I adore this skin, the armours are awesome, everything is awesome.
Except in my copy (and the copy of my friends) the texture for the nether doesn't load/appear as it is in the screencaps. It sort of looks like running water instead of an iron foundry. Is this just me and is there anything we can do? Since I really don't want to change texture packs at all. :sad.gif:
Many thanks~
Use the MCPatcher (or whatever it is called now). It should be the top stickied thread in Texture packs, or you could click this link. This will fix all the problems including the ones on the brick and gold block.

Glad you like, RoseGecko. :smile.gif:
Kendawg11 is absolutely right on both counts...yes you need to use the MC Patcher (link in my OP in my instructions for installation) and yes I probably need to make it even more obvious that's it's a necesary requirement for any pack with a greater resolution than 16x (the default). Once you get used to it though, you'll love it, because as much as you might like my texture pack the Patcher, once applied, allows you to swap back and forth between packs of all resolutions whilst still ingame. I shouldn't be telling you this...ssshhhhh...just keep using mine instead. :biggrin.gif:
The sound mod has yet to be updated i believe....otherwise I'd be working on ambient Mythos and Steampunk files...(makes you more excited to work on something if you know it's gonna work :tongue.gif:)
For steampunk it would be awesome to hear distant factory noises, steam engines and clackety clack of trains on rails, etc. inplace of the screechs and cavern sounds. Then again...don't listen to me, because it's ages since I went spelunking, so I wouldn't want to spoil everyone's caving experience. It's just in a world of machines it would be very atmospheric on the surface to have those distant sounds of heavy industry. :smile.gif:
For your Mythos, have you thought about distant chanting as an ambient sound? I'd find that very scary down under ground or in a vast temple complex. :blink.gif:
It'd be a new line of business for you, mate...different sound collections for all the theme packs out there.
Hmmm I don't see how my sound files cant be working, I replaced all the original music files with versions of my own; same file type and name.
Without the mod, the game automagically downloads the sound files again every time you connect. The mod adds a text file that tells the game not to update.
Nevermind, the version of without the brown belts on the armor icons made the items have a white background instend of transparent.
You need to edit them with Paint.NET, Gimp or Photoshop and make sure you save them with transparency. Not sure, but you may have been using Windows Paint which doesn't support transparency. :smile.gif:
Looks like this week's Worth1000 Minecraft contest is Steampunk. If you'd like to display your work (and have a chance of winning another Minecraft account), I'd suggest checking it out.

Haha! Not that I'm biased or anything, but that sounds like a good idea for a comp. Thanks for the heads up, mate.
I've a lot on this next couple of weeks, so I'm not sure I'd be able to do anything myself, but I'd love for others to have a go with my textures. I hope Pipehead and some of the other builders of recent times will submit something. Are you going to enter?
Believe it or not I'm very nervous when it comes to comps...very low self esteem I guess! Lol! One day I'm going to give texturing up and just have fun and build stuff in Minecraft, after that I might start showing off my builds...there's just not time to do both. :sad.gif:
Anyways I'll keep an eye on the comp and see if anyone uses my texture pack. Thanks again, ksheep.

Unfortunately, I don't have too many builds that I haven't already entered into other contests, and they are kinda picky about that. Also, I've been busy and I don't see having much time to build something new and original. Still, hope to see some of the other stuff people have posted here on, and who knows, maybe one of you will win.
I am not a big fan of steampunk in general but this pack is fantastic. After looking through the OP I can see why you are reluctant to upload this pack to that customizer site. However, I think it was mentioned that you could upload the original .png file then upload the same file with the alts and it would detect the differences. Even then, though, you would be looking at hours of work. I am impressed with the amount of work that has gone into this pack.

Many thanks 42and19. :smile.gif: I'm impressed by your work too!
I think I will upload something basic first to the Customiser site and see what's involved, but along with The_Fool76's new downloadable Texture Mix Machine it should give folk a range of options for changing some of my more unusual textures around.
Time really is a factor though, because even with the semi-automated facility for uploading, it would still take a considerable amount of my freetime, which at this stage I'd rather put into finishing new stuff here. Summer is a very busy time for me in real life with work, kids and school holidays, etc. However, it does have an impressive array of options for swapping stuff around in the pack and is very nicely presented, but The_Fool's Mix Machine makes life easier for me! :smile.gif:
I can sympathize, seems like I spend most of my time cleaning the apartment, looking for a job and taking care of the kids. Thankfully my wife is wonderful and does more than I do around the house. When I get some alt texture I plan on using that site for Impression. For now it would be kind of pointless. XD

Curse PremiumThanks, Disetha. I love that game even though I never completed it (by a long stretch)...undoubted influence. :smile.gif:
Thanks, mate. The fame (if there ever was any) is dwindling fast...thank goodness! :smile.gif:
Thanks, Tuzik. :smile.gif:

Just to re-iterate folks, ksheep has kindly given us notice of a 'Steampunk' building competition over at 'Worth1000 Minecraft' here's the link: http://minecraft.worth1000.com/contests/27357/steampunk
So if you've anything finished or close to being finished, hurry on over and get it submitted.
