Does anyone know how to quote other posts from within a post yet?
I didn't have any problems signing in to the new forums and figuring I needed to make a Curse membership too. Perhaps I'm not as senile as I thought! At the same time I made a number of 'curse' curses too! :angry.gif:
Hunter, glad you got your name back, and your standing!
Well I started on the OP editing after I'd calmed down. I've had to strip out all the 'simg' codes around my scrnshots.com images before it would allow me to upload an edited OP. I'll have to upload those to ImageShack when I get a chance, but at least I can now begin the task of re-doing the 'typography' part. :unsure.gif:
Found out how to quote within a quote. First, select all the quotes that you want quoted with MultiQuote (they should be highlighted in green), then go to the bottom and click on the "Add Reply" button. Should let you quote multiple people.
Just experienced being thrown out of the forum and having to reset my Minecraft Forum password, except Curse seemed to remember my old password. I was thrown out whilst in the middle of editing the OP!!! Lots of changes down the drain...very frustrating. :dry.gif:
See, like this!… Oh, and sorry to hear about the lost work. Hopefully they'll iron out all the kinks soon. Don't loose hope. And remember, you always have the Steam-Craft forum to fall back on, if you don't think you can get the handle of this one.

Thanks, ksheep. :smile.gif:
I'll give the multiquote thing a go when I can. Still seems less flexible to me than the other way, where you scroll down for quotes from within the post you were composing. Still it just takes time to get used to these things.
At least there was an explanation for why I had to re-sinc my password, etc. on the home page. I should have waited to do anything major until things had been ironed out. Live and learn I suppose!
Then I see Notch is updating next week, so there will be panic stations all round. Only this time I can't rush things, as I've too much on at the moment. I'll update when I can though...same with the OP. I've started the armor, and now feel I understand how it works and what the limitations are for this theme, but real life has made it difficult to make much progress I'm afraid.
[edit] Nope. Still can't get this MultiQuote thing. I click the MultiQuote button and very briefly see it light up green, then it puts me straight into edit mode with only the option to 'add reply' or 'cancel', I can't see any way to select more than one quote from within the editor nor do I get a chance to highlight any more MultiQuote buttons from outside the editor! Perhaps I'm just tired and not seeing the obvious :dry.gif:

Do you have javascript disabled in some way? Like with an add blocker or something of that nature?
The Multiquote button is actually a link pretending to be a button so what you describe is what I'd expect if the javascript failed on it.

Do you have on the Rich Text Editor? That may be your problem.
After an extended hiatus from Minecraft (and the internet in general...yay for broadband again!) I have returned! Also, another edit to the default furnace.png. This one has better blending on the smelting meter and the fuel meter finally lines up perfectly. Just before I was on last I remember Glimmar asked me to edit something else...a chest maybe? I can't seem to find it in the current pack, but if it still needs to be done I'd be happy to help out.
EDIT: Also, there appears to be a transparent dot on the cactus.
EDITx2: I too voted yes on Doku's poll
Glimmar is a bit busy at the moment, trying to finish up the 32x pack. However, I do believe that someone else was working on converting it to 16x16. I'm wanting to say that that was one of Gestankfaust's projects, so try asking him.

I started this project but got stumped and sidetracked
:biggrin.gif:
Hope to get back to work again soon though.

Not to my knowledge. I temporarily disabled Windows pop-up blocker and that had no effect either. As far as I can see javascript is enabled and I've certainly not manually disabled it. Not that I'm familiar with that sort of thing.

Do you have on the Rich Text Editor? That may be your problem.
Still had to manually construct your quote Trigonous! Not sure what you mean by Rich Text Editor and this new forum layout.
Certainly nothing has changed at my end since the forums switched!
Anyways, have had enough struggling with the OP tonight. I'm off to bed. Zzzzzz
Yes there are separate quotations in your post, but how'd you do that Reaper? Looking at your post from within the editing box of my reply doesn't show me those quoted words you used ('hai' and 'hai 2'). What is it I need to click on to quote someone in my post?I did this, but only by manually putting in the code. Is there no longer a quick button associated with a person's comment that automatically wraps their comment up with a 'someone said:' heading as in the quote above?
Oddball, HeadHunter67 had the same problem (see his post above), but eventually managed to use his old password and name. Have you tried making an account with Curse.com? That worked for me.
Just experienced being thrown out of the forum and having to reset my Minecraft Forum password, except Curse seemed to remember my old password. I was thrown out whilst in the middle of editing the OP!!! Lots of changes down the drain...very frustrating. :dry.gif:

This seems to have not made it into 2.4, not sure if you noticed it the first time Glimmar :smile.gif:
Sorry Trigonous. I did see it and meant to reply and say thank you, but one thing and another got in the way. I had been hoping to start to introduce some new gui's of my own that are more consistent with each other, but many other things got in the way. Anyway, for the time being I will put your edited version in the next update. Just trying it out now in Minecraft for a bit of relaxation.
I still can't get this bloomin' MultiQuote button to work as it should. If I click it, it still instantly sends me directly into the text editor, so I don't get a chance to click on multiple posts! Aaargh! Have tried every setting in the Internet Explorer Options to no avail and can't see that anything to do with Java is disabled!
For the time being then, I'll have to reply on an individual basis, or the tedious manual way and paste your names in. Welcome to my Steampunk version of MultiQuote! :blink.gif:
im planning on building this using your texture pack and was wondering what you think.
theres just enough room in survival mode to make this if i edit alot of land out. i might make the inside of it to if i feel up to the task.
You'll need to make it on a grand scale if you intend on having an interior you can walk around. Are you editing material in or doing it the hard way? Whichever way, good luck and I'd very much like to see some pics if you pull it off.

If you've seen my latest work, the Ophelia, you'll notice it far exceeds the 64 block limit in normal minecraftian worlds. We used and heavily modified Skylands to build her and the freedom of being able to use a full 128 blocks of height is truly inspiring! I highly recommend you at least give it some thought...either use Skylands or MCEdit out a large area all the way to the void! YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED.

i dont need that much room, in fact i dont even need 100 block height.
heres the specs of the ship.
Length: 713.9' (217.6m)
Height: 321.2' (97.9m)
Beam: 406.8' (124m, not including cutters)
Hull Width: 221.1' (67.4m)
Full Load Displacement: Unknown
Powerplant: Lift Claudia Unit and Thrust Claudia Unit
Maximum Speed: 151.1kt
Maximum Armor: 356mm (on broadsides)
Armament:
1 x 32" (813mm) Quad-mount torpedo-style jet-propelled mine launch tube
1 x 32" (813mm) fixed, single-mount launch tube
6 x 11.8" (300mm) 25 cal guns
Crew Complement: 810 + 200 musketeers
Vanship Lift: 1
Equipped Aircraft: 1x jumbo shuttle vanship
so in fact i can build it without the use of height increasing mods. i just need to make some room XD
EDIT:
@Glimmar
feel free to include this into ur OP :smile.gif:
Thanks, o1ofco2. They look excellent and I will include in the OP with a link and credit in the next update. I hope you find the time to do the rest of the IC textures to tie in with Glimmar's Steampunk. I'd like to include these in my downloadable 'extras' pack, with full credit, if I may. :smile.gif:

I think I see your problem. IE tends to be really flaky when it comes to fancier scripting due to it's poor standards support. The newer versions are better about it though so I strongly suggest upgrading if it's older than 8. What version of IE do you have and how adverse are you to changing to a more standards compliant browser? (Chrome, Opera, Safari, FireFox)

It appears to work for me. What you do is press Multi Quote on each post you want. Then at the end, you scroll down and click "post".
