You scratched the glowstone block with a tiny little gray line in the recent version, just letting you know :tongue.gif:
Big fan, keep up the awesome work!
Oh...Flip!! Well spotted mate! Hold On a mo' while I upload a corrected pack again! Why oh WHY do I work into the wee small hours on things!
I spend too much time goggling at the new stuff from every angle to notice my acts of vandalism elsewhere!

Herewith...the updated terrain.png file for quick correction of my little grey scratch on the Nether Glowstone Block:
The download in the OP has been updated to 1.9.1
My sincere apologies to all those who had already downloaded the pack and thanks to LucidLethargy for spotting it first.
If you don't want to go through patching all over again and you feel confident enough to open Glimmar's Steampunk Texture Pack in your Minecraft Texture Packs folder, you only need to drop in and replace the terrain.png file there. Nothing else has been changed. Again, my apologies to all!! :smile.gif:
The airship is just amazing, love how the engine looks, like a on a WWI bomber :biggrin.gif:
Not sure I dig the time machine idea though, I'd still like to have some classy beds in my victorian styled houses.
Although It makes sense when you consider the fact that beds will be spawn points though, like you've someone reverted back to when you were alive but after you died (confusing, haha)..
Thanks, mate!
I suppose at some stage I'll make a nice little bed alternative, but as awesome as the bed is, it just seems a little too small to be a 'grand' Victorian bed. I'll still be making those out of blocks. This time machine thing was an excellent idea from someone above (who I apologise to for not having the time to properly credit! I'll get round to trawling back through) that nicely fits into so many ideas.
Being more machine, lab equipment-like (ala Frankenstein), I just think it has more applications than just a bed. Future steampunk bunks for airships, cryogenic sleep beds for spaceships, timetravel, lab experimentation, yes even torture tables for evil megalomaniacs (I'm currently constructing a huge chamber in which on a plinth dead centre will be placed my Time Machine Bed. Radiating out from it will be a weblike arrangement of the new redstone wiring terminating in all sorts of machinary...using paintings, blocks and diodes...all to give the effect of some epic experiment about to take place...my 'eternity machine' da da daaaa!)
So my usual thing of taking something ordinary and trying to make it work in as many scenarios as possible!
I don't think the atmosphere really blends with Minecrft itself, but the amount of work you put into this is phenomenal! I commend ya :smile.gif:
That's a very kind compliment and gratefully received, Thank you! :smile.gif:
I hope at some stage though, you can come round to the way of thinking that, with the phenoma that is Minecraft, it isn't just about one particular appropriate style. What we have in Minecraft is an engine for the imagination, an architects dream, a megalomaniacs heaven, not just one cutsey or medieval style of adventure play as it seems to have been viewed by the media, but the possibility to explore and create all sorts of worlds of the imagination and all sorts of styles of play...for did not Notch say in his infinite wisdom:
"I believe that I can combine enough fun, accessibility and building blocks for this game to be a huge melting pot of emergent gameplay." - Notch
Well I'm in that melting pot trying to emerge...heeeeelp!!
Unfortunately i haven't been able to figure out a firing mechanism that doesn't destroy the cannon, but as soon as i do you'll be the first to know. Aside from that, copy as much as you want and no, i don't have any blueprints, but the design is fairly basic. the base of the tower without the iron struts is 6x6x5, beyond that, its just a couple circles on top of bigger circles with some iron to make it look sturdy. Decorate and spice to taste.
Edit: better view of the gun, the torches for sights was my girlfriend's idea
I used the Texture Program thing.
But it seems like when I enter my world beds still look like purple texture less blocks...
I don't know why it would do that...
I'm not sure why it's doing that for you either. No one else has reported this, mate!
Have you downloaded my latest pack version 1.9.1, installed it in Minecraft's Texture Pack Folder in place of my old texture pack and then used zau's MC Patcher mod on it? Full instructions and latest pack download in the OP on page 1 of this thread. I've done that a few times today and when editing the new texture content, and it's worked fine for displaying the new bed, etc. :smile.gif:
Glimmar, you truly are a role model for any aspiring texture pack artist/ helpful community member or generally nice person. The attention to detail in both your pack and your constant updates are amazing, and the sheer amount of time and effort you continue to put into this pack shines through, inspiring others to try and be even a fraction as creative and inventive as yourself. Your choice of grammar is also immaculate, and this is one of the few places on the forums where one is not constantly bombarded with whining and trolling. I could honestly read through every single page of this thread, because I know that what I read will be genuine and heartfelt. The thread itself seems to attract the sane and collected. I only wish that you continue to hold an interest in Minecraft and your texture pack and that you continue to receive the support that you so clearly deserve.

just a little heads up, since glimm says he wanted to see some steam punk vehicles of epic scale, Ive been toiling away at something both vehicular in nature, and epic in scale. when the time comes i will post screen shots, since i absolutely hate having my unfinished work scrutinized. But until then, il leave you to wonder why anyone would build a gun that big when the only things around for miles are pigs and sheep.

Curse PremiumNo problems, mate! You seem a decent enough chap!
It's not the best WildGrass in the world I'm afraid and I will be editing it myself again some day.
I personally like it, though I've never gotten it to work.

Love the time machine and what you've done with the repeater.
