Yeah I know... I don't use this TP by default anymore just because it makes me hate all others, and I'm trying to keep an open mind, but it's hard when the epicness of this TP makes all other textures look like painted sandpaper...

I've had a chance to play around with the prerelease. I haven't had a chance to skin anything. Probably not till next weekend. Lots of freelance work on my end of things. Gotta pay the bills.
Just wanted to chime in and say that this is far and away my favorite texture pack and, in enveloping everything I wanted this game to look and feel like, in being so aesthetically fulfilling, it makes Minecraft an even better experience for me. Keep on trucking, brother.
Really looking forward to the pack update. I can't wait to see what you come up with for 1.8 when you find the time! I totally can't play without your pack anymore.
That's pretty awesome how you're getting some work from Cartoon Network. I'm glad you are busy doing stuff like that. Patiently waiting for the Frenden 1.8 skins..
I haven't made any new skins since Mr. T. I'm not allowed to tell what I'm working on for Nickelodeon unfortunately. I plan on updating this weekend, btw!

I haven't had time to think of anything yet. I'm going to work on releasing two versions of this pack. One as it is now with the new items and a second even cartoonier version like my pack used to be a loooong time ago (for the diehards that want simple stuff).
Next priority. The MC clone I got hired to work on was too slow in communicating with me, so I'm back to using it for Minecraft proper. I want to do the following:
1) Get the current form of the pack up to date.
2) Make a cartoonier version of the pack akin to the really old version that you love.
3) Finish the detailed pack.
4) Make it so that there are 48 hours in a single day.

Oh, that's fantastic! I usually edit your terrain.png myself to suit the more simplistic style so, hearing that you plan to make another version is music to my ears.

So, there I was one rainy afternoon (read: about an hour ago), getting ready to play Minecraft when I noticed the icon in my dock. "I wish I could make that look like Frenden's grass block," I thought to myself. Then it hit me: I have Photoshop. So, I started working on an alternate version of the original Minecraft desktop icon but in the style of your texture pack using only an in-game screenshot, the terrain.png and the original logo! I wasn't sure if there was some way to find this in the texture pack folder and, if there is, at least I spent some time doing something. Since this is pretty much the only texture pack I use, I thought it would be cool to make some... uh, fan art? I don't know but I have a cool new Minecraft icon! I'm not exactly sure how accurate it is but I think it looks pretty awesome.
(By the way, if this is something that you aren't cool with, I can remove it. I just thought some people would want to see!)

Yeah, I have a Mac too so I thought 512x would be the perfect size (and Hobiconer agreed with me!). If it's alright with Frenden, I could upload the entire .zip to my dA account (which has .icns, .ico, .png and .tif) and post the link here for everyone who wants to use it.
EDIT: Also can we please stop with the "posting derivative works first, ask permission later" stuff going on in this thread? If you want to share something, the proper way to do it is ask Frenden *first*; He is very active.
