I'm sorry for the black border and *lower* quality, it's my first real video edit (just mashed together some clips I took, added music and text). That's why you don't see my other videos edited. It was a good learning experience, I'll try to fix the quality up tomorrow if I can.
Might want to include an alternate terrain.png there, guy.
The new stuff is fabulous, but not everyone has Photoshop (or the patience) to swap out the textures they don't like. ):
Hey Frenden. I have always loved and used your texture pack way more than any others. I just updated to 1.5 and wanted to see rain and I fixed my tracks with powered tracks instead of boosters, but I noticed you made a lot of changes. I like some of them, but the old glass and chests were way nicer. I was going to change it, but I can't seem to find the alternative files. HELP?
I don't think the game actually uses custom biome colors still. I think it still uses the default's. Mine has a bit of orange in it, IIRC.
You know if you use the Texture Patcher to install your pack the biome colors work, right?
Screenshot from my world using your pack:
I believe this is the yellow you were talking about? Or at least close to it.
Yup. That's pretty close. In sandy areas it skews a little yellow-orange, even. I tend not to run patches or mods, so I know what my world will look like for most users.

I didn't think that was low quality. Did you run around with view bobbing off to make the dolly work so smooth?

It's been mentioned at least eleventy-billion times that the default terrain.png has all the old textures still in it. In addition, there is a PSD with dozens of alt textures. There are several free programs that allow you to edit that file. Free programs can open Photoshop files too. I suggest GIMP. You don't need Photoshop.
I may create a separate download for the more cartoonish options.

I think this idea may be spot on. My girlfriend for instance loved the stoves/vending machines while I'm a bigger fan of the 'classic' items feel. I forgot about the PSD you included, I'll have to do some snooping and see what I can compile out of that!
Final art project got turned in yesterday (FREEDOOOOOOM) so hopefully I'll have some time to record something before I head home for the weekend. I'm 2 (almost 3) weeks behind on my "every Saturday" promise to my viewers :sad.gif:

Frenden, yesterday was the first time I actually downloaded and used the pack. I am in awe of how beautiful the landscapes look. This is the only texture pack I am using from now on.
Thanks, Failure! My main goal with the pack was to create a color scheme for all the blocks that was really cohesive. Rather than make a nice block, I was worried about making a nice overall view when all the blocks were in the world.
Say, how does the game run in Ubuntu? I haven't been running linux for a while (I joined the cult of Mac).
It runs great! Better than both my Windows computers (though this one has better gear). I have yet to see how well it runs on my other computers since the performance update though.

What're you going to school for, art-wise?
Graphic Design with a work emphasis (aka what I like doing) in web design. Graduate in about 2 weeks (oh god)!
As for Ubuntu it's the only way I can play Minecraft on my laptop. I have a Vista/Ubuntu dual boot and Vista I run about 2-5FPS but about 20-30FPS in Ubuntu. Just better use of system resources (particularly RAM, Vista hogs it all).
The new update actually made my desktop PC run MC almost 100% better in that I can finally use Far render distance again. Ever since Beta I haven't been able to (had to use Normal) but 1.5 seems to have straightened that out.

Once the shader installer is fixed by daxnitro I will absolutely include the weather in some FRAPs footage.
Zero, that would be awesome!
My opinion is your pack looks WAYYY too much liek default minecraft and other packs now
