I am loving all of the changes you made to the pack and I am also loving the shader! its got depth of field!!! It brings out the photographer in me and I just run around taking screen shots! to great
(edit) Also! can't wait for your water to work with the shader, it will be a lot better then the default water
Good question. The shortest answer is that I want the largest number of people to be able to play it. I think a vocal minority of users here on the forums push for the HD stuff. I suspect most people won't bother to patch MC and deal with the hassle of their game breaking every time an update comes out. I'm not against it, and might make a 32x32 or 64x64 pack eventually, but it would be in addition to this pack.
your textures and the shader add a whole new fun thing to do in the game! its great. keep up the great work! and tell your friend to keep up the great work too. you will always hold a place in my bookmark bar
Am I the only one that thinks that looks absolutely.....................AW.........................ESOME?!
Side note - shaders work for the most part (some odd outlines around my torches and the black 'selection box' waves around) but I black screen after a minute with MC taking up a good chunk of RAM. Thought my computer would be powerful enough, but alas...or there's an error in my installing ways.
I've also been experiencing random crashes. The game will abruptly stop after a few minutes of playing without giving me an error notification. I don't think it's a performance issue since the only option that drops my FPS is 2x FSAA.
I'm also finding it difficult trying to distinguish the difference between snow and ice due to the bloom.
According to my friend, the author of the shader, the DoF is the hyperfocal length of a Leica M9 with a 50mm at f/32, focused to 2.5 meters, Atari.
Smot, I can't speak to the shader issues other than to say it's a wip, and to suggest filing any thoughts on github. I know the author is reading them.

It's not really a problem for me since I can hear what type of block I'm walking on and I enjoy using the texture pack + shaders.
I read in the GLSL thread that someone fixed their crashing problems by installing the x64 version of JRE, so I'll see if that fixes my crashing issue.

Thats very specific! lol. oh how I wish to own a great camera like that one day....so much money!
I'm not sure if this is just me but, for some reason, the bottoms of the workbench have the wooden plank texture. It only happens to the workbench, the chest is fine.
And the skull, which I assume is supposed to be on opposite sides, end up next to each other. Same as the lock/latch:
Does anyone have any idea why that might be? I'm pretty sure that this is the most recent version of the pack.
Installing 64-bit Java from IE seems to have fixed my crashes but I still get lots of black/white lines around a lot of textures -shrug- Frenden I had recently left your pack for a more gloomy, realistic one but you've brought me back again.
Successful texture pack designer is successful :smile.gif: Also I love the new full-length windows on the doors, makes my houses look awesome!

That's the game engine. In every pack, the bottom of the crafting table will be the plank texture with sides that line up like that. That's a Notch problem. :smile.gif:

Yeah, I figured as much but I thought I'd ask just in case.
That's so goofy, you think something like that would be fixed.
It seems I get random crashes too, can anyone point me in the direction for an x64 version of Java? I didn't find any specific files for that in the Java site.

Thanks for the kind words, all!
Atari, I'm looking at the screens now.
