Actually, TVHead is my nemesis from an alternate dimension. Basically, he's just like me, but he wears women's clothing.
He comes from a world where men are women, women are men, and sheep are nervous.

I'll post some pics tonight(US Eastern) so you can tell me if the textures are default or not?

So yeah, i play on fast and i don't like the BetterGrass mod, BUT without that mod or without playing on 'Fancy' my grass looks...weird, the side of it is different from the top of it, is there any possible way that you have a terrain.png that doesn't use the grass mod?
And i don't have this 'extra' folder in my jarfile, do you need to download that seperately or something?
what do you mean exactly by weird? could you post a picture? and the terrain.png is exactly the same as the standard minecraft terrain.png no new slots or anything so its nothing to do with that dont worry.

It's because he used a grass biome texture (or something) which doesn't really work if you play on fast.
forgive me but i dont see anything "weird" it looks like the normal grass block, i loaded up my back up files (without grass mod) they look like that and the pictures on the main page look like that. and i run on fast as well since my computer goes derp when i try putting fancy on.

This has an amazing Steampunk feel. I love the mobs and the paintings, GREAT work.
Your forum Avatar/Icon thing is addicting to look at btw.
Thanks mate. There's lots still to do and many things folk have offered while I do my own versions, but one day it will be finished and I'll be able to call it complete! It is but a dream!

There are some things which is appropriate for us yanks to love that comes from Britian...Dr. Who, James Bond, Shakespeare, Glimmar's Texture Pack. However, our continued fascination with your royalty...is deeply distrubing! LOL
Haha! I can die a happy man now. To be lumped together with such famous architypes is deeply flattering.
Lol! Yeh! I find this fascination with British Royalty slightly disturbing too. I am on the one hand fascinated with history and all the pomp and ceremony, but at the same time can't quite understand how a few individuals in this day and age can still be considered as special simply by right of birth! Yet I sat watching the wedding event on TV like many others while my wife looked aghast at me! It's a weird world we live in. Did anybody else watch the wedding and look at the interior of Westminster Abbey through Minecraft eyes?

Speaking of cobble, I lived in Germany a few different times, but the last time I did a lot of biking and drove over countless miles of cobblestone roads...which Germany seems to like. And they were all generally very dark, almost like a midnight blue or very dark dark grey...
... I like the mossy cobble to be simply a moss covered version of the regular cobble...doesn't make sense in my mind to have the basic design of cobble and mossy cobble be different...but that's just me.
Seeing as your the first person to confirm that dark grey cobblestone does actually exist in abundance in Europe and especially in the UK (if you watched the Royal Wedding you'll have seen the Bride descending from her carriage at Buckingham Palace onto Glimmar's Cobble. Lol!) I will do a special mossy cobblestone sometime based on my standard cobble. Even though you don't use it!
A great number of back streets where I live have this same dark grey cobblestone still, many other streets were just simply covered over in 'tarmac' in the 1960's-70's. Most of London was cobbled in the stuff in Victorian times... hence my adherence to it for this theme. :smile.gif:
As regards the Wild Grass. Is it still necessary to separate off the grass and plant images into standalone file for use with Wild Grass mod and Modloader? I just do what every other texture pack creator does and include the textures on the terrain.png. It would be too time consuming to have to work on other files at update time for a mod, however, popular, hence why everyone supplies them this way. Everythings there that you need though, Pipehead. I could never figure how to get them to work on our buckit server either! :smile.gif:
@ TVHead: Have you been taking lessons from that Gestankfaust chap? Love the video and you know I love Pipeworld!

Wow! That's a relief, considering this is the first pic I've seen of my textures in game (I never get the chance to try out mods these days!). Many thanks for that, Sanodia! What does the other flora and daisy-like flowers look like? I'd love to see a pic sometime if you got the chance.
I was getting a bit worried when you said you loved and hated the pack!

I think the problem with the side of grass looking weird when not playing on fancy is a known problem now for Minecraft...nothing to do with texture packs or the MC Patcher, sorry Scaipy. :sad.gif:
As regards the 'extras' folder I did leave it out this update. It was getting too large and making the texture pack overly large to download. I mentioned in the OP under the changes in this update 2.3 that I'll upload a separate 'extras' pack for download...just as soon as I can. Won't be long. :smile.gif:
I hope the changes I made in Glimmar's Steampunk version 2.3 were ok and I'd be interested in your observation of the rain and whether or not it's upside down or the right way up for you. If it's the right way up the rains drops should appear slightly thicker at the bottom than the top as they streak past you. I've been suffering a drought in my world, ever since I edited the rain and glimpsed it for all of 2 minutes.
Had some rain with the new textures. Looks good. Here's a pic for proof.
Excellent! Thanks, mate. That's very reassuring and at least I was right then about the rain.png being read upside down by Minecraft. Unless you're being kind and swapped it back round. :smile.gif:
That's a nice gloomy looking castle wall there through the rain!
I've had my computer on all weekend and holiday monday here and it's not rained once, unless it waits until I leave the room and then has a quick trickle!

It would appear you're right about how it's read, since I didn't swap it around. As for the wall, it's actually the town wall for the town I'm working on. Got the wall half-finished, then decided to build that dome over it to keep the snow away. Decided to keep the wall anyway, so… yeah. Hoping to finish it up after exams (should be done by next week, wish me luck).
First, to get it out of the way, YES the side grass problem on fast is a known problem in MC. I think Kahr is looking into it, but it's caused by the biomes on fast graphics, not the pack makers or the patcher.
Now..on to rain. The next video I saw that nosey reporter TVHead doin had some rain in it. had your old particles, so the bubbles are still innit (nah nah). But I...er he didn't have the new rain from you yet, so he used my rain as a meager stand in
:biggrin.gif:
As to the wild grass...Pipe all but talked me into getting the wild grass mod goin yesterday. So when (or if :tongue.gif:) I get on and he's there, I'll test what he's talkin about.

"This may hurt a little, but it's something you'll get used to...."
In other news, Notch has stated that 1.6 has a release date of "Not soon", so you should have plenty of time to fiddle with what is currently available without worrying about new stuff getting in the way.
Also… THEY WILL BE IMPLEMENTING THE NETHER ON SMP!!! Guess that makes my Nether Nature Preserve on my SMP server kinda pointless…
Hey Glimmar really random question, and i dont know if its been asked before, but whats your avatar from? It looks like something from a ye olde folk tale. Just curious
How do I get Wildgrass mod to use the textures out of Glimmar's TP? I'm using the client mod, plus the server side Bukkit plugin and either the textures in Glim's is shitty(highly doubtful) or the textures I'm seeing are the default ones...very 16x16 looking and did I mention shitty? Any help would be appreciated and yes, I know this thread is about Glimmar's TP and not Wildgrass. ;-)
I had to use the modloader version and then make copies of Glimmar's WildGrass texture into the individual files that are in the modloader version.
