I've only been away for a few hours and so many wonderful new things above!
Fear not...I will include all the things I see above in the next pack along with any new things I do. Here's a...
Cake Machine
It's a replacement for the cake of course and for those who like their gadgets, gives us another prop to use, other than just eating it of course. Rather than eating, you are using it to replace parts in your mechanical prosthetic attachments.
I may not get a complete updated texture pack ready this weekend, as I will be busy again tomorrow, but hopefully fairly soon!
NekoSteamBoy, has very kindly offered to try and put together a separate website for 'Glimmar's Steampunk'. Initially as a repository for everyone's pics of their fabulous builds and as a gallery to inpire others, but ultimately (so long as it doesn't involve too much housekeeping input from 'yours truly'...me!) a place for alternative textures, mobs, etc. so that this already overwhelming thread doesn't bust at the seams! I don't want to put any pressure on Neko, or make any wild promises, but as I've said before, I'd like a little more freedom to work on textures and artwork rather than housekeeping and this might be a way forward.
Very awesome. It would kind of be nice to get a database (or something more simple) that could show who is working on what, share ideas on various aspects that need work, etc. And in an ideal world (probably a quite a ways off) a texture customizer tool such as Painterly Pack has. Yeah, thats asking a lot, but I dream big. (I'm a trained artist, and literally have no clue what kind of coding it takes to make something like that. In my mind, coders use magic to make things happen)
also, has anyone set up a MP server? I'm not really familiar with how MP works, but it could be cool to have a world set up dedicated to Steampunk. Working on a Victorian mansion in my own world, but it would be fun to walk around with some other people in their creations.

Why do people play with Lego without having tennis balls thrown at them?
Well, I had some extra time today, and I thought to myself, 'You know, doing that "normal" bow, I actually like going back and adding another type of each item,' so I did.
A new wooden sword, stone sword, iron sword, and golden sword.
Ladies and Gentlemen, adventurers of all type, step right up. In this modern era, we have harnessed the power of steam to power machines off all sizes and function. Well, no longer shall you be forced to leave these modern comforts at home as you explore the vast new lands. Introducing the brand new "Crafting Gizmo!"
This pocket sized machine is a miracle of modern ingenuity. Featuring beautiful brass casing, mahogany surround, and two crystal lenses allowing you to observe the inner workings, the Crafting Gizmo is as beautiful as it is functional. Able to fit into any backpack, the Crafting Gizmo allows you to combine up to four objects of any size and composition into new and exciting commodities. Sure to make your travels as pleasurable as a paddle boat ride down the mighty Mississippi, the Crafting Gizmo is the one tool you will never leave you home without.
I hope you all read that with an old timey pitchman's voice. But seriously, from my tests, the in game "Crafting" text should line up perfectly with my design regardless of the screen resolution, but if anyone notices something off please let me know. I'm calling this one done unless someone tells me something that needs changing.
Hopefully I can work on Chests, work bench and furnace tomorrow. They should be much easier, but i always think that then come up with some crazy idea that is overly complicated. Bloodjack, i like what you did with your screens, may hit you up for some advice if i run into problems with the animated parts of the furnace.

@ Vinegrower, BloodJack, Vondell, Tlos: Nice work, guys! So much choice! I may have to make 3 packs available next time, so folks can choose which style of gui they'd like!
i am a real minecraft user, but i cant update to 1,2_02 and i cant get my skins from the cloud.
i must play in offline
Skulldeseption: use the mc patcher. its on the first page.
The minecraft servers may be down, mate. Just keep trying until Notch has transferred everything and sorted things out. I imagine things will be a little unstable for a few days. I'm still using 1.2_01 too, until things settle down.
Yeah, there's no real reason to go to 1.2_2 right now, anyways. All it does is tell Minecraft to load the skins from a different server, but you still don't get your skin back. I've actually taken mine as a hard replacement to the default (I removed that silly looking hat).

It must do more than that as a few of the mods I used (mcregion and optimine) no longer work with 1.2_02. They cause minecraft to crash.
1) Get to and open your '.minecraft' folder
2) Delete every folder (i.e. bin, resources etc) except the 'saves' folder (which you really should make regular backups of if you care about your MCworld!)
3) Run Minecraft.exe/sign in and this will update your game to latest patched version.
4) Now grab Glimmer's Texture Pack and copy it into the 'texturepacks' folder within the .minecraft folder
5) Download the latest patcher(v -1.1.11) at this link: viewtopic.php?f=1021&t=46173&start=1770
6) Run the patcher program > where it says 'Texture Pack' tick it and choose browse > .minecraft / texturess folder/Glmmer's Stemapunk Pack > this will now auto set 32x32 for Tile Size and leave all 'Options' boxes below ticked > now click 'Patch' bottom right
7) Run the game and select the texture pack from within game menu > bingo, you're in.
Hope this helps

Please explains to me what minecraft folder? all i [email protected]#ing see is just the minecraft file that starts it up, so i delete that and re install it and its still giving me crap.
Hey Glimmar. downloaded your pack a few days ago and tbh this is the first pack i've tried that actually has me saying "wow" without fail every single time i log in to my city. this is amazing incredible stuff, keep up the great work! (to the contributors too ;] )
anyway, i have a couple nub questions:
i've been trying to find the block that looks like a steel block with gears for innards. is/was this the iron block? has it been replaced and if so is there any way i can get it back? i'm craving that block like a madman for some of my projects D:
i'm also looking for that fan i see in some screenshots on p.1, but i cant tell if its a block or something else since it looks like a part of the iron block (based on the texture key pic Glimmar posted a few pages back) but one screenshot also shows it on some "netherplate" blocks? (i'm frothing at the mouth for this one too Dx )
if someone could clue me in itd be greatly appreciated :]

this doesnt seem right.....
You can fix that with Xau's HD Texture patcher, there's a link on the front page.

Go to Users/YOURDRIVE/Application Support (or something of the like)/Roaming/.minecraft/
Mac:
Go to Macintosh HD/Users/YOURDRIVE/Library/Application Support/minecraft/
Then follow Thirsty's instructions.
