Here's a more complete temp pack that I threw together in an hour tonight. I managed to reskin all (or at least most) of the new content. That being said, a large amount of it is recolorings of Frenden's work (the new logs come to mind). The sandstone definitely needs some work, but it'll do for a temp-pack. On a side note, if you want to actually use any of my work, feel free. I would be honored to have some of my work in your pack :smile.gif:
Thank you Decateron. I'm using your fix right now. I appreciate it alot. :smile.gif: I looove this texture pack with minecraft. It reminds me so much of Wind Waker.
Great job, Decateron!
I saw you even cleaned up the Squid a bit.
You forgot to add the second half of the foliage colors and the new note particle, however. Oh, and the inventory item icons.
I fused your edits with whatever they were missing from the standard pack. I also didn't like your flip on the Lapis Lazuli block, since it would be looking out of line with every other ore in the game, so I just used your color scheme and re-edited the texture based on standard "Frenden ore orientation" (ORE-ientation? ;-). I'll update my post above.

I got a pretty good laugh out of the Mobs. The Creeper is the funniest of them. I really look foreword to when you've finished retexturing the new stuff.
I don't use too many different texture packs, because Minecraft doesn't have a scroll bar yet for its texture packs and mods options. Yours is now high on the priority list; right next to Quandary May, Painterly (once they're done retexturing everything too) and Pixeludi Pack.
Thank you for putting so much time and effort into making Minecraft even more fun and whimsical for all these folks.
You just use a larger image with 32*32px tiles instead of 16*16px... Also, it will then only work with the HD Texture Fix. The rest is the same.

Thanks Lim! I did actually do some minor edits to the items, but I guess I must have saved them in the incorrect location (it wasn't really noticeable anyways). I didn't even notice the new foliage colors however, so your update is much appreciated!
I'm still swamped with work. I do freelance illustration and it's either feast or famine. It's feast right now. Ive gotta buckle down and make some dough while the making is good. I'll definitely have a chance to muss with things this weekend. I'll probably be finished sometime Monday.
Frenden, you're so cool that my SMP Lets Play has just upgraded to your pack from Painterly. Expect it in the unreleased (but recorded) E006 :smile.gif:
There's a link in my sig. Also, I checked out your site and your art is amazing. so much love
I don't know if this will be an important enough point for you to follow-through on, but I'll say it anyways.
It would be helpful if you included the date of your last updated file on the first post (preferably in the first couple lines). That way, when folks start up the page from a bookmark they can tell whether there have been any changes since their last visit.
Wow! Thanks for the useful suggestion! I wish we had been discussing that for the past few pages.

Just downloaded your pack! It's awesome. The tops of furnaces are invisible haha. That's literally all I've found that I didn't love. I (think I) understand that you haven't had time for adapting to 1.2_01, but it's absolutely great, keep it up!
The new grey/black wool is also invisible. Handy for finding caverns though, just place it on the ground haha.
As an aside the "new" part of the foliagecolor.png is entirely superfluous. It's not used by the pine trees or the birch trees. No need to waste time monkeying with it for this version!
Huh? For me the pines and birches sure do use it... Unless you don't have the grayscale version of the pine needles and birch leaves, which will then not get colored, obviously.

Is there a good guide to the new blocks and items anywhere? I haven't had a chance to play. Most of the stuff is fairly obvious. The new hash marks in the items screen and the three sand variants confound me a bit, though.
The sand blocks have different top and bottom textures. But yeah, without going in-game you won't quite be able to check what is what.

How about waiting? He's already said he's busy, he'll get to it when he can.
