to that a few months living abroad, and just now settling down. I'm rebuilding my cpu project again, and maybe get back into a bit of modding *nudge nudge, wink wink*
a little teaser of the Ironworks:
this is quite a condensed version of what I had in the first incarnation. This is based on the popular "Hack" platform most people are emulating. You are looking side on at the ALU, inputs at the left (2 layers, 16 bits each) with inverter/zero circuits attached to a bank of full adders. that is pretty much the entire arithmetic unit...needs much more work like registers, control logic, program counter, memory...all in good time =)
Could you fix pumpkins and bricks? They look a little... odd. As well, could you make lava look like its flowing? (when it actually is) No rush, just it would be nice for those t be fixed. Thanks for the otherwise great texture pack!

Did you use the MCPatcher HD fix. It is linked in the OP and located here. It will fix the fire and portal textures in the brick. Which is what I am assuming you are talking about.
The new update didnt mess with the textures did it? I couldnt see in the notes that it would but I'm just asking to make sure
Just a bug fix update, no textures were changed.
It's only the mod folks that really need to worry about the sub-sub version number updates. Texture packs won't be updating till 1.8 when we get whatever new blocks/mobs/stuff that is adding to the game. (Watch as Notch does another update like the fishing rod fix and proves me wrong. >_>)
