Haha! Well I don't know what you two are thinking of! I was thinking in terms of perhaps making a female as well as a male character for the armour and a nice red head might be just right for Steampunk, or the girl in the 'Sucker Punch' movie.
I'm trying not to be chauvinistic here, but probably failing miserably having this conversation! Lol!
See...now I get what you meant. (I sorta already did) When you said "character" it threw me off a bit (skin could = character...or not). Either way, I totally agree she would be an excellent example to use for a new skin

If I can do it justice! :smile.gif:
How do you get your sig. so full to the brim like that? Every which way I try, I cannot get more than I already have on.

HA! Wow D95....you are the lucky one.
But yeah, they would never ask for your info like that. They'd just say contact them through the normal links to get it resolved.
yes, but i was new and i did not know about scammers.
Apart from the grammer, that scam is convincing in the sense that it's one of those classic 'play on your fears' tactics, where the first reaction is to try and prove you haven't done anything wrong, and there are lots of young minecraftians out there. You sound more sensible than most, mate. :smile.gif:

It's all one long string. No spaces in between. All separate images and links for them.
:biggrin.gif:
Edit:
(if it helps...the first sig was based off of the size from yours, 320pixels. The rest are all 84x84. I think it's the max you can do before it goes to the next line)

I'm sure I've tried that...without success...? Methinks you must be applying Cthulhu magic!
Hiya, PipeHead. :smile.gif: Hows things in PipeWorld? Haven't seen any pics for a while. :sad.gif:
...
Hope all is well with you and yours.:smile.gif:
Pipeworld is ok...been struggling with some backend issues related to both Bukkit and plugins for Bukkit. I want to go mulit-world and then using BiomeTerrainMod for SMP, offer up some alternate specially created worlds for those who want variety, but darn it all...it's not going as planned!
Then I wanted to move to using McMyAdmin...awesome program used to administer an SMP server with a web-interface and all, but again, it messed with so much stuff, I spent hours reverting back.
Needless to say, I've been angry with the whole situation and have been avoiding Minecraft altogether. Then there is the fact that the NHL is winding down it's season and that can only mean one thing....PLAYOFF HOCKEY!
That in turn has left me tragically uninspired, but thoroughly entertained
I will come around and get back to it. As Gestankfaust said, there is more than enough stuff to keep him busy making videos while I sort through my uninspriation LOL.
I would love to see your alt-textures, even if you just slapped them up here with not much fanfare.
Nothing worse than have things mess up and then having to waste hours backtracking! Hope to see your inspiration come alive again, Pipehead. Can't keep a good man down for long and a creative sort has gotta create, but only when the muse calls!
Must admit, I've been finding it hard to be inspired at the moment too, so in sympathy with you, mate. :smile.gif:
I look forward to seeing what pops up from PipeWorld, via Gestankfaust.
Alternate textures very nearly ready to upload. Just trying to remember all the little demands folk have put in over the past couple of months. I'm afraid I won't be able to cover everything, but there should be plenty to play around with and I'll keep adding new metals, doors, plants, lamps and the like over the coming weeks!
So… if you're still up for suggestions for alternate textures (sorry if I'm catching you right after you finished them) I saw a rather neat looking brick wall in a church the other day (I was on choir tour for the past few days). I thought that it would make a neat alternate for brick, if you could make it. At the moment, all I've got is a fairly low-rez pic from my phone, but a friend took a picture with his camera, and I'll try to post it when I get it.
Just noticed that ejhopkins has released version 10 of Wildgrass adding in some new things like vines, biome specific flowers and stuff. I know its more stuff for you to do but some matching textures for the new vines and stuff would be great when you get the chance.
I've only just started using your pack btw, never been big on the whole steampunk thing just mildly fascinated due to the way your pack takes often unused blocks and makes them useful for construction and decoration. Its really allowed me to be more creative. I was a JohnSmith fan, still am but its great to have a change so nice work on the pack especially in the often overlooked biome colour department both default and through the great BiomeWater, Rock and soon to be Pine & Birch Leaves mods.

I shall take a quick look over there and see what's what...sounds very interesting!
Thanks also for the compliment. I'm a John Smith fan too! :smile.gif:

I did a quick fix for the new update of wildgrass if any of you want.
Thanks, Tigii. I'll check myself in time, but has EJHopkins moved everything back to the terrain.png file? It's funny, because I'd just moved on to making a few alternative plants to add to all the very soon to be released alternative textures. I will try to fit in some vines and flowers etc. However, what I really need to do is edit my grass for more variety.
Does EJHopkin's biome specific flowers effect what work you and aTempesT are doing?

Haha! I have done some more brick textures of different colours, but I tend to shy away from brick and cobble textures that are rich in varied colours or they tend to create those annoying patterns we see from a distance in large builds. The higher res packs tend to have it a bit better here, because they can squeeze more courses of bricks in per block, but even there you begin to see repetitions of patterns, etc. So for mass 'brick' blocks, I keep it simple and try not to vary the colour from brick to brick.
The brick texture I have at the moment came from a photograph I took of a few bricks in the walls of our cellar here and were as varied as those depicted in your pic. However, bit by bit I had to whittle out repitition and ended up with what we've been using. Makes me chuckle though that a few bricks from my cellar are now being cloned all over the Steampunk Minecraft world as epic castles and towers etc.
Very unrealistic suggestion here, but I wonder if someone will create a Minecraft type game that instead of blocks has individual 'bit's of building materials, such as a single brick, single plank, single rock, but with a set variety for each and perhaps with a kind of limited random shade and colour added to each building element. Totally inpractical, but it would take all the hardwork out of looking for aweful tiling problems, but need a super computer to run! Lol!
Ok guys I may run with the wolves here, but at least I finally got the High Res Font from Misa's pack working and I modified the readability of the signs abit (Glimmars readability is underpar ^^ haha), if you have not already check out:
[see pic above]
Looking nice, mate!
Like many things to do with this pack, signs probably need a bit of a spruce up! Remember my multi-tasking philosophy though...signs make a wonderful extra panel on the side of timber constructions, especially large wooden sailing ships! So I won't be editing them to deviate much from having a central timber board. :smile.gif:

Feel free to cut and paste and use in your own compilations, but please abide by the Minecraft Forum rules and the Creative Commons licence and give credit and a link to my thread... 'Glimmar's Steampunk'.
If you use any of these textures in your own pack, it is not an excuse to say, "I don't know where I got these textures from" ...you DO know where you got them from! If you pass any of these textures on, it's your responsibility to identify where they came from before re-uploading them to this or any other public forum. :smile.gif:
This is easier to see full-screen and on higher res (my camera sucks at picking up light) but it is a belt driven machine shop on the museum-boat I work on - the machines are from 1890, and the motor ran on a 80 Volt DC circuit. Though it's not steam powered, I think you Steampunk guys would find it interesting, as it is belt driven and old-school :wink.gif:
I do have a steam hoist that I want to video on the ship too, that thing is loud and violent!

It affects us in a good way really because if we look into his coding we can see how he makes biome specific spawning.
It's used in the wildgrass mod. It's like a flower just on water.
