*Terrain File*
Gestankfaust has been a very good sport and shifted and replaced everything around for me on the terrain.png file and that's saved me time to think about this blessed 'redstone pipe' problem, amongst other things. So all credit to him for making it possible for us to limp along until I've got some new replacements...and you've even still managed to squeeze my name inbetween too. Many thanks, mate!
One problem with this: It appears that the bed and the redstone have been shifted over one panel to the right. I went ahead and moved them over into their correct positions.
Looks like the two main items added are Beds and Repeaters... Here's a picture of the repeaters if you haven't seen them yet:
[see pic above]
I don't know how the texture is decided, but that shape and its purpose suggest only one thing to me:
[see pic above]
That's definately top of the ideas for repeaters so far, with some jiggory pokery. That, or something quite close, should do the job nicely, although it has to glow too doesn't it? Thanks, mate.

Glimmar, I know with the update today, you'll be busy with the bed, the delayer and the 'weeping obsidian' textures but would it be possible for you to make an alternative cake texture that is a Victoria sponge, instead of some sort of steampunk gadget the you're cannibalising parts from.
Well, as you understand, I won't have time at the mo' to do that, but at some stage, if you keep reminding me, I'll make an alternative Victoria sponge cake too! :smile.gif:

I've been thinking about it, and I actually want to work on a texture pack to compliment your Steampunk pack. It will be Dieselpunk. Mind if I use your 32x32 texture as a stepping stone to get it up and running, Glimmar?
With proper credit, by all means, mate. :smile.gif: Sounds interesting and good luck. It's a hard road though, just ask Gestankfaust and others, take a packed lunch and a thermos!
Awesome, thanks! Hope you won't mind me occasionally bugging you on questions regarding texturing water.
Ha ha! I'm no world expert on water textures, mate! Mine's not even animated! :biggrin.gif:

So, can we use Glimmar's + the HD patcher with 1.3? I don't want to try it out unless I know for sure.
EDIT: Just saw HD patcher isn't updated.
I thought he'd made it so that it would still update, without it having to be updated, or is that BetterLight, (BetterLight being one less thing to worry about for the future...I think)

Thanks so much, mate.
You are all a very sane and helpful bunch to work with.
Reluctantly I've not upgraded just yet ('cos I've not backed up my old world yet after working on the airship), these things always happen at the worst times for me, so I'm curious as to how the redstone pipe appears with Notch's new hardwired illuminated system?

I just tried it out, it has the same shape as the current pipes, just glowing red. The hue is slightly different depending on the texture (darker spots on the pipe are a darker red, lighter spots are lighter), but it is all red. I was hoping that we could use an overlay, with it only showing through white spots, but alas it isn't so.
EDIT: I'll post pics later showing what it's like.

Thanks mate, I appreciate that. I've got to see to the family at the moment, so I'll come back fresh to this later! :sad.gif:

Ugh, I've updated and I scoured the new files: It doesn't look like there's any picture the gradient for pipes is based on. Wish I could be more help, but have fun with the folks!
Thanks for the fix Ksheep. I wasn't able to test it. One thing that's very cool about 1.3 is that they actually put 3 half blocks in, not two like they had said earlier. The sand stone get a very awesome half block now too.
Yay!
(I found a bonus...will "show it" soon)

Here's a pic of what the redstone looks like now (note: I had modified it a bit thinking that it could act as a mask, hence the 2x2 squares along the length, which you can see on the terrain sheet below).
Also, updated sheet. Fixed the purple on the underside of the beds (I think). Again, I haven't had a chance to test it out.
This is helpful, but the only problem with this is that no everyone has the same OS as you, some people have a mac, some people have windows, and some people have Linux.

first off I love the pack and everything you are working on for us. I'd like to point out that the pillow end of the bed on the top white area also has a purple line like the bottom other end did. I've fixed this on my game(poorly) but as my skills are nothing of yours it doesn't look great, not horrible but not great, also it isn't a huge thing as I expect most times the pillow side to be against a wall. I also assume you will be bringing in a custom texture for the bed as well. so if you don't remove the line before a custom texture is made I will be ok with that as well. Keep up the good work and I'll stop rambling now.

Lava should be oil. It's a bit more industrial and would be EPIC
Beds should have sheets with gears :biggrin.gif:
These are just a few ideas

Yeah, sorry bout that. Forgot to erase the purple background and Photoshop was being it's normal anti-aliasing self
Holy sh*te! Slimes are back in? When did that happen!?
