Things like the chests and beds look a little piratey too... its still good, but i prefered the older versions...
Don't beat yourself up because of the sour puss people coming in nagging about stuff Frenden. There are already a ton of new people coming in commending your work. By the look of the last couple of pages I think you sparked a lot more interest in your pack than the people who don't like it. In the end it's really what you want to do and not what others want. The whole point of art is about expressing yourself.
You have me on the tip of my toes and a bunch of others too just waiting until the pack is finally complete with the pirate looking items.
This pack is sweet! I Love the way it makes everything look, especially the swirly smoke!
Not the biggest fan of pirates, but the only really piratey thing is the crafting table, and it's not like i build stuff out of crafting tables, so I don't see what the big deal is.
The last 10 to 15 pages in this thread have consisted for about 60% of people that don't like the new stuff. Maybe it's time for them to move on.
Even if you don't like skulls and treasure maps, Frenden's pack is still much better than the default. Time to stop wining and start supporting this awesome pack (or just not post here).
Maybe you're right and it's time to move on specially with people who seem to jump down people's throats because they don't like the new direction the pack is taking? So what? Should we only post if we like it and we're going to be kissing ass like many of the people posting here? Sorry, but that's not how it works. I'm sure Frenden wouldn't be exactly happy if the majority of his fan stopped using his pack like you're suggesting they should do. Maybe he would be. Who knows?
At any rate, I'll support him when I like the direction he's taking and not support him when I don't. Simple. When I first started using his pack and he put up a donation button, I gave a small donation because I wanted him to continue and I appreciated the effort he put into the pack. But don't come in here telling us when we can complain or criticize when most of us complaining have been here way before you supporting him and his work.

I first downloaded this pack back in the old style, and I'm excited for it forking too, if only to make it easier to have either style available when I want xDDD two Frenden packs with lovely but distinct styles + mcpatcher beta = whichever I like when I feel like it!

I love the new look of the pack, it's so polished. Normally I hate requesting things since I know you've done a lot of work on it already, but if you're interested could you add some sort of decoration to the gold block? I tried to do this but it really doesn't look very good:

I think my "I give up" comment was taken far more seriously than I intended. It happens. Internets is serious business and all that. My plan is to fork the pack and maintain two versions. I may have a customizer in the future too. The only problem with that is a damnable lack of free time to get all the textures sorted and loaded.
