A doctor who texture pack, already completed. That's not to say you can't do your own though!
That's what I thought. Though I don't remember it being finished. :smile.gif:

Find an image hosting site like 'ImageShack', either register or don't register, upload your image there, cut and paste your uploaded image's URL and paste that into your post on the forums here and enclose it within the 'simg' commands. It should show up if you click 'Preview' and if you're happy click 'Submit'. Hope that helps. :smile.gif:

Hey, Glimmar, Just saw this on Jebs twitter, so just in case you didn't see it;
Heads-up to texture packers: Slot (15, 3) is now spruce sapling and slot (15, 4) is birch sapling (counting coords from 0)
Oooo! So we'll be able to plant other tree species too! Hopefully not too much work! I'm getting tired now. :smile.gif:

It happens to the best of us. :sad.gif: Glad it's fixed and your back though. Hopefully I'm upgrading my computer over Easter, so will be out of it for a different reason. I bet that's when Notch decides to update again...you watch!
Yep! Been watching it since the beginning almost, with frustration, as I've not had time to do anything for it. Once I've had a little break I might make my own rivetting version of a texture for it. As you say, like the airship it was made for Steampunk. :smile.gif:
That looks amazing, and not before time, but please don't let it be next week! I can only stand a max of one update per month.
I know, just getting things working on the new version. But his blog posts says...
Quote from Notch »
Once the stats are done and the weather has been tested through, we’ll release 1.5. I’m guessing this will be next week. The piston mod might get added, but it will not be in time for 1.5.

From Notch's blog it looks like they will be adding that mod to minecraft directly (see previous post.)
…Well, I was just gonna say what CuZnDragon said. So… yeah, another update in a week or so, adding weather and finishing the achievements. Hopefully it won't mess with too much stuff for you, Glim. Chances are, they'll add the new saplings then too, and the pistons will be in a later update, if I read that correctly.
@ CuznDragon: Wow! Everything is happening very fast in Notchland all of a sudden! That piston being included directly in the game is good from a texturing point of view, ie. less problems keeping up with individual mods! I'm tied up for most of Easter for the kids school hols, so won't be able to update over the next two weeks easily, hence why I've got my head down now to try and finish my pack for the beta 1.4. Lol! at this rate I might as well wait for 1.5.
99% sure I will be uploading Glimmar's Steampunk version 2.0 tomorrow evening UK time (with lots of new stuff!) in time for you all to play with it over the weekend. That's if anyone is still interested in my late offering.
@ ksheep: Haha! That's calmed me down a bit and that sounds a bit more reasonable. Phew! Can't take much more of this pressure. Lol!
Anyways, I'll use this as a lead in to my own new update tomorrow:
What's in Glimmar's Steampunk Version 2.0 ?
The all new 'Glimmarwolf', otherwise also known as the 'Steamwolf' (see pics on page 149). A hi-res texture to better show off all the gadgety goodness only a mechanical canine can possess...including extra springy springs in it's legs, hidden oil changing facility, more dramatic changes between wolf states (wild, tame and angry) and the special green Glimmar glowing boiler unit, plus when you tame the beast with bones and polish him up, he'll give you his shiny brass heart in return! ...Not only that, but you're getting an extra 'Baroque' Glimmar wolf too...same Hi-res graphics and located in the 'extras' folder with other alternative mobs.
Many new terrain tweaks including: new logs, bed (now strapless and less torture-like and thus more adaptable)), lava, railtrack, and better tiling stone and cobblestone (still basically the same textures that you've all grown to hate!), new 'cracking' animation when breaking a block (what do you call this process!) plus all the new textures associated with the Wild Grass mod (vine, baby flowering cactus, daisies, and three other flowers).
New items including not just one, but two cookies (or biscuits as we Victorians like to call them), rope(string), seeds, apple (a good English apple!), clockwork egg (they make better clockwork cakes and actually feel like missiles when thrown), extra gooey slime...and may be some more late additions tomorrow, if there's time. :smile.gif:
New 'trap' dispenser Gui.
New particle graphics for 1.4
New gui (clockwork brass hearts for 'life' and glowing green power valves for 'armour) and a suitable popping green bubble for my green polluted water. :smile.gif:
New 'mclogo' screen edited by The_Fool76. :smile.gif:
New 'improved' Biome colors for added natural realism. New for those who didn't take the opportunity to install the files I previously uploaded. If you don't notice a change from v1.9.1 you will need to drop the 'foliagecolor.png' and 'grasscolor.png' files (located in the 'misc' folder in Glimmar's Steampunk v2.0 zip file) directly into the 'misc' folder in the 'minecraft.jar' file in your 'bin' folder. You'll be glad you did! Biome colors not being recognised, is a Minecraft problem, not a texture pack problem!
In the 'Extras' folder you will find:
Alternative 'terrain.png' files for: 'SMP Netherplate production', 'Brighter terrain' (not so scary at night!) and variations edited by Gestankfaust and JonathanKent using my new alternative textures. I hope these inspire you to make your own edits to share back on this thread...the only legal way to use my alternate textures! :tongue.gif:
Over 400 alternative terrain textures for you to chop and change to your clockwork heart's desire. For personal use only or for re-uploading your steampunk themes to my thread!
Alternative boats (NEW!), minecarts, airships and paddlesteamer skins.
Alternative Biome Colors (including metallic biome colors from ksheep) including a special 'stone' biome triangle for Nandonalt's Stone Biome mod.
Alternative Airship skins for pchan3's amazing Steampunk Airship mod.
Alternative Mob and Steampunk Character skins (kindly updated again by Gestankfaust).
Plus some other little surprises! :smile.gif:
I'm sorry I didn't get chance to finish off the 'items' sheet, but felt if I waited any longer I'd run into the Easter hols and Notch's next update. Over the Easter school holidays I want to take a break and think about what to do with the armour and also just to do some more building to get my inspiration back. :smile.gif:
Hope there's something above to take your fancy. :smile.gif:
Night all.

