Gestankfaust, my apologies, I've not had chance to properly decide on animated lava yet, so I've not put it in this update by default. I will include it in the 'extras' folder when that's updated for folk to drop in themselves, but I'm conscious of the effort you put into it and don't want to offend, mate. :smile.gif:
Now I'm off to watch the second episode of the 'New Doctor Who' series!
You'll never offend me Glimm. You say and do too many nice things for folk around here. It does completely still look like yours though. Got to play on PW and made a video or two. Really looks better to have proper animations.

<3 The new update Glimmar. Only request is that the mossy cobblestone on the default terrain should be compatible with the cobblestone.
Why? They aren't the same....not even supposed to be. I actually use one of Glimm's old mossy cobbles (the one with more moss than just color). And Pipe and I use the more tan square lookin cobble.

I tried to edit the terrain.png file to make glass more clear, but it screwed up a whole bunch of other textures (Grass, ferns, etc), so I reverted it. How can I make it mostly transparent without messing with other things?

How's this?
Don't forget to rename it back to terrain.png

You have to use something like Paint.NET, Photoshop, or GIMP to prevent the white backgrounds.
Hello everyone! I really, really love this texture pack as I am a HUGE steampunk fan, I recently installed this mod here: viewtopic.php?f=1032&t=198188 I seem to have issues running this texture pack now, of the things that have changed are crafting benches being invisible in the top (I can see underground now) the compass being replaced by plane parts and the Netherrack textures being replaced by the default water textures, I have tried reinstalling the pack but to no avail. Is there any way I can fix this without removing my planes mod? Any help or suggestions would be appreciated! Sorry for all the trouble guys!
-Cheers!
Did you run the latest version of the HD texture patcher? Sounds like that kind of issue.

I was thinking maybe that the mod might have used it's own terrain.png in order to call upon special materials. But that mod doesn't look like it does so...

This pack makes me want to build iron structures, like the Effel Tower, big iron bridge or such :smile.gif:
I've seen alternates metal textures, but it's not matching the feel of Minecraft. I mean, I have to change stone blocks, and mining metal instead of stone... it's too weird. And making iron blocks cost a lot. Maybe a mod can offer new iron blocks. :smile.gif: Some transparency ones, with some structure like Effel Tower, Girders with bolts, and some plain blocks. But all these could be crafted with less than 9 ingots or some other way.
Did you ever think about making such mod ?
Nevertheless, wood planks texture looks a bit metalic :smile.gif: I'm using it to build a big minecart station.

ummm actually i have seen this problem repeatedly, its something to do with the planes mod, modloader and generally some other mod, for me it was the planes mod + ejhopkins wildgrass. i vaguely remember seeing something about a fix by changing some modloader property file? cant recall for sure but yea i said f it and got rid of the planes mod as i like wildgrass alot more lol.
on topic, Glimmar never before have i loved and hated someone so much. i love this texture pack, it is the only texture pack that i will ever use, nothing else makes minecraft look so epic. and i hate you because i am now so in love with this texture pack that if minecraft updates i refuse to play until i see a update from you XD. keep up the amazing work good sir, you make many many people happy.

Now I'm off to watch the second episode of the 'New Doctor Who' series!
OMG, my kid has reintroduced me to Dr. Who and with a fancy-schmancy DVR we've been recording most of the last 2 years and catching up...and the new season ROX! I remember watching the 70's Dr Who and then in the 80's reading Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy triology from Douglas Adams...very Dr. Who-esque and so sharing that fascination with my son is really cool!
My wife is even getting into it...and that is saying something!
There are some things which is appropriate for us yanks to love that comes from Britian...Dr. Who, James Bond, Shakespeare, Glimmar's Texture Pack. However, our continued fascination with your royalty...is deeply distrubing! LOL
Why? They aren't the same....not even supposed to be. I actually use one of Glimm's old mossy cobbles (the one with more moss than just color). And Pipe and I use the more tan square lookin cobble.
:tongue.gif:
Speaking of cobble, I lived in Germany a few different times, but the last time I did a lot of biking and drove over countless miles of cobblestone roads...which Germany seems to like. And they were all generally very dark, almost like a midnight blue or very dark dark grey.
But with all the other dark textures from Glimmar, I prefer to use his alternate, light tan version. It reminds me of the light colored river stones used in the US to build walls of old farm houses. Given that scenario, I like the mossy cobble to be simply a moss covered version of the regular cobble...doesn't make sense in my mind to have the basic design of cobble and mossy cobble be different...but that's just me.
NOW for a technical question...
How do I get Wildgrass mod to use the textures out of Glimmar's TP? I'm using the client mod, plus the server side Bukkit plugin and either the textures in Glim's is shitty(highly doubtful) or the textures I'm seeing are the default ones...very 16x16 looking and did I mention shitty? Any help would be appreciated and yes, I know this thread is about Glimmar's TP and not Wildgrass. ;-)
Damn straight it's cool...it's of PipeWorld so you leave TVHead alone or I'll call down the wrath of the Thunder Gods and strike you down with lightening!

Are you and TVHead secretly some two headed being trying to take over minecraft by making all sorts of nasty machines on your awesome server?
:tongue.gif:
Yes? I knew it... /paranoia
Actually, TVHead is my nemesis from an alternate dimension. Basically, he's just like me, but he wears women's clothing.
He comes from a world where men are women, women are men, and sheep are nervous.
