would you release a version with one colored grass (green) so its not grey for me? i even tried a clean .jar.
Just for me? should take longer for you to upload then to change it, lol. (please?)
Well, I haven't gotten the handcannon to be created, but I'll keep trying, in the meantime, have a blunderbuss and jury-rigged pistol.
The jury-rig, I tried to make it fit the sound, and look rather fragile. The Blunderbuss, I feel this could have been better, but it seems to work fine.
And, the updated item sheet:
I will likely work on the iron pieces, ammo count, and handcannon come morrow.
Edit: I found it strange to give advise without knowing whether it would work, so I tested it (and damn the marble pack has a lot of textures >_<).
It seems to work, I only run around for a couple of minutes in a new world, but no textures glitches so far.
OK, you probably know more about this than I do (I don't know **** about modding), so could you please explain what you did in a really simple manner? Preferably step-by-step... Thanks!
All you need is a decent drawing program (although this even can be done with paint)
And the zipfile of the marblemod.
Open the zipfile
Find the subfolder called "Marble" (inside are all the images)
Extract the folder to a temporary location.
Open the images inside the folder with your drawing program.
Find the resize option (most programs use the hotkey "ctrl-R", but paint uses "ctrl-E")
Change the size to 32X32 pixels and save the images.
Put the folder in your minecraft.jar (together with the other files of the marble mod if you removed those)

i looked into the stuff with the mods, i found that fancy pack is turning the grass grey. I installed a fresh copy of minecraft and started from scratch and it is most definitely fancy pack that is conflicting with better light/grass and it isn't this texture pack :tongue.gif:
This texture pack looks awesome, really nice work! However, when I try to run Minecraft with the texture pack on, my screen just goes black. Any idea what the problem might be? I'm using a Mac.

Are you running it with any mods that may be conflicting with it? And when you put the texture pack in the texture pack folder (should be in (Username)/Library/Application Support/Minecraft, or something along those lines), did you put in the .ZIP file or did you put in the unzipped folder? You should just have the .ZIP file, otherwise it might not work properly.
If this doesn't work (and you are willing to use it as your main texture pack), you could go and put the files from the texture pack directly into the game file. Open up the Minecraft.jar file (need to use terminal to use it, or just use a mod installer (I use Contrillion's Mod installer, found here http://www.minecraftupdate.net/macmodder.php)) and replace the standard textures with those found in the texture pack folder.
So, I started to dabble with note blocks, I have repeating array of 12 so far and home to expand to 36 tonight, that should be enough for a song.
I need Idea's of what songs to try out that would be in-theme for this texture pack. I found a nice piano tabs website, just need some inspiration. :smile.gif:

Ooh, that's a tough one... If you consider yourself the rapacious or dastardly sort, you can't go wrong with the theme of Professor Fate from The Great Race...
Hell, that guy is pretty the direct inspiration of **** Dastardly, and a shining example for all old-school, mustache twirling villains. I'll try to come up with some more tunes, but that one stands out for me.
If you haven't seen The Great Race before, I strongly reccomend you do. It's a great 1964 comedy, and Jack Lemmon turns in a great performance as the film's card-carrying villain.
I'll catch up with all your posts as soon as I can, but I just wanted to encourage you to head over to pchan3's thread.
Herewith one pic of my first HD design for pchan3's amazing airship:
This is just a taster I wanted to show, as reward for spending two whole days and nights on it. :biggrin.gif: The rest of the pics and skin I've given to pchan3 to show, as is proper. Check out his thread here: viewtopic.php?f=25&t=178612&p=2662031#p2662031 for more pics (when he's had chance to post them), and show your support!
A little info:
the positioning of the support bars/cables took the longest, so that they would look the part as fixings for the engines and yet still look like cables with proper attachments to the balloon and basket. The one graphic has to serve two purposes and in different positions!
The design keeps as close to the airship pchan liked the look of, and I've tried to make the balloon as bulbous as possible, given the limited number of pixels, even in high def.
When I've had a bit of a rest (it's school holidays here in the UK and I have all the kids around me!) I can do a range of balloon colours to suit taste. The icon will take me a little longer to do, but I will do it to match this design.
The 'basket' is all corroded copper and brass and the interior pipes match up with the stanchions that support the propeller engines. I've even added foot control pedals that look as if they might control the left and right engines for turning and speed. The chimney is riveted copper to match the basket, and there is an aperture on the underside of the balloon for the heat and smoke from the chimney to rise into the balloon for the appearance of function as well as form! :smile.gif:
Hope you like! There are things I think I can still improve on, but I wanted to get something back to pchan as soon as possible for the weekend! Then I can enjoy some Saturday with the kids! :biggrin.gif:
Have a great weekend everyone! pchan3, and you! :smile.gif: many thanks for the privelege of working on such a fantastic project!
Just looking at the pic again, I can see there is great potential for alsorts of humorous as well as steampunkish designs. I think a great bloated Minecraft pig would look really funny...even better if it was possible to have little legs poking out at the corners! Lol! It's just very late here, so forgive me if I go and hallucinate about some other possible balloon designs.
Finally, I have finished the respriting of the minegunner mod. I now have the ammo.png, and iron_pieces.png done as well as all previous, making all of the sprites changed.
The iron pieces. I didn't feel like drawing individual pieces, so I used a bag of iron. I need to work on my bags... The ammo icon, modified to my standards. The handcannon (finally made it, there needed to be 9 diamond in the lower right as well as what you said), I tried to make it a more advanced version of the blunderbuss. I still think it could have been better.
Item sheet.
Inside of this zip, you will find an "items" folder. Just place the items inside of this folder into the same named folder in your current texture pack. If you would like.

Well I guess my little attempt got of ya of ya **** ^^, nicely done mate but ya also had more canvas if ya say hd! So I now know how to trigger the artist in ya
Ha ha! Yeh!
When I saw how many pixels there were to work with for the balloon I was a little 'flummaxed' to say the least! But where there's a will.... It would certainly be nice to have a larger area to 'paint' personalised designs on to, but from a modder's point of view there are obviously limitations to space.
it still crashes but i have some new info that could help:
when I start xua's HD texture fix 1.1.11 it says that the minecraft.jar is:
- corrupt (which isn't because i just downloaded the minecraft.jar new without doing everything else)
- an conflicting mod (which isn't too because there is no mod installed)
- an update of minecraft that is not compatible (I don't think it is this one because i use patcher 1.1.11 and minecraft BETA 1.2.0_2
- already patched (isn't because it's new, so it isn't patched)
next it just opens the screen and I can patch and when I start minecraft it does.
but when i put modloader (risugami's one) inside the minecraft.jar (AND deleting the whole META-INF folder) the game crashes
the game crash is just an message:
Minecraft has crashed and some lot of other text.
so can someone PLEASE help me.
12vince, before you download a fresh Minecraft, make sure you delete everything in the '.minecraft' folder EXCEPT your 'saves', 'resources', 'texturepacks' (I'm only familiar with the 'Windows' version, so will be different I'm sure for other operating systems). The only really important thing to keep, and also make sure you have backups of, is your 'save' folder! Everything else you can start with fresh, including the 'resources' and 'texturepacks' folders.
If you've already done the above, your problem will be beyond my limited talents as an artist. Hope you get this fixed one way or another though! I can understand your frustration at this point...also bear in mind that, from what I've heard, there will be another Notch update on Tuesday and everything will need fixing again!

I'll try when I get home, but thanks either way!

How about the Little Fugue in G Minor by Bach?
