I'll be damned, i re-installed the pack and re-patched and it works brilliantly! Thank you!.
It's strange though, i tried this earlier but had no success.
Have this as a token of my gratitude.
That's great, mate! :biggrin.gif: Just glad you got it sorted.
I think sometimes the patcher gets a bit fuddled and if you just switch packs...without re-installing Minecraft, putting the new pack in, re-patching, in that order...then things like water, the compass, etc. juust don't get patched! I get paranoid though, as I immediately think, "what if everybody's water is solid?"

Hmm, in regards to the water being transparent. Is ice also opaque?
I wonder if your graphics card just doesn't like partial transparency on textures.
and no, ice was normal.
That was one of the things I tested along with water with 'fancy' graphics switched off, just to see if all textures with transparency become solid with this option off. They were all still transparent! :smile.gif:

Hey glimmar, are you still making the custom minecarts, is mine done, and if so, can you repost it? I don't mean to rush I just want to check.
I posted it on Monday along with Tiger4Ruler's, it's near the bottom of page 125 on my thread. I'm certain I PM'd you, but in the rush there's a possibility I could have got out of sinc with my notifications, in which case you have my apologies.
Hope you like, mate. :smile.gif:
You can check I did post it on pg.125, but here it is again anyway:
Rename your minecart skin to 'cart' and drop it in the 'item' folder in 'Glimmar's Steampunk' texture pack in your Minecraft texture packs folder (or your texture pack of choice). Make sure you put it in your active texture pack and not the 'minecraft.jar', otherwise everytime you run Minecraft it will get over-ridden by the cart skin in whichever texture pack you're using...meaning you won't see any change.
The icons are colour coordinated with the minecart of your choice, but you don't need to use them to get the cart to work. However, if you want everything to match perfectly, you need to paste these co-ordinated icons over the top of the existing cart icons on the 'items.png' sheet in the 'gui' folder. Use a graphics programme that can handle transparency, like Photoshop, Gimp or Paint.net.
I hope I've got close to what you wanted. Have fun! :smile.gif:
Thanks again Glimmar! The Cthulhu one looks awesome also, but when invoking the great old one, I prefer to chant "Iä! Iä! Cthulhu fhtagn", call me old fashion.
My pleasure, mate. It's only a little thing, but considering it's uses and mass production, it's looks can go a long way to enhancing the atmosphere of the game, as with the airship. It looks pretty cool against that dramatic backdrop of a world you've got there and the GLSL shader stuff! Thanks for the pic of it! :smile.gif:
How'd you get the dark stormy clouds in there?
Speaking of things that look good, I've just been casting my eye over Risugami's 'shelf' mod, having seen my son use it. It gives the ability to have all your items on display (instead of hidden away in chests) and even in 16x16 looks quite something to have your walls lined with precious resources or rows of jars and tools. Only works with modloader v5 and I've not had chance to test whether my favourite mods and the airship work with that version.
Anyway, glad you liked the cart. :smile.gif:
Hmmm I'll have to try out the shelf mod. :smile.gif:
For the clouds, I just took the light gray wool, and changed the texture color to solid light gray, then MCedited a base cloud shape, then rotated it and copied, then rotated and copied that.. and so on and so forth until my world was covered. I needed a shadow over Innsmouth.
Here's my crappy build.
I'm slowly building a city on a floating islands map and so far I've got 2 buildings done.
It's not at amazing as most of the other builds I've been seeing so far. o3o

I keep seeing those diagonal half blocks. Could you give me a link to where you got the mod?

Well...I'd love to continue to "tinker"...but my mouse no more. And the new one I could afford SUCKS!(can't do anything that requires precise movement. It lags and then skips, the buttons take too much pressure to use causing you to move the mouse...it's a mess)
:biggrin.gif:
Going to return it today I hope...but I'm itching to change a few pixels darnit!

The airship mod (according to my fourteen yr old) does work with modloader 5. Yet to try it with Punch-a-Pic and Xtreme Paintings. My son mostly uses the excellent RomeCraft texture (traitor in my midst! Lol!) and the shelves look awesome. Everyone likes to display their treasure and as someone said on the mod thread, this is one of the mods that makes you think, "Why wasn't this in from the beginning?" A good Victorian Steampunk will be in seventh heaven being able to clutterify their abode. Makes for a good market stall too, and a new type of wood building block!
You did a great job with the those clouds, mate. Perfect for Innsmouth and perfectly like the title of the story! :biggrin.gif:

Aw, not good, mate. Sorry about your mouse trouble. :sad.gif:
I'm the other way round, my mouse is fine, but I've been gripping my tablet pen and left mouse button so much this past couple of weeks, I think I've got a slight case of the carpal tunnel syndrome...wrist is aching after a while and left mouse button finger going numb! :sad.gif:
Your mouse and my hand needed a good rest long since!
Looking around at some mods, looks like someone updated it to 1.3_1 and incorporated it into their own mod, which also fixes the issue of the color of the side of grass not matching the biome color. Thread is here: viewtopic.php?f=1032&t=183921
You need to update the terrain.png sheet for it to work (need to make the grass part of the dirt-side with grass transparent). Here's an updated version of the sheet:
Seriously though folks...take my wife...PLEASE! (old joke...srsly)
I am now the proud owner of this....

Yeah...uh huh. Living in the sticks and only having Walmart FTW!!
Looks better than what I have to work with. I'm right there with you about only having a WalMart to go to. Mine's a cheap Logitech which has a sticky right click and scroll wheel. I should probably replace it soon.
Normal 'amber' and Glimmar's Steampunk 'green' glowing furnace versions. Not only armed with front and rear cannons, but now with added sand bags! If pchan3 adds a 'bombing' function then the sandbags can easily be replaced with appropriate 'hardware'. :smile.gif:
Rename to 'airship' then follow pchan's instructions for installation.
If you have any suggestions for colour combinations or themes, I can't promise I'll make them, but if I really like the idea I may have a go! :biggrin.gif:
After installing pchan3's Steampunk Airship Mod rename this .png file to 'balloon' then follow the mod instructions for installation.
Your Personalised Steampunk Minecarts Here are two more completed minecarts (with appropriately coloured icons). These complete all recent orders. No more orders taken until I start a new round.

when i was installing the more pictures mod (which works) for some odd reason all the back grounds are black how to i make this see-though thx
Did you look at my 'Xtreme Paintings' kz.png file in Windows 'paint'? It seems somehow you've lost the transparent layer to the file and the usual way this happens is when it is viewed and then saved in a programme that doesn't support 'alpha' or transparency levels. Unless there's something else going on. Did you use the most up-to-date mod by woot (for 1.3_1)?
I don't know what other mods your using, but it's a possibility that something could be conflicting if they use the same 'class' file.
This is the most recent pic of my Xtreme paintings in use, taken just this morning, and the textures on the hanger gates and the clock above are all examples of the paintings in use:
I only have, modloader 1.4, More Paintings (Xtreme version), Punch-a-Pic, Airship and Paddlesteamer mods installed.
Did you use my Xtreme Paintings file found in the 'extras' folder in my texture pack? Or did you source it from somewhere else? If you downloaded from the OP in my thread there's always the possibility, however slim, that it may have lost it's transparency. I've just checked and copying and pasting from there worked fine!
Like with most other problems with Minecraft, starting afresh, however inconvenient, with a clean install of Minecraft, installing texture pack, patching, add the Xtreme Painting kz.png file then installing the appropriate mods should fix things.
