The grass color is a problem with how Notch implemented biome colors and all texture packs suffer from it unfortunately. The only fix is to replace the side dirt with a solid dirt texture. Ie, no side grass at all. Boo! Heh. If you want, I'll save a version like that for you. No biggie.
I'm a Mac and didn't have the problem, but it does seem to plague mostly Mac users (though not all). So weird. At least it seems fixed!
You do know the grass and leaves don't have to be b/w right? You can always just edit the specific part of the biome to make the grass overlay just add on to the original grass. The color changes don't have to bee too big either. Subtle changes from biome to biome look better than just green for one and blue for another.

From what I've seen, black and white works best because the biome colorization isn't just a recoloring but more like a tint. Also, I agree with Frenden in his interpretation of the biome colors. This texture pack isn't exactly about subtlety or realism. It seems to be more about fun and abstraction. That's my opinion anyway.
You and Rhodox will have donations from me once I get some sort of Paypal setup with some moneys :]
It's not that I don't donate, it's just that trying to find a job around here is almost pointless unless your humping someone's leg or know somebody that works there unfortunately. Just didn't want you to think I didn't think you deserve the donations. You and Rhodox(Painterly guy just incase you didn't know) have done crazy well at each ends of the spectrum :ohmy.gif: Least in my opinion. I really like both of your guy's works.
Edit: When you get that customizer out it will be AWESOME :OO
I've got two friends who say they can do it, but you know how that goes.
Sorry to hear you're unemployed. The job market sucks right now - average lead time for the unemployed is 22 months according to something I heard on NPR's Planet Money podcast.
I freelance. Things have definitely slowed since mid-2008. I still make due, but I know what you're going through.

Well, I'm only 18, so thankfully the ONLY thing it's effecting is moving out and getting my own life started.
I live right next to Detroit, so I'm figuring I'm in the worst part >.<
It's terrible, I heard GM (I think.. It's one of the three) completely shut down. Past bankruptcy and is just out of the game >.<
That's good to hear. Your definately good at what you do that's for sure :]
Hopefully someone else will notice that and give you moneys XD

I've modified mine by changing the grass into a small shadow that gets darker toward the top, it creates a nice overhang effect and gets rid of the glaring green:
Screen:
(I also swapped out a couple for CleanCraft textures, as I like dark obsidian and subtle cobblestone, and customised a couple of others myself, but that's not relevant).
Edit: Oh, and thanks for the brilliant pack, Frenden! It's by far my favourite.

I think the overhang-shadow is probably the best solution until sidegrass gets recolored (I hope that happens in an update). I tried something similar during version 4.3, but things just felt so darn brown at a glance without the hint of green.
Oh yeahhh, the best pack there is, and also Frende's keep updating! :]
Also, btw, the occlusion does not work with the new version yet? I'm trying to install it but it's not working :C

Posting to thank Joshua for his very generous donation!

This is one that I made for myself of myself. I can make some others like it.
Also, grabbing screenshots of my edit to the mob skins, and overall screenshots. :biggrin.gif:

Use the HD Texture Fix.
