I'm not feeling that. I made a couple of changes to the zombie (blue, I <3 the blue zombie) creeper (he looked too doofy for me) and some of the tiles.
I wasn't super feeling it either which is why I haven't incorporated it into the pack. It's more descriptive, but the level of detail is so far above the rest of the textures that it feels out of place.
Not liking the mossy cobblestone in particular. It looks like a pattern rather than moss. I guess it looks too thin when compared to your original. The big ores look interesting though.
Also I'd like to thank Frenden again for such great work!
Thanks and, again, it's thanks to Frenden's ideas. I only expanded on them.

This is the Big Ore wip:
I haven't had a chance to sit down and futz with the diamond.
They're great and remind me of Doku's ores but I think the ores kinda break the beautiful simplicity, blockiness, and flat shadowing and detailing of your tileset and make them seem out of place. Just quickly comparing the books in the bookcase and the ores, I get the feeling like they would be from different sets.
Now, this is probably going to make me look like a jerk. I intend no offense with this; only wanting to point something out that I considered funny. It's just something that I cannot unsee...
The gold and black ore look like gold and black asses to me...
Heck you could say they look like breasts too... I think you just kind of have sick mind, but I can relate with that! But that is not what I saw when I looked at them... and it won't be for most I'd say. I think 16x16 textures zoomed up like that do look scary for the most part, with any kind of texture, and can be envisioned into anything really!
I have to say I like the ores, A LOT, only maybe tweak the redstone's big middle piece into 2-3 pieces. And you said you aren't finished with that diamond but like what I see so far (blank area in upper right looks odd, but you said you aren't finished so I'll shut up!). And if you want to tweak any of the others so people like Nurio, can't mistake them for breasts and asses... I'll leave that up to you, but I'll just say that probably can just add more entertainment value to the pack...
As for mossy cobblestone, I don't see anything wrong with the original and personally don't think it needs to be tweaked much, if at all. The diagonal pixels of that newer one just looks too pixel-ish for me, and this pack.
The trees.. love em and would be satisfied.... but looking at the trees, as a whole including the leaves and tree logs.... to me it just looks a bit too saturated compared to everything else in the pack... I would suggest maybe toning down/tweaking the minty color of the green just a bit maybe? I have a feeling though, you'll need to tweak and rethink things once the Halloween update comes around, since different shades of green in the world will be rampant now!
As for the log wood torches, I like them.... but I still prefer the lighter wood torches as to me it just fits the theme better. I know you preferred the original torches at some point before you got tired of them, and changed them to log wood, so I'll suggest you please keep the old as alternates. If anything, I'm thinking of switching the torch wood color to your very first wood version, which was practically white!!

While I agree and get your point, in a way I can see an a artistic approach by having an exception with ore blocks, as those are rare/valuable blocks that are a big part of this game, which mostly involves seeking those blocks out. I can see it possibly working, if pulled off well.
They don't tile super well and I'm not sold on how they look in-game, but I think I'll finish them and leave them as an option for people just the same.
Well guys, I made some textures for the Nether for this pack =) Im sure ill just replace em when Frenden makes his own but they will hold me over for now.
(It wont let me attach right now, prolly cuz of the high traffic so heres a link to them.
Damn dude you beat me to it! I had just finished transferring his textures over, but I didn't attempt to alter the new textures to fit his, just added them to his terrain.png and desaturated his grass/leaves.
I'm gonna see how ya did with those new textures though :smile.gif:
Err, let the man finish his Halloween night first.
There's something buggy about the crafting and inventory UI images though. I don't see any changes in the PNG images, but using the custom image results in some blocks being "disabled" in those two screens. You cannot pick up a block from the "to be crafted" window, and you cannot split (right click) on some of teh blocks in teh upper right of the inventory OR some of the blocks in the crafting window.
I'm not too fond of the big ore either. To be honest, I really like the ore and glass you already have! Can't wait for your halloween update! Thanks again for your all the work you've put into this fantastic texture pack.

I'm not following. A different background image should have no way of causing those problems. :ohmy.gif:

I doubt the problem is exclusive to your pack. I'll test it with another.
edit: Alright I'm not having the problem anymore. Nevermind. The patch may have fixed it.

Thanks Frenden! Looks good!
Whew! I was hoping it wasn't me!
