This 1/2 finished proof of concept gives you an idea of the fidelity increase possible (while still retaining my cartoony style). The old image is outlined in red.
Please tell me you'll actually make higher res mob & player textures! The proof of concept looks amazing.
My only worry is that they might look out of place next to the 16x16 textures on everything else. But I guess there's no way to know until you try. :smile.gif:
I might make everything in 32px resolution. After seeing how crappy it is to install packs officially on Mac, I may as well run patchers and the like. So, I'd be making/supporting both. Same content/style, just one would take advantage of twice the surface area for description.

Music to my ears. I was having real issues in my attempts to make a recognizable leather jacket for my "Gamma World meets Looney Tunes" Frenden/Mo'Creatures/Humans+ re-skin at the current resolution and was considering upscaling the pack myself. Now I can just let you do most of the work. :wink.gif:
Some 32x packs can gel well with the blockiness, I say. Seems like it'd almost be less trouble than 16x to create? I mean, since you don't have to think so much like an Etch A Sketch. :biggrin.gif:
Your texture pack is my favorite of all. I may like a lot other textures (Glimmar's Steampunk, Doku's RPG, Geroduku, Aageon Bump, etc etc etc), but your is the best.
It gives Minecraft the look that it should have, a minimalistic, beatiful, look.
The 16x16 texture pack is already great, with good details, and matches minecraft perfectly.
But a 32x32 texture pack?
Thats... Thats... THATS AN AWESOME IDEA!
Really! Your textures on 16x16 looks great already, full of details, a 32x32 would be more perfect than ever!
You got my support on making the 32x32 texture pack ;D
Ohh, and Diamont Block Plated Notch for your texture!
Complaint:I'm using your texture pack and whenever I go to change the textures to a different one, meaning when I click on the "Mods and Texture Packs" Button on the Main Menu,It just shows a blanks screen.
Hey - that looks excellent!
I just hope the coloring scheme will be similar. While many texture packs look awesome on paper I just can't stand the brown, depressing world that they result in when actually loaded...
I will have to switch between the 16px and 32px textures since I won't be able to decide. ^^

weird how people are having issues with texture packs. maybe it has to do with the file structure being used? i just drop my .zip files in the 'user/library/application support/minecraft/texturepacks/' folder and i'm good to go. pretty simple really, so i'm not sure what the deal is.
unless you mean getting the custom lava/water working as well, which you can use the mcpatcher app for if you need to.
