Have you thought of changing the glass border texture? It's kind of strange and doesn't usually match the thing I'm putting it next to IMO... Also I think the cobble stone should be a bit more symmetrical. But other than that I LOVE your pack and plan on using it for a verry long time :smile.gif:
I tested the newest .zip both with the HD Texture Fix and without it and it works fine. The crashing must be occurring only for people with some very rare setup...

i thought it might've been a problem with simo's SPC mod so i tried with a vanilla minecraft.jar but i'm still not getting the textures, just vanilla MC
as an interesting side note, when i click on the "mods and texture packs" button on the main menu i get a black screen and i have to ctrl+alt+del my way out, which i also thought was an issue with SPC but it's actually your pack Frenden ;_____;
it was too good to be true, i finally discover a perfect pack and it somehow conflicts with my client or something in my setup...
it's still crashing my client when i try to select it in the mods and textures menu, or not replacing the default looks at all BUT i managed to make it work
-1.put the .zip file of the pack in the texture packs folder, obviously
0.be on Windows
1.search .minecraft (dot included)
2.open the options.txt file
3.replace skin:default with skin:FrendenTPV5_1.zip (no spaces)
4.save and close the .txt
5.run Minecraft
6.Enjoy!
While I never had the crashing, I did have extreme sluggishness in the mod/texture selection screen whenever I had the pack in there the past few revisions. As I wasn't getting any Icon for the pack not even the b/w default for a pack with no image, I figured something was up with the icon. Removing the pack.png cleared it up. Not being happy with that, I tried loading and just resaving the image in promotion and re-inserting it in the pack and still no image and lag. Then tried resizing the pack.png and that did the trick. Kicking it down to 64x64 worked like a charm for me.
No more response lag and I get to see Frenden's nifty icon. :smile.gif:
Edit: My hunch was right, 128x128 will work also. So no need to lose any image quality. Need to watch those multiples, Frenden. :wink.gif:

Ah - I thought it WAS 64x64! I'll fix that tomorrow. Thanks!

No problem, I honestly thought the problem was caused by me tinkering with the textures and borking something along the way... or Minecraft was trying to tell me something about putting pompadours on your zombies. :smile.gif: When I noticed others posting about similar issues, I figured I'd check it out.

or you could just save his skin to your hard drive and change it through the minecraft profile editer on the website. >.>

...what?
oh i get it, you think because the txt says "skin" i'm actually talking about the player skin... no no no no, here, have a nice steak for making me chuckle
btw, and sorry for double posting, and for going slightly off topic, Frenden, you should really make more skins, you're the best artist in the Minecraft universe but i'm getting kinda tired or switching between (what i think is) your rendition of Notch, the Zombie (zombie notch?) and your Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle

The wood has been warmed up quite a bit compared to what it used to be. I plan on letting people select from a few options eventually.

replace the 'char.png' file in the 'mobs' folder, or if you're online it should load it for you.

Frenden, your texture pack was the first one I ever downloaded, and I've grown to like works like yours. It amuses me, really. :biggrin.gif:
Rockabilly zombies?! Why I'd never....