Did you get my pm? I previously posted the same message in this thread, but it didn't show up for some reason, so I pm'd you.
I did, mate, but as you can see above, I'm snowed under with trying to get this update out, hence not being able to keep up with my PM's.
pchan3, the creator of the 'Steampunk AIrship' mod has already created a Steampunk website as you describe. I have space on there and I already can't keep up with that, much to my chagrin, so despite your very kind offer, I'm not looking to do anything else I'm afraid. Thanks again, Ryland. :smile.gif:
Don't be hard on yourself...I never really built anything at all really until after using this pack. Not that I've really built any "Steampunk" stuff (I can't can't help if I like monsters and weird stuff).
Yeah.
That being said, my utterly non steam-punk mansion thing looks amazing with this texture pack when compared with vanilla Minecraft.
we need a cool looking custom portal texture Glimmar :smile.gif:
HI BONE!!
After playing with GIMP all day trying to do lava (made several decent looking ones and even more that are bad looking), I'm feeling kinda let down by it all (not to make steam come outta yer ears Glimmar). Seems every "cool" thing I tried looked silly/fake in game.
It's harder than it seems...and has only paid off with "better than normal" animated lava for me. Same would go for the portal and water files since they are made about the same way.
@Glimmar - All of that update just about makes my last two days seem wasted
:biggrin.gif:
So looking forward to your update...and just playing for a couple of days to get PW back goin (not to mention my creativity goin again)

No problem :smile.gif: Just looking for ways to help you out. As soon as I get some money, I'll just make a donation.
Thanks again, RylandAlmanza. I don't actually ask for donations, so just a little mention of the pack on your travels would be more than thanks enough. :smile.gif:

Great work on the build, The13th. I always build stuff the hard way too...somehow it makes the materials seem more real for some reason!?
@ Bonehead and Gestankfaust: This is my worry, that I will waste an enormous amount of time I don't have, to get something that doesn't look much better than the stock animation, but it will be a good learning experience, I suppose. Well that's what I always tell my kids! :biggrin.gif:
I'm also not very quick on the uptake when it comes to following instructions and doing new things. :sad.gif:
Gestank...well I hope you like what's in the new update. The steamwolf acounts for the largest investment of time and the rest is an accumulation of little things, stuff that I'd already put up in the thread since the last update, little improvements and other generous offerings like your own excellent imput, but it might all be reduntant again if Notch did a surprise update today too!

USE THE ARMOR IN GERUDOKUS TEXTURE PACK
If you want the armor in GERUDOKU's texture pack, just put it in yourself.
Glimmar, I can't wait for this update >.>

Lol! Exactly. Thanks, Reaper. :smile.gif:
It's obvious the armour isn't finished and that's why I'd rather leave it blank until I start on something appropriate for this theme. Still, Vondell's crotchless jodpurs had good entertainment value recently, so don't knock it all.
@ ralamjosh: I appreciate your suggestion, though no need to shout!
That aside, this is a 'theme' pack, not a compilation pack, and Gerudoku's work, as much as I like the wonderful look of it, is more Medieval Fantasy based, as apposed to Future Victorian Industrial Steampunk, so as nice as his armour is, it wouldn't really fit, sorry! :smile.gif:
