Gestankfaust is currently working on a modified version of this (and a bit of things from other stuff) that's 16x16. Look a little higher up on this page.
I like this pack, but the armor is lacking. Just a suggestion, I don't know if it has been made already, but the armor in Jolies pack would pretty much complete this pack.

Glimmar is planing on getting around the the armor eventually, but he's busy with finishing up the items sheet and updating the biome colors, along with some other side projects.
Well crap, my laptop's charger breaks, and I miss an awesome mine-cart give away. Well, I'll have to remain more vigilant, so I won't miss the next event.
Thanks again Glimmar! The Cthulhu one looks awesome also, but when invoking the great old one, I prefer to chant "Iä! Iä! Cthulhu fhtagn", call me old fashion.

My pleasure, mate. It's only a little thing, but considering it's uses and mass production, it's looks can go a long way to enhancing the atmosphere of the game, as with the airship. It looks pretty cool against that dramatic backdrop of a world you've got there and the GLSL shader stuff! Thanks for the pic of it! :smile.gif:
How'd you get the dark stormy clouds in there?
Speaking of things that look good, I've just been casting my eye over Risugami's 'shelf' mod, having seen my son use it. It gives the ability to have all your items on display (instead of hidden away in chests) and even in 16x16 looks quite something to have your walls lined with precious resources or rows of jars and tools. Only works with modloader v5 and I've not had chance to test whether my favourite mods and the airship work with that version.

The armour is lacking because it hasn't been done, mate. :biggrin.gif:
Thanks for the suggestion regarding Jolie's armour, but it wouldn't really be appropriate to use a fun style of armour for a steampunk themed texture pack, now would it? As much as I like Jolie's stuff, let alone the fact that his pack is 16x16, our styles are completely different, his being fun and mine being dark and industrial. I wouldn't expect someone to post in his thread that he should use some of my stuff because he's yet to finish something.
My focus has, and always will be, trained on making a pack that is good for epic scale building, not adventuring. Armour unfortunately for some, is not high on my list of priorities. If you like armour for adventuring/survival, you'd be better off with a different pack.
I appreciate your compliment, mate, but can't agree with you about the armour suggestion. :smile.gif:
Release the 'traveller' spirit inside you and take to the air in a ragtag patchwork airship. Visit a carnival and make a show of it. Heck, this is Minecraft...'build' a carnival! :biggrin.gif:
After installing pchan3's Steampunk Airship Mod rename this .png file to 'balloon' then follow pchan3's instructions for installation.
More balloon theme and colour variations to follow. Other designs in the thread above, in my OP (click my sig below) or here: Pchan3's Steampunk Styled Airship
Wow, this looks fantastic! Especially the grass, I really wouldn't have expected that to look as good as it does in 16x16. I've been having some trouble with 32 bit tex packs recently, so this'll be like a gift from the gods.
Many props to you :biggrin.gif:
Thank you! Though the "props" should go to Glimm fist and foremost. I'm just "adjusting" his fine artwork to fit a smaller space
I would encorage you folks to give that whole site a look-see for all that is MC/Steampunk. From Glimmar's textures, pchan3's mods, to seiseki's "wastes" project. Fine site IMHO.

'Punch-a-Pic' makes life easier by allowing you to punch a picture (without a tool in your hand) and it instantly changes to the next in line. Hold shift/crouch and it reverses the selection. Impossibly difficult to use the 'Xtreme- More Paintings' mod without 'Punch-a-Pic'. Remove a picture by using a tool. :smile.gif:
I believe it's just that way, though I'm not sure. If it is a problem, it's one I've always had. There's a mod called crystal clear water or something like that sort

I think hatwhale's problem is that the water is totally opaque or solid by the looks, ssaint, which it shouldn't be! My water is fairly transparent, allowing you to see the bottom through about 10 blocks of water. This is as good an example as any from my OP:
Showing how transparent the water should be.
I'm not sure what's going on, unless you've been editing the terrain.png with paint, but that sounds unlikely, especially as you say you've downloaded it afresh. I have to assume something else is going on here. Even if you haven't patched correctly it should still be transparent. Sorry I haven't got an immediate answer. :sad.gif:
You say you've tried re-installing the pack. Have you re-installed Minecraft? If something has gone wrong at some stage, either with patching or switching between different texture packs, it's always wise to completely start from scratch. Make sure to backup your save files before re-installing Minecraft, etc. Just to be on the safe side. :smile.gif:

Ssaint, if you want the water to be clearer, open up my texture pack, open the 'misc' folder and drag out the 'water.png' file (it's just a little 32x32 transparent texture that effects the green murkiness of the water). See if that improves things, however, I still think hatwhale's problem won't be solved by removing this particular file. I think something else is going on there! :sad.gif:

Curse PremiumHere's the link to the 'Xtreme - MorePaintings' mod for beta 1.3_01 : http://www.minecraftforum.net/viewtopic.php?f=1032&t=100222&start=120
(it's been updated by woot as the original author has abandoned it. Best to read the thread too)

Curse PremiumI wonder if your graphics card just doesn't like partial transparency on textures.
