Glimmar,
I have just realized that I have followed (lurked) your thread since page 43 and now it is to page 287. It has the most replies of any texture pack topic, but it is about to be dethroned by dokucraft. But apart from that, I have really loved your art style. I remember a while ago you posted one of your RL works, by chance would you be willing to do that again. Or maybe (crosses fingers), you could link us to an online gallery? Well, 244 pages later and I still use this pack. Thanks.

I uploaded a few of the blocks/items I edited/made for the Steamcraft version of this pack. Thought I'd put them up here in case people want to use them separately.
From left to right is: Flint and Steel, Lapis Lazuli, Iron Block, Gold Block, Diamond Block, Torch, Lit Furnace.
Ha ha! Don't get me number watching, kendawg11! :blink.gif: I'm purposefully trying not to do that.
It's a certainty that doku's and John Smith's pack will easily overtake mine and already have done in terms of popularity. The majority undoubtedly see Minecraft as medieval/fantasy. I'm happy beavering away when i get time, and as long as a few megolomaniacs and steampunk sci-fi nutcases (like me!) express an interest in the pack, I'll keep uploading anything new I might have been working on for you...
...Speaking of which, I will include all those contributions of alternative textures above in the 'extras' download (No_44, Tlos, Proloe), unless otherwise told not to. I will of course include your name with anything that's included for as long as it is offered in the download, so that folk clearly understand who did what. Thank you for sharing and taking an interest. :smile.gif:
Just finished a brand new furnace to add to the other stuff I've been tinkering with, but I must get that iron armor finished...think of a slightly more Victorian take on Fallout and you might get an idea what lines I'm pursuing with iron. Lol! :biggrin.gif: I'll save any surprises for the next update. Incidentally, what does everyone think of the new 'piston' addition, and any ideas yet when the new update is planned for?
Only cause I have soooo much to catch up on already though...
Lol! Yeh, I'm a bit pistoned off too, only because I held off for ages doing a texture for the original mod and when Jeb's version came along it was completely different. It looks like the textures for it are cut from wood, stone and iron, rather than separate textures...I'm probably wrong, but I'd much rather have a separate texture any day...I'd hate to have to tinker with my iron block simply because it didn't look right on the piston!!
The thinner shaft is growing on me. Didn't like it at first and it definately looks odd stopping water and just adds to all the other anomalies existent with water, but it definately looks more 'piston-like' to me now.

What's all this talk about pistons and shafts? Is there something coming out with 1.7?
This is both embarrassing and cool at the same time....
<--- Look at my post count
:biggrin.gif:
Yay! Your 2,000th post is forever captured for posterity in my thread!! :biggrin.gif:
Awe...I thought your title was going to change to something like 'MiningZeus' or something. :tongue.gif:
Following on from my complaints about water anomalies, look at this vid for how a Minecraft equivalent sandbox game might look in years to come...at least the liquid mechanics look very cool:

Yeah...my title should be SPammity SPAAAM!!
:biggrin.gif:
I posted an article about Dust on my guild's forums. The original artistic dude from "Out of This World" is helping...looks very cool indeed.
Lol! I thought Minecraft was a decent family sandbox game until all this talk about pistons! :tongue.gif:
Pipe and I were laughing about that. I said "I ain't commenting on no pistons or shafts until some one else does. Glimm's is a family oriented thread."

The Megalomania is already kicking in. I've been building on a server for some days now, and I build a lighthouse. It was not big enough to be satisfying, so a week ago I build a babylonian temple, and when it was finished, wanted to make something bigger. I now made this;
The ground on wich it stands alone is 4 times bigger than my last build, and it's still not big enough. I feel as if I'm halibut himself after finishing this, but it's too small to be compared to his builds. I'm planning on building a steep variation on this temple, maximum size, with a sheepshead and creeperhead on top of it.
buildings like this look crappy with other texturepacks. Thanks for making this pack, Glimmar.
If anyone wants to see this temple or the other noted buildings, go to minecraft.bitmissle.com and stargate to sparx.
