Redstone wires aren't working right with this texture pack. They are lit up even when unpowered. The only way to tell the difference is that powered redstone wires emit sparks.
With a previous update, I just fixed it myself. It was a problem with Mojang changing how the wire textures work. This time I'm not sure how to fix it, because the textures look right to me. It can't be a problem with the game, since unpowered wires go dark in other texture packs.
This should be fixed in the newest beta version on the previous page. 8.10 HERE

Ignoring whatever the hell you meant by "undertones,"
I actually really enjoyed the new Cobblestone in 8.9, am I alone in doing so? :S
No, I love it xD
It looks so... 3d? I don't know exactly, it's just awesome.
Gonna post pics of my MASSIVE mansion when I finish it! It's about 75% done. Just need the roof on!
Also the screens in the first post have a shader applied to them via another mod.
Well, it's been the only custom textures I've liked since he started doing making them and I used to love them. In fact, I was about the second person to donate to him when he started doing donations. And I know he's got a shader applied but the textures in the zip file aren't the same he's using on the screenshots.
Sorry, Frenden. I love your art style but I'll admit that I feel like many of the new changes (zombies, creepers, dirt, sides, stone, etc) do not fit at all with what the texture pack was originally. I started reading a little further back in the thread and I realized that you're taking the textures in a new direction. While this is your prerogative, of course, I feel like maybe you should have simply forked your texture for those who liked and supported the style you started with originally. I read that you don't want to split your fans but, as it stands, I think this will happen anyway. For instance, I'll have to change them manually every time a patch comes out or, sadly, it'll be easier to simply use another texture pack altogether. =\
Of course, I guess a texture customizer like what you've talked about could solve this problem.
I intend to eventually support simple, classic version of the pack, but I'm trying to focus on getting the new direction going right now. So, for maybe an update or two, those who fervently support the old grass textures may have to edit a PNG. :smile.gif:

I'm glad to hear this, as this is the only pack I've used in MC and I want to keep using it. =)
Ok, so I see theres like an alternative part of the texture where theres fridges and tabletops with shelves. However, I don't know how to switch the original texture pack to the alternative one. :0

You and me feel the same way :tongue.gif:
So I loaded the pack from the front page download link, yet some of the textures are messed up when I loaded it up in this texture switcher thing. (I don't think they were messed up when I used GIMP though.)

You will need an image manip app; (Examples: GIMP, Photoshop, Pixelmator), a basic understanding of copy-paste and the selection tool in your application. Once you have that, open the texture file(s) and copy/paste the alternative textures over the defaults.
EDIT: I would not use a "texture switcher thing" ^.~

Yea, and I love his art syle and all but I like the idea better than since the game is sort of blocky and retro, the simpler the textures, the better. And the new ones seem a bit blurry or something. But I have been customizing his texture pack for a while, anyway.
For instance, I've been using these ores instead of the default ones:
I realy love the texture pack, i think its starting to look like a pirate themed texture lol, but ya i realy love the way its headed, and i think youre the best to navigate this path, Frenden.

You'd better send me that terrain.png, or I'll have to kill you.
I will be using this frequently. It's so much better because it's brighter than other texture packs like Painterly. Painterly made me feel dark and slow. This made me feel like I'm running at the speed at light, and I could see everywhere! (This is my first post to anything)
Good job!

Hehe
Same to you, I guess.

I like. Although I've never been a fan of having every ore have the same pattern, just a pet peeve but I like the overall look of them!

A western theme in Frenden's style would be beyond awesome.
Make this happen.
Good job!
