I'd have gathered since your texture is so detailed and I haven't quite understood why Photoshop won't let me paint a single pixel. I'm trying Paint.net and have to try out Gimp. I want to make my own texture pack "for the lulz" but need to find the software that I feel most comfortable with. That was all beside the point. Thank you for the info.
Of course Photoshop will let you paint just one pixel at a time...use the pencil tool and zoom in fairly tight or use a 1 block brush...the pencil tool scales somewhat as you zoom out.
Well, finally got most everything reinstalled. Looks like most of the mods I've been using are now updated… just need the new and improved texture pack…
linking this to ya glimmar so you know that im using your terrain.png as place a holder while i work on my own textures and also so you can tell me if theres anything you like about it XD would love your input on it.
Here's my multi-tasking steam and clockwork driven Glimmar Wolf.
The three wolf states have very different graphical representations:
Wild Steamwolf...dull amber boiler, eyes, tail-light and level mechanical sliding eyebrows and generally dull brass body in need of a bit of spit and polish!
Angry Steamwolf...bright red boiler, eyes, tail-light and angry mechanical sliding eyebrows and snarling mouth.
Tame SteamWolf ...bright green boiler, eyes, tail-light and friendly mechanical sliding eyebrows with a slight smile to mouth. Generally nicely maintained polished brass metalwork...like you really care for a steampunk's best friend! :smile.gif:
When I upload the pack (when it's finished) I will include an alternative 'Baroque Steamwolf' in the 'extras' folder, which you may prefer. My apologies to all who were hoping for a more naturalistic wolf. Some time in the future I may do some more designs, but probably more mechanical variations than natural. There are many others on these forums doing some lovely dog/wolf designs and I'm unlikely to add anything new to those, other than something a little more...Victorian?
Hope you like. :smile.gif:
Tame Steam Wolf sitting. Wild Steam Wolf standing. Notice eyebrow position indicating submission on tame wolf.
Tame Steam Wolf sitting. Wild Steam Wolf standing, showing 'gimbled' tail. The tail rises and falls and wags on the ball joint!
Two tame wolves.
Glimmarwolves come with extra springiness due to the extra springy springs in their legs! :biggrin.gif:
Well...Back to work, both real world and Glimmar's Steampunk update. Going as fast as I can folks, but thanks for your patience. :smile.gif:
does this work on 1.4 yet? i tried it the other day and some things arent rendoring right
This has still to be updated to 1.4. However, you shouldn't have problems with the game rendering anything properly...if you've correctly applied xua's MC patcher...instructions on first page of this thread.
At the moment the only things missing are an updated wolf skin (just finished...see above), some particle graphics, which you won't really notice as anything too significant at the moment (a drip and a drop) and a biscuit.
As my time is so short, I'm not doing any temporary fixes at the moment, instead I've decided to just plough on with a proper update this time. :smile.gif:
I also love how the little gadget under their tail seems to suggest... well, you know. XD
Wayuki, I'm shocked! You shouldn't be looking there!
Glad you liked the extra springy springs. Decison on a frustrated whim, trying to look at a wolf without it bouncing. I wish Notch would include an option to switch off bouncy animals...kind of defeats the purpose behind trying to make anything look sinister or serious when it suddenly starts bunny hopping!

I see what you did there...
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
Aint no grave gonna hold my body down, when I here those trumpets sound I'm gonna rise right outta the ground, aint no grave, gonna hold my body down...
awesome texture glimm now I'm kind expecting a steampunk megaman to come out and join his dog. Is there a way to make the wolf and any other animal bigger?
I'm new to Minecraft and have been using this wonderful Steampunk texture for about a week. I noticed the kz.png for Extreme Paintings here *changed recently* with lots more stuff. I've been using the older one successfully, so I've tried to put the new one in my game but it isn't working correctly. There are pictures that aren't showing up in my game. By experimentally overlaying Glimmar's new kz.png over the original Extreme Paintings kz.png, I see that any of Glimmar's pictures that conflict in size with the original and are not put on a blank colored space are not showing up. Pictures of Glimmar's which are on a plain colored space on the original kz.png show up fine, but if there is another painting (mostly in other sizes) underneath in my overlay, then they are not in the game. I've put the new .class files into the game for Extreme Paintings... what am I missing? Anyone else have this problem?

Retired StaffNot so sure about it. Was tryin for the "dire wolf" look. Can never seem to get where the different sides of mobs are. Need to do more research

Retired Staffpng is bigger, but the dogs stay the same size in game far as I know. Bigger png just means more detailed

Curse PremiumIt's just too bad the dog model is entirely the wrong shape to do a proper K-9 tribute skin for it.
Someones been reading my mind. :smile.gif:
Hmmm, actually a Doctor Who texture pack would be epic.
