I should mention, that the last views in the video are what the final version looks like. I CAN make them look like any of the other views from the video. It's all one file believe it or not. One file...three layers deep.

Has anyone figured what needed to be done to the side grass block in terrain.png to make the whole side grass with no dirt showing?
I got lucky...I did my side grass as a separate layer. So I just set it to gray scale and it works great. But that's all you do is mimic just the grass in gray scale

Just pop these file in the main directory of Glimmar's Steampunk. They will override the terrain.png's texture.
OMG...both of those lavas KICK ASS. Gestankfaust...you are the master of animiations! I'm putting these in right now!
Here are some
As Pipehead says, JOLLY GOOD! (English translation of 'KICK ASS') Lol! I've seen the movie, but haven't the time still to try them in game yet. Frustrating!
I can see you've put a lot of work in there mate, for which I am very grateful. I will, with your permission include these in the pack for those who want animated goodness. Perhaps one day I will get round to doing my own...and failing. :sad.gif:
Now on with rain and droplet particles and updating the OP...when I've time!

ummm could you go through that step by step or make a tutorial cause I want grass growing on the sides of my hills please
That's a cosy little room! Where'd that spider web come from? Lol!
Turns out...you can edit (with invedit) them into your single payer games. So now we can see what our spider webs (guess i should make a better one now :tongue.gif:) look like?
As to the lava Glimmar...that file you start with is all your work. Really...it's just moved down one pixel at a time then saved in a long file (short explanation of course). I'll send it to you and you can add the layers when you get the time. Would save you at least 60% of the time and you wouldn't have to worry about it not being all your work. (it's like saying I made dinner cause i rinsed a bowl for you)

If I get a chance, yes. Better yet, send me a PM with the link to what you want changed, and I'll look at it and better know ahead of time.

Spiderwebs can also be found with my mod.
I am unwilling to share any of my mods, but as a part of some info, they're found naturally, or made by string.

please can anyone help me i have this problem when i patch the texture pack i open the minevraft wand when i try to destroy a block it crashes :sad.gif:
Did you use the newest version of the MC Patcher? Older versions are buggy with this latest version of Mincraft, but the new Beta version works fine.
Hey everyone, heres a thread i posted in the Screenshots section showing my steampunk fortress
Once again proving how epic everything looks with this pack

That's an awesome build, mate, hence I had to show a pic of it. It has an Imperial Russian feel to it, so very appropriate for an alternate steampunk world. More impressive still that you made it all on 'normal' setting... a braver Minecraftian than I!

Lol! Now your being modest...when I know how much tinkering that's likely to have taken!
Things move so fast around here I hardly know where to start when it comes to sorting out the OP at the top and when it comes to uploading a new update.
Just to say, folks, I'm working on new rain and droplet particles as I'm sure most of you are getting tired of the soap bubble splatters on the ground when it rains. I'm also thinking of cutting out the blocky clouds altogether in the next update as the rain doesn't seem to come from them and the clouds that form when it does rain are far more atmospheric.
I've been a little distracted and busy on other things, but will soon be back in full swing, hopefully. I'm working on editing an old piece of pencil artwork for a title plate in the OP and wondering if I should put it up there in an unfinished state...then you can give me some input perhaps on what little things to include and also see a work in progress.
It's fairly rough still, but hopefully will help set the scene for this theme. Space at the top will have a full color title similar to the lettering in my sig. but even more brass pipe-like. Just like this pack, It's not meant to adhere strictly to what's in Minecraft, so the main figure is an imaginative rendition of a spiderlike human construct and there's lots more rivety steampunk detail to be included yet...see what you think:
WORK IN PROGRESS TITLE PLATE WORK IN PROGRESS TITLE PLATE
At least this person states that the textures are from us (yes...they loved me and you and John Smith this time)
:biggrin.gif:
But let me know how you feel about the lava(s) so I can tweak them accordingly. (I know you liked them, but maybe a little darker? Lighter? More effects?)
<---Still needs me coffee

This is exactly what I need, Thanks Glimmar. I also like that flying airship mod and the many pictures you posted. It will help me build Clockwork Town.
Hey, I've always loved this pack, just a little suggestion.
This update, Notch added something to the redstone. If you have tiles directly under the current redstone tiles, They will overlap the current redstone texture ingame, and they will not be tinted. So you can thrown the pipe textures below with the little red parts on top, and you have the old redstone pipes working again.

It's not hard to make.
Lookup Makemyitem.
I used my own code..
Hopefully soon I will release my own mod set.
