Glimmar, I have to say, I love this pack. It is probably the only one I haven't gotten tired of after a few minutes. That alone deserves congratulations. I am anticipating the powered rail update, like many others. (I have made my own powered rails to use as a placeholder for now)
ALSO: Oddbaal, if you select "force update" under options in the minecraft launcher, you get the achievements back.
*EDIT*
Here are the powered/sensor rails I'm using for now, if anyone feels the need to use them:
I'm getting frustrated with the railtracks 'cos I've so many varieties open in Gimp I can't decide whether to go 'coggy' or 'glowy' for powered track or 'pressure pad' or 'glowy' for the detector track. Too many possibilities! Gah! That's why I'm taking time out to post on here.
Just put them all in! :happy.gif:
Now that my mixer is actually up and running and stable it's pretty trivial to swap them out.
Let those creative gears spin freely, unbound by the restriction of just having one texture per tile! :wink.gif: Texture Mix Machine

Tis far better to be a witty fool than a foolish wit.
Patching the texture pack deletes all the achivements ... i had all of them
You might have opened it with the patcher... Open it manually and all your achievements should be there...

That's a pretty nifty tool ya got there. for you sir.
It's because Notch finally fixed the side-grass-not-biome-colored bug. I haven't poked around in the default terrain.png, but several things must have changed (including that, the rails, and the new saplings) so I'd double check the default just to make sure you have everything in the right place.
Best fix for this is to cut out the "weeping obsidian" texture as it's where the side grass texture is. If it's left blank, it should be ok. I'll test it now....

Yep, that's how you fix it, then replace it with the unsaturated side grass (only the grass).
Still beavering away here, folks. Thanks for keeping me company, but I've nearly finished up, so I can put you out of your misery...soonish...hopefully!
@ squeebly: Sorry there won't be any new armors by me in game, I just haven't had time to do that and make new rail track, achievements gui, 'slot' icons, saplings (which have been a pain to get right!), fixing grass and frozen sides of grass, tinkering with light levels and changing the tone of various blocks to match the brighter world. The armors you kind folk uploaded will be in the 'extras' folder along with some other new things, but I'd rather not try to rush the armor before I've had time to make a new little Victorian character chap/lady.
I was up 'till 5am last night, forcing myself to work on making the new railtrack connect properly to the current redstone wiring. As I mentioned previously, I'll have a look at restoring the pipes or some other arrangement after I've got this update out. I don't want to rush that when it's important to get you all up and running again, then I can get back to enjoying the rest of my holiday with the family before my wife kills me!
I don't know if anyone else has mentioned it, and I doubt it might have to do strictly with the texture pack of maybe it's the update, but after I put the pack in the folder and then proceeded to patch it and all that, I crashed every time I try to place anything down anywhere. Even if the map is an old one that's already all loaded and everything. Anyone got a suggestion?

NEVER use it as a texturepack .zip, make it so the Default pack gets overwritten by the new pack.

Except if you use the latest beta, in which case you have to use the .zip...just saying.
Yeah..I didn't get that answer either....but

Not sure as to why it would crash. But is it just Glimmar's pack? There was a problem with using mods that create items that aren't in it by default.

Glimmar, I have to say I can't quite enjoy Minecraft as much without your pack. It's amazing although there are some things that just stick out in my eyes but I can live with them! :biggrin.gif:
Anyways, take your time updating to be honest. At least I am in no hurry whatsoever, love the work you do.
IMPORTANT!: Please use xau's MC Patcher mod to fix Minecraft HD texture glitches. (fire on bricks, gold, pumpkins and water in the Nether, etc.). Be aware there is a new improved 'beta' version linked at the top of xau's thread that works better in my opinion (once installed you can swap any size texture pack around without having to re-install Minecraft or re-patch), but read the instructions for installation carefully: http://www.minecraftforum.net/viewtopic.php?f=25&t=46173
What's in Glimmar's Steampunk Version 2.2 ?
Well, I haven't got time to go into detail, but here are a few pics with headings that should give you a clue.
New Detector Track:
Booster Track powered
Booster Track unpowered and spinning
New Saplings
Grass Sides Fixed - Example 1
Grass Sides Fixed - Example 2
Custom Achievement Gui
Custom Achievement Gui In Game
Custom 'Slot' Stats and Achievements Graphics
New Statistics Graphics In Game Example 1
New Statistics Graphics In Game Example 2
Hope you like. :smile.gif: I'm not entirely happy with the booster tracks, as I thought the redstone wire connected in at the side like the Detector track, so sometime expect me to create some more alternates.
Don't know about you, but when I tried 'Advanced OpenGL' in Minecraft's Video Settings I had random graphical glitches, like open chunk errors and random crashes. Minecraft was stable when Advanced OpenGL was switched off, but I don't think the lighting was as nice. Would be interested in your experiences with that setting.
There are some new things in the 'extras' folder as promised and any recent offerings from you have been labelled with your name and included. Thank you for your generosity of time. :smile.gif:
I may separate off the 'extras' folder in the next update as it's getting rather large and have it as an optional download for those who like to customise their game.
Very cool Glimmar...very cool indeed. Downloading and building tonight. Will have screens of you much appreciated work soon!! (soon as I figure what to build...on my guilds SMP server )

Curse PremiumI am going to try for a release later tonight when all the kids are out of the way and I can properly test and think what goes where.
Just putting the finishing touches to the 'achievements' gui, etc.
See you later...hopefully! :smile.gif:

Curse PremiumThis version fixes the booster track (basically just swapping them round to the correct position):
Glimmars Steampunk Version 2.2 for Minecraft 1.5_01
Glimmar's Steampunk v2.2 on MediaFire
Glimmar's Steampunk v2.2 on RapidShare

Any solutions?
Its the HD patcher. Go to the thread and click at the top the "Hot" link thing. That one works, the other does not.
EDIT: Link for you. viewtopic.php?f=1021&t=252531
