Really good stuff here! This color palette is far out. I dig it greatly. I edited the cobble stone texture, simply replacing it with the brick texture and adding the colors of the original cobble stone > and the mossy version > Oh yes, a wood that is the same color as the tree trunks as well > To use these one would need to copy them into the corresponding position on the terrain.png image. (Perhaps I could have shown these here so they would not be so small, though I am not sure how to go about doing that.)
I like your mob textures as well, so I snagged the zombieBlue for my player texture and added a some grotesque-ery. Here that is!
I felt I should post these here for you since I would not have them without you creating them! A trade of sorts. Thank you very much for your work and imagination! I hope to see more art from you in the future! Exclamation!
*My altered wood textures look a bit strange close up, from a distance they're alright, I will continue to work on this. Also in this picture are the modified cobblestone and mossy cobble stone I posted.(Thanks to you!)
^ & ^^ - read the thread. there are multiple versions of the wood that are darker.
Some seem to have disappeared... I personally love the current default wood the best, but here are links to the darkest wood that Frenden has ever made..... plus also darker leaves, which is the only change I made personally, since I think it brings out the colors of bit more from this pack and makes the trees not blend in too much with grass, from a distance.
Yeah! I love the brighter wood, since it's pretty unique among texture packs - I still agree that it could stand out a bit more when compared to sand but I bet you'll do it right when the time for updating is ripe. =)

I created some new ore blocks based on your ideas. I wanted something that popped out a bit more from the normal stone and this is what I've come up with, so far.
I REALLY like these. Share? I'll give you a diamond:

Thanks! Here you go:
I've made a few changes to the original terrain file but I tried to make sure to only put the new ores in this file. I hope I didn't miss anything.
Hey Frenden, absolutely loving your texture pack. Of the ones that change the tone/style of the original yours is definitely my favorite. Will you be updating this frequently or might you be moving on to something else?
Looks great! Glad the community is liking your pack. I think its simplicity is the cause of this being the only 16x16 pack I've actually been able to enjoy. I threw a couple more transparent holes into the leaves, darkened the wood a little, and made the torches blacker to stand out more to suit my personal tastes. I love it.
Keep up the good work. And of course the obligatory shot:
Thanks very much for making such an ace texture pack. It really suits the playful mood I have when playing the game. I've only used the in game textures till now, but I'm updating to use your UI and mob skins.
Can't wait to see your interpretation of the ghast!

Thanks! Love the images, btw. I'm thinking of making the torches closer in color to the raw wood/bark. I've been playing with the default textures lately and the light torches feel weird to me now.

The ghast should be really fun to skin. He looks so cute already.
Yeah, ha, ha - initially I thought I'd never find a texture pack I will permanently switch to but this one did it for me. ^^
Also - I thought the torches had such bright bases because they were supposed to be candles? ;-)

Yeah the mobs in this pack bear mentioning. Buck-toothed zombies are hilarious.
I've been working on something that I call "big ore" off and on. It's similar to Sandwich's offering, but a little closer to how I handled the lighting on the armors that I made.
In the meantime, I've updated the tree color, revised the obsidian (same color, but darker), made the torches match the other wood, re-did the mossy cobble, and a heap of small changes. They are not reflected in the zip, but I will update everything after the Halloween update.

just make sure to save as file, then rename file to terrain.png, and from there move it into the jar as usual.

Of course you can. Use the GIMP or PS to edit the texture to whatever you like and done!
Also I'd like to thank Frenden again for such great work!

I haven't had a chance to sit down and futz with the diamond.
