It goes to the Mojan screen, then goes black, then stops responding, then closes.
Only happened after I downloaded this, updating Java didn't work either.
Glimmar, I'll admit to being somewhat skeptical about the ferns, seeing as how I was loving the 3 blossom roses that I had recolored to blue that was occupying that particular spot in my texture file, but as it turns out, I might just keep the ferns. http://www.dropbox.com/gallery/9143175/ ... t?h=f6c63c
The combination contains just the right mix of dazzle and subtlety that I find combines into elegance.
The glass is quite a treat as well.
This is an excellent contribution to our texture choices.
Thanks for sharing.
Okay, first of all, wow. As others have said, definitely exceeded my expectations. I had been using a 16x16 pack (Painterly :biggrin.gif:), but knew I'd have to try this out as soon as you released it. I am not disappointed in the slightest.
The moment I saw those torches, back when I first found out about this pack, I knew I'd have to keep them. I don't think anyone could possibly love those torches as much as I do. I want them in plushie form, to sit beside my also-wanted Creeper plush [/end fangirl]
Screen shots of a few things I hadn't seen shots of yet (furnace and whatnot):
So as not to flood with images, the rest can be found here (my Photobucket), ending with my SMP bedroom (the remainders are with the Painterly pack).
However, screen shots honestly don't do this pack justice, so I suggest to any viewing -- download it for yourself to see if you really like it. Viewing something in 2D is not the same as venturing around in it 3D.
I do plan to play around with a few different textures (used all yours except for the lava, and the tools, art, etc. are Painterly), but on the whole will keep this pack as is. I'll probably change out the various cobblestone you created, and (if I'm ambitious enough) add some color variation to the bookcase (keeping the tones muted, of course). I also agree that the regular stone looks too sandy, but that's a simple enough fix, and I understand your reason for making it as such.
Also, I had read in one of the comments that someone (Arlo) wanted the sky to be a greyer color to complement the Steampunk setting. I suggest turning the fog settings up a bit higher if you haven't already. Gave it a "London" feel (I'm completely from the US and have never been to London, so forgive me if for some reason that was insulting, because it certainly wasn't meant to be :tongue.gif:)
There are not enough positive words I can say about this pack, for fear I'd sound repetitive and giggly, but I am truly impressed by what you've accomplished. Well done sir -- rest up, and may the Ghasts hurl Halloween candy gently into your pockets.

That's such an incredibly obvious thing to do and I can't believe I didn't think of doing it. Off to sock my world in with some fog.

By the bye-- ID, US myself too. Small world....
LOL I only thought of it because, since playing in SMP, my game (as well as my husband's) would freeze up. He found that many people experiencing freeze-ups just turned their fog setting to 1 or 2. So I've been running my normally fog-free game with +1 fog, and really digging the ambiance. And it totally helps with the feel of Steam punk :smile.gif:
I'm near Boise -- moved here from Arkansas a little over a year ago. I've really enjoyed it here -- small world indeed! :smile.gif:
I'm personally unable to get your fire to show. I've scoured the forums to see how to save it somewhere else (if that's what was needed) but nothing popped up. Am I missing something?
Again, both of these errors may (and probably do) stem from my personal bugs using the Patcher, and since everything will tweak out when the Halloween update goes live, I'm not too worried currently. But I did figure it would be good to post this so both Glimmar and others who might have similar issues could see.
Update: Just redownloaded the entire thing (after saving my Saves folder) and manually added the Cart and Sign textures, and they work properly now. I'm still unable to get the fire to show up as Glimmar's fire. It's the default... whatever it is/wherever it's saved.
So far, I've only got two complaints with this pack.
The first is with the various stones. None of them really fit together with each other. The smooth stone is very yellow, while the cobble is very blue. The steps are grey. They honestly don't go together and I think it would be nice to see some coherence between them.
The second is that sapling drops are incredibly hard to see against the grass, as they're very small and thin, and the greens blend in with each other.

1 DAY WITH THE TEXTUREPACK IS GOOD ENOUGH, THE AWESTRUCK :3
Can't wait to try this out. Thanks for making and releasing it!

The lava embers are the green flame.

Excuse me, Glimmar. This looks damn awesome.

Curse PremiumThat was my nerd squeal. I'm so excited to finally have this pack!
