Absolutely splendid, thank you very much.
As soon as I installed it, I went onto one of my more used saves and built a whole rail system to compliment it.
It turned out looking better than I could have imagined, and again I thank you.
Right, I forgot to thank for the personal cart earlier. Thanks man!
Have these pigs and diamonds to make tasty hamburgers and decorate your dreams lulz

Really like the look of that black balloon! Your work is always high quality Glim!
Thanks, guys. It's nice to do new things when I get such great comments, You're a great bunch of Minecraftians.
Check out this vid by pchan3 of his latest airship mod work. Soon there will be Pirates on the horizon!
When pchan has finished his next awesome update, you'll get a chance to see my Pirate Airship skin up close, although you might not want to!
hey glimmar if your still able to make custom minecarts i would love one, white with the lettering and stuff being gold, and have the letters either be bone or ixi as my minecraft name is ixiboneheadixi, and i hate my computer, minecraft has been lagging for a week and i cant build anything :sad.gif:
fixed it i spent 10 mins colouring it in all white and it works now thanks ps looks awesome
It really shouldn't have been necessary for you to do any conversion yourself, but if you've got it working to your satisfaction...great stuff! :smile.gif:

arg, has anyone got a link to the punch-a-picture mod? i cant find it :sad.gif:
ofcause, i am assuming there is a up to date version of it :s
There is, both links are in the OP on page one following on from my Xtreme Paintings pic:
You'll need to wend your way through those threads to find the latest version. I've got both of them working fine, so unless Notch has done any secret updates in the night that I'm unaware of, you should be good to go. :smile.gif:
SO EPIC O_O i give you all mah diamonds + anyway in the pictures where did you get the map i need it allot
That's my personal world and kind of precious, because it's the only world I've ever worked on since June of 2010. It's not finished yet and kind of a retreat for me from the pressures of texturing. One day I may release it, but not yet. Sorry.
I should qualify the above by saying, "new biome 'colours' coming soon", as I'm only changing the colours of the grass and foliage, not introducing some new biome 'types'!
Lol! It's amazing how much tinkering these little biome triangles need, especially trying them out in the landscape. Spent most of yesterday and today testing them out, but getting carried away (literally) by the airship...just exploring. Then finding awesome mines I wanted to explore and buildings I wanted to have a go at, forgetting why I was supposed to be in Minecraft!
I'd had the idea of trying to include 'paths' in the landscape...like worn animal tracks, but my attempts failed miserably. Will have another go sometime. My current 'extreme' biomes are probably still preferable when using the 'WildGrass' mod as they provide areas that look like clumps or swathes of different grass and plant types.
You might be more interested in some of my new 'alternative' textures as I've just been having a few enjoyable sessions trying out this and that. When I've got enough I'll put those up too. Some surprises in store!

This sounds excellent! I don't believe the animal track thing has ever been done before, I'd love to see you pull it off. Don't give up on it!
Excited for the next release, mate. Keep up the good work.

Thanks, Ioncat. :smile.gif: Nice encouragement. It may not be possible to do, but it's worth having a go. I imagine someone's already suggested something like this to Notch, but if not!
I had suggested it in the WildGrass thread. Allowing animals to wear down the grass as they passed over, but it may not have been possible to implement it.
Looking around at some mods, looks like someone updated it to 1.3_1 and incorporated it into their own mod, which also fixes the issue of the color of the side of grass not matching the biome color. Thread is here: viewtopic.php?f=1032&t=183921
You need to update the terrain.png sheet for it to work (need to make the grass part of the dirt-side with grass transparent). Here's an updated version of the sheet:
Enjoy!
Wonder if the modloader grass fix can be expanded to run all the way down the sides of the grass the way Better Grass did? Not good enough at image editing to be able to test it.

You could always make one or two of the wildgrass textures in the terrain.png look, uh, parted or bothered. Like some sort of animal was sifting through it. Not sure if I'm properly wording that, but I think you know what I mean. Maybe the longest two grass textures? Just food for thought.

Not had a chance to try ksheep's edited terrain.png yet or the associated mod, so not sure. Just a little busy with the biome colours and making a new airship boat skin at teh mo' that might be interesting! :smile.gif:

I know what you mean, mate, but all that would happen then, is that there would be large areas that would just look flattened, not path like, as all the grass grows to max, then stays there unless cut down. What I was after was something that meant everytime an animal or player walked over a WildGrass square, it would drop a growth level. Therefore, mobs would vary its height randomly and a player's most oft walked paths would look worn. You'd also be able to track animals, or at least have a vague idea of activity in an area. I made a few suggestions like that, early on in the WildGrass thread, but they must have been impossible to implement, sadly. :sad.gif:
I've come to the conclusion, for the moment, that it's impossible to create any sort of paths using the 'grasscolor.png' biome file, it just doesn't lend itself to anything specific like that. All that happens when you place any line on the biome triangle is that it gets randomised on the Minecraft terrain ending up looking like morse code!
Won't have time tonight, but I hope to upload the new biome colours and the new airship boat skin tomorrow.

I don't want to use pics of texture packs commercially without permission from the guy who made the textures. Screenshots of the vanilla game is easier to motivate.
But if you (or anyone else) made a texture pack and are fine with me using it, post a pic, then let me know that using that screenshot is fine. =)
Jesus... I take a spring break and look at what I miss! Personal minecarts, airships, and Glimmar working his fingers to the bone! We all appreciate the huge amounts of work you do for all us squabbling forumers, Glimm.
Wouldn't mind a cart of my own though...
