Pack Your Trunks!
Left click to enlarge. Finally learned to 'simg' (knocked myself over with a facepalm!)
Sorry folks, had some other things to do this weekend, but did have some time to ratchet and clank a steampunk Steamer Trunk Chest together - seen here in situ (seconds also as a pretty good hatch in the floor or on a ships deck).
Have also fiddled with the cobble (aargh!), tried out new wood, then returned to an edited version of the original and mucked around with the furnace, also tinkered with the railtrack.
If I get more time, I'll upload better pics later.
ps. Love all the mechanical spider pics, Triskelli
This. Land Leviathan. RoL is one of my favorite RTS games. I would bow before the person who built a Land Leviathan in Minecraft.... Where's my Minecraft.exe?! Must build!
On topic, this pack looks better every time it see it. Keep going!
Yo glimmar, there's enough packs with that style cobble (from the latest pic).
Personnaly i think a brick-style matches the steampunk feel much better.
A few examples of how I've used the 'Steamer Trunk' Chest for storage and effect. Also showing why I haven't gone overboard (forgive the pun) on pipes and cogs, etc. I want to be able to use it as an alternative wooden decking and decorative trap door item.
Cargo chests set into the skyship keel forming the deck above - giving me plenty of spare storage space and helping with the aesthetics in the factory area of my Grand Depot.
Welcome aboard Glimmar's private skyship - showing storage chests set in the deck.
Every ship...even a small private skyship...needs a bridge (control station). Cramped, but functional, more like the 'Nooky' from 'Matilda'.
Looking back from the prow of the skyship to the rear gangway entrance. I'm no closet sailor, so feel free to shout me down on the terminology! :biggrin.gif:
And on platform 1 we have the Steampunk/trunk freight train idling.
Hope you all do better than this, when I finally get this terrain file done, it's obviously wasted on me!
Thanks for your, compliments, observations, constructive crits, but mostly your patience guys...it's getting there! :smile.gif:
AAAHHHHH ITS LOOK SO AWESOME!
Seriously could you release it now? I am very bored with Painterly.

I am in love with your hangar, Glimmar. Would love to see a cartograph of your whole map

Then the game is afoot, good sir! Only question is, exactly how big is it though?
I've been watching this, and I'd like to make a suggestion with my first post, if I could - Creepers could look something like a hot water tank on tank treads. Steam gauge where the frown is, a couple of valves over the eyes, etc. etc. Skeletons could be brass automatons. That are susceptible to overheating in the sunlight.
...
I didn't say the plan was perfect. Also, what block is that that has what appears to be a large fan on it?
'Cause he doesn't want to release it until it's totally complete... the tease
A wheelchair? Someone get that man a mechanical spider chair.

Curse PremiumLol! Many thanks, but that just reminds me of what there's still to do! :sad.gif:
