Alright, couple of hell blocks for you guys. Hellstone, aka red mossy cobblestone, and slow sand, aka hell mud. I know these are darker than anything in Animal Crossing, but I wanted to maintain the spooky feeling of the ether. The hellstone is based on cobblestone, with a bloody, gooey touch. The slow sand is a play on the original texture, which had creeper faces in it. Instead I used the faces of damned Animal Crossing players!
I've updated the terrain file for download. I've also added a zip with most of the parts you guys have been requesting, no items until I update the sheet to match the new items in game.

All i can say is i like everything you have done with the pack including these updates. Thank you for a marvelous texture pack. I do have a question though. Have you thought about doing any alternate textures. I know your still working on finishing the pack but perhaps you have some lying around from all your work. I like to switch em around. I would like an alternate for smoothe stone. Don't worry about it now, i am fine and you have other things to do. Just wondering what you think about alternate textures at some point. Cheers.
oh i realllly like the red cobblestone, you know what it reminds me of? The movie War of the Worlds where the spaceship/alien guys were spraying peoples blood all over this red weedy stuff that sprawled across the landscape like big red veins (creeped me out) so yeah it looks like that stuff, whatever it was.
Also love the mud/face block. Its so cool im trying to find a place in my world to show it off... i cant think of anywhere to put it though.

the smooth stone bothered me a little bit at first too, i think its because although it looks fine underground to mine out of, it doesnt look right when you build something with it, i got used to it pretty quick and just recently built a huge bridge out of (looks good as bridges i reckon!)
the thing with changing the smooth stone is then all the raw ore blocks have to be changed too and i'd feel dirty asking someone to do all that.

Well the good thing about this texture pack since all of the textures are done so well is they can double as other textures. For instance i love the gray brick texture. When i saw it i wanted it to be my cobblestone texture. So i switched it. I think it makes buildings look great. For example here is a building i built recently using the gray brick in place of the cobblestone texture.
I also liked the diamond block a lot. The thing is i have been playing minecraft for three months and i have yet to make a diamond block and most likely won't any time soon. But i wanted to use it. It is so pretty. Great for floors, walls, and designs. So i replaced my gravel texture with the diamond one. I have never used gravel to build with before but now it is great for all kinds of things. I used it as a base for my dome and for the pathways inside the dome that lead to a fountain in the center made out of it. Here is a picture.
I guess i am trying to make a case for alternate textures in the future for this pack. Dancrum is an excellent texture artist and i would like to see more stuff from him. Well it is late here and i am rambling on and on. Time to put out the cat and get some sleep. =D

Wow. I love your base! And point definitely taken about the alternate textures thing, the gray brick as cobblestone looks amazing! How long did it take you to build all that though?
I'm planning on making all four seasons from the original game, but I'm strictly against making cobblestone look like bricks, sorry. It feels almost like cheating to me. Like, clay is hard enough to find that when you get to build with bricks it's a nice reward for hunting for it, where as cobblestone blocks are a dime a dozen. I dunno, that's just my personal opinion.

It's nice to hear you will be making all four seasons from the original game. Excellent! As for using the gray brick as cobblestone, it could have just as easily been used as cobblestone in this pack or any other. After all, i still have to go find clay when i want to make red brick which is what i replaced the gray brick with. I do however respect your artistic vision and understand your desire to keep to the animal crafting theme. I apologize if it seemed as though i did not. It was not my intention in any way. I will be looking forward to the rest of this pack. Cheers.
Oh no, no need to apologize. When I used Doku's pack, feels like ages ago, I modded the hell out of it. We all have our own tastes and you're free to mod my pack to fit yours. I'm just happy you like what I made enough to use it as your base.
I hope it's not out of place of me to suggest this here, but if anyone wants a nice set for the items/mobs that is nicely compatible with the AC one (until dancrum does an official one :happy.gif:), I'd like to suggest the items and mobs from Rofang's Plastic Pack. They mesh really well with the AMAZING work dancrum has done so far.

Thank you. I appreciate that. I do love the pack and my base has never looked better. I look forward with anticipation to further updates to your marvelous texture pack. =)

You need to use Xaus HD Texture Fix which can be found here:Xaus Mcpatcher
and make sure to patch it to a 64x64 file size! :biggrin.gif:

You know, that jack-o-lantern is just so awesome,
i'm gonna have to pry myself off of the painterly pack
p.s. Gah!
the .zip file link is broken!
I guess I'll have to make way with just the (awesome) terrain.
can you get that fixed?
Whale of a Tale!
I tried to download the file and it wasn't working either.

Those rocks are glowing! With that the Nether textures are done. Next up are turn-- crops, and then the juke box. Terrain file has been updated too.
