When I tame the wolves they stay amber... Can anyone tell me why?
EDIT: apparently I am a master at being the first post on a new page, that's two in a row and around my fourth time in this forum.
HA ha! I reckon you're subliminally aware of the length of a forum page and feel compelled to comment as such.
I'm not sure what's happening with you're wolves, mate. I just did a quick check of the pack to make sure I hadn't done anything stupid like used the same skin for both states and they are definately different.
It's only the eyes, tail and boiler that change colour, not the rest of the wolf. Other than reinstalling the pack or re-downloading Minecraft I'm not sure what to advise. It's still working for me...although that doesn't sound helpful or sympathetic. :sad.gif:
I'd probably have a complete texture pack if it weren't for lava...stupid lava
:biggrin.gif:
I plan on playing a while and seeing the weather before I touch it.
That's what worries me about the water and lava animation. I think I'll wait until my pack is near complete before tackling that job! That'll be a long wait then! :tongue.gif:
As regards weather, I will wait too, I still don't plan on changing things much other than resolution if that's possible. Then it'll be oily rain for me and bloody rain for you! Lol! :biggrin.gif:
Seriously though, I love the way the light level drops during the rain storm. That coupled with the lightning will be a godsend for the atmosphere of your theme pack. :smile.gif:

Slime and wolves don't work for me,
I used MCPatcher and all, any ideas what's going on?
That's a strange one. No particular reason why they shouldn't show up and MC Patcher isn't needed for mobs. You can use higher res mobs even in unpatched 16x16 texture packs without problem.
If you've moved straight from one texture pack to another, you might have problems. Have you tried the safe way of reinstalling Minecraft, installing this pack and running MC Patcher? Solves many a problem having a fresh uncluttered Minecraft. :smile.gif:

This texture pack is beast. I must say that you've done a very good job. I'll give it a download sometime.
Thanks, mate. Hope you do! :smile.gif:

I'm ashamed to say i still use this texture pack even though ive almost finished my own. Don't take this the wrong way, it's not ment to be an insult. It's just kinda morally wrong, like prefering someone else instead of your own children.
Lol! That made me chuckle! Thanks, hatwhale. :biggrin.gif:

Last lava was much better, it was orange-ish. This one is just pink Anyhoo, this new update is really cool, improves everything in the pack ^^
It must be my monitor! The current lava looks a deeper orangy red on my machine rather than pink! I suppose this is a common problem of different machines and each of us may even see color differently than everyone else. That's a frightening thought! I may never get lava right. :sad.gif:
I've finished up the basics on the armor, still have yet to work on the icons. Made this one into Iron armor. And yes, it is a Redcoat uniform. I'm trying to see what I can do to Steampunk it a bit. I'm a little iffy on how the sleeve came out, wanna shrink that down a bit later.
Full uniform Front (Inventory)
Back (Wolf playing in the background)
And for an added bonus for this, Suspenders for your trousers! No need to have your uniform top on!
If anyone's interested in getting it for the current product, here ya go!
That there's some sweet improvement on the animation Gestankefaust! I feel another day of cobbling together all this awesome art coming on. Good thing I'm a sucker for punishment and mahogany!
It's been a while since I checked in over here, and I felt the need to once again say I'm floored by the effort put into this pack. I don't even bother checking into any other texture threads nowadays. It has shaped the entire style of every project I've started since I first installed it months back. Don't ever change folks!
As a quick example of what I mean, imagine these two screencaps in the default pack, and see how much the textures really make the difference! Again, long live Glimmar's Steampunk!

Save as iron_2
I love it! It has a kind of 'Around the World in 80 Days' feel to it, rolled up with Victorian Empire sort of bright alternative Steampunk and reminds me of the grandfather from 'Chitty Chitty Bang Bang' and Michael Cane in 'Zulu'. That will look really nice in an airship, or even as a server military uniform. I've already put it in the 'extras' folder of the next pack update, just say if you don't want it to be there.

im not trying to be a suckup but yoour pack made me think "i wanna do something like this" and inspired me. and making my texture pack is the first thing i have ever completed. and i mean ever.
cheers mate.
Thanks, mate, that's cool.
I got inspired in turn by seeing doku's graphics back in August of last year and thinking, wow, perhaps I can make Minecraft more to 'my' liking. Notch's best decision regarding Minecraft's popularity was making it easy to texture and mod. We can all make it what we want it to be and I'm glad in some small way to be a part of that. :smile.gif:

Lol! Your right, Heehee! It's come out almost the same shape as his head. Honestly though there's no connection, so i hope I don't get prosecuted!
Ha ha! I won't be able to look at it now without seeing that face! I'll have to do something different now.

That looks amazing!
I bet your proud of that, but I can sense your frustration with the number of edits though it's a cool way of showing the process of getting to the finished animation, which flows beautifully. I actually liked that flashing stage a lot... looks like in certain situations that could be quite atmospheric, particularly as a pulsing energy thing. It looked a bit unnatural in doku's lava, but in a theme pack like yours fits more with the idea of ethereal energies pulsing along, etc.
How many layers of movement do you have going on to achieve that ripple effect? Also, how many frames of individual movement to get a smooth cycling action? I can't wait to get my hands on an example!
Where's me present, mate?

The frustration IS the number of edits. I only showed the cooler looking ones off. You all but have to start over if it looks bad because most of the time, it's the original animation that makes it look bad. You'll notice that only the ones with my original Mythos lava texture worked out so far...
The layers can be as many as you want really. The final only has three really. (I flattened two together for one effect and used it later)
I'll try and give you a non-flattened example soon (your present ) if I can. Depending on how I can preserve all the layers and such.

You're also gonna be needing some icons, methinks.

You could always use one of the alternative lavas that were provided. I use the green lava texture.
