Anything in particular, I'd have a hard time working off of just that. Any specific item, anything I could do to it to make it fit better in your opinion?
As you wish. Lets start with the swords;
None of them kinda look like swords expect the stone sword. Make them more sword-ish. For example the wood sword is a crowbar and the gold sword is a gold ?
Second the pickaxes is all rockets? harpoons? Change it to something that atleast looks like a pickaxe
And for the hoe and shovel, they didnt match the rest of the set. Make something that matches the rest of the texture
Some people may like it but i didnt. Other than that this texturepack is a

Ah, I just looked through the user-item pack, and saw what some of your complaints were;
The only items I actually made were the ones on this sheet.
Speaking of that, I made my friend some new items lately, they aren't much steampunkish, but I'm thinking of putting them up as an option anyways.
Once on Minecraft, I got myself stuck having to fend off a creeper and two spiders in the middle of nowhere with a FLOWER on hard difficulty... and I survived.
So I think I asked this here before, but it may have been another place. Regardless, I was wondering if there is any other way besides using the patcher to use the nether block textures? Also out of curiosity, anyone know what causes the actual HD texture glitches?
Here are a few of my recent mob textures. All of them are HD, but I play with them all and they work fine.
First, we have my latest (and last, I hope) squid. I can't decide on my favorite color:
Next up we have a character I made of a friend of mine, so that I can see him when I play multiplayer. This is what he actually wore to my wedding (no, he was not the groom). Thought you all might enjoy the look:
Not technically steampunk, but close enough. Rose and Doctor number 10:
Finally, many pages ago someone mentioned a mustachioed creeper. It caught my fancy, and this is the creeper I play with:
@ Gestankfaust and everyone else talking about female characters: I happen to be female, last I checked, and would be happy to make some more female character textures. I prefer to work in 32x32, though.
I do wonder why such a majority of the players seem to be male. Maybe I'm an unusual woman in my complete obsession with a building game - but with a contractor father and an architect/landscape architect mother, I guess I was doomed from day one.
I seem to have a mod that is causing me to appear at my spawn point regularly when I start minecraft, and each time I do the grass color changes.
CuZnDragon
The biome colour triangles 'grasscolor.png' and 'foliagecolor.png' are what influences the colour of grass and foliage, respectively.
All I can think here, is that when you are reset to your spawn point the biome colour for the grass and foliage is being randomised again...if that's possible. Are you noticing any other changes in the landscape?
@ Xytherea: Welcome to the forum and this thread! :smile.gif: Many thanks for the encouraging compliment and glad you like what's going on. Hope you continue to enjoy the changes over time and the content of this thread. I'm lucky to have a patient, helpful, and enthusiastic set of minecrafters who keep me on the right track! On that subject I'm glad Gestankfaust was able to make a character skin for you. :biggrin.gif:
@ Gestankfaust: Many thanks for your work on that mob and character skin pack. I'll include that as soon as I can when house keeping the OP. It'll also be useful for the next version update too! Saved me some work there and added the bonus of charcter skins too! :smile.gif:
@ nmdrkangl: That is such a cool, atmospheric video. I love your sense of design and in particular the style, music choice and that amazingly Victorian sitting room at the base of your lighthouse at the beginning of the movie. Everything is just right about it, even the choppiness (whether intended or not) adds to that 'turn of the century' 'Wellsian'(?) feel.
You have kind of created the first full length Minecraft Steampunk movie here, with a story! The change of mood in the music as you passed through the Nether was inspired. Well done, mate, and thanks for sharing. This just adds to the wealth of ideas that folk keep sharing. :biggrin.gif:
@ dorianGREY: Ha ha! What! You don't like my baked bean lava? Lol! As I'm sure you know it was a rush job right from the start when I originally launched the pack and for some stupid reason I've always overlooked editing it. I suppose lava doesn't feature heavily in my own build so it hasn't received the attention it obviously deserves when it is so important to others. If anything, I've got to hold the record for the most hilarious version of lava in Minecraft! :biggrin.gif:
Thanks for your compliments though, mate. Much appreciated, and yes, as mentioned previously this thread has the best bunch of extra-ordinary ladies and gentlemen in Minecraftia! :biggrin.gif:
@ ssaint: I'm no expert on armour textures, etc. I've just never turned my attention to that side of things so far (will do eventually), so I'm afraid someone else at the mo' will have to help out here. Gestankfaust, Tiger4Ruler...anyone?
@ Pipehead and Occupants of PipeWorld: It was seriously great fun and a great honour to be shown around PipeWorld and your current 'projects'. My apologies for being so slow at keeping up though.
You guys are a great bunch and you spurred me and my youngest lad to persist in creating a local server on my machine so that we could be a little more productive in 'Glimmar's World'. We're going to have some friendly competition with you now, albeit a slightly different approach, because, as you know I'm a little masochistic, in that I insist on foraging for all our materials, so we'll be a lot slower in achieving our goals than you. It's cool we share the same view, that our builds have to be epic in scale, and yours most definately are!
I'll definately return for another tour. Just let me know when you're ready to show me the next mega construction. I'll come 'suit'ably dressed next time then no-one feels the need to underdress! Lol! I'm looking forward to any vids and pics to show off in the OP. :smile.gif:
I had to laugh at your OCTOAPOCOLYPSE story, it's just the sort of thing I'd have done! :biggrin.gif:
@ Mondai: Lol!
@ PipeHead, Gestankfaust, Tlos, 0235: I'm getting worried now! I've not got red hair, or any link to red hair...does that mean I shouldn't have an interest in Steampunk? Besides which my hair went silvery grey in my early twenties and has stayed the same ever since!:SSSS:
Too many posts to fit all replies here...I'll go back to texturing for a bit!

Heeee! Thank you! That means a bunch. :biggrin.gif: The choppiness was 2 parts running the game *and* the capture software at the same time, and one part editing.
I've started a new world from scratch and have begun work on making a small steampunk town with the information i've learned so far. Another video is sure to follow.
@ Tiger - The simple answer is "no" (although it's not as simple as that). Some of the time they do, most they don't. I had a conversation about it to a guild mate. I asked, he said "you should be able to", but of course I couldn't. Then a bit later I could. So it seems kinda like the /warp bug that revert your view of yourself back to the original skin.
I'll test it out more with the folks on PipeWorld today
