The problem with cakes and beds is that they now use the bottom of the region as opposed to the top.

Looks like the cake sides may be one pixel too high. Either that or cakes float and I never noticed.

Hey Frenden, do you happen to remember me from when 1.6 came out? I was asking for an alternative terrain.png with the pirate-themed textures rather than modern-home styles and you suggested that I do the cut&paste myself, though you were nice enough to also make the alternate yourself. Because of that, this time I did do the cut&paste myself. And it turns out I was right about exactly how much I can fail at editing pictures, because now all the transparencies are gone and my torches are this massive white blobs sticking out of my walls, among other things. I could probably try to look up a tutorial on how to fix it, but given that I can't even copy/paste right I would prefer not to. On the other hand, as before, I will accept that as an answer, and I would also accept help from anybody else on the thread.

The program you're using doesn't support transparencies. Are you using MSpaint by any chance? That might be the problem. Look up "paint.net", a free, somewhat easy-to-use program that does support transparency. (If you're using a mac, look up "Gimp")

This site is gonna get alot of attention if Frenden, doku, glimmar and the other popular packs get onboard.
Incase you didnt jump on the link, its a site that you can upload your Texture packs to and apply it to a Customizer (in the same vein as the painterly pack one) and add a whole bunch of extra alt textures and such. I've already added my pack to it. But it would be Most excellent if the textures from Frenden, Xaiwaker, Mangocraft and the others got on there

well i first tried that with extranoiz but i havent gotten a reply back, since then i have just been asking on the texture pack pages. I got doku to respond that way. and anyways, frenden seems like he keeps up on his texture pack forum pages.
Also this is a way for other texture packers who i would not think to contact get to see about it and check it out for themselves. And im not trying to take attention away from any pack i post on, i'm just addressing the frenden community that this may be an option eventually.
There seems to be a problem, the water doesn't change to the new cool teal and stays the default colour.
For quite literally the 1000th time, you must use an HD patcher to have custom water and lava. This is true with every texture pack ever made for minecraft.
