The .exe doesn't open for me, and most .jars give me an exception in main class error. (I cant run server files, char skin editors, etc etc etc etc etc)
Only time I was able to run a .jar fine was when hey0 got a persistor.jar to work for me. I don't know exactly what he did. I can post the .jar error I normally get if it would help. I imagine this is related to the .exe not working for me.
So the patch appears to of done its thing but once I try to run minecraft it crashes after the starting Mojang thing. I am trying to get this to work for the 256x256 textures.
OP, if you can make this mod work for hd items as well (maybe a second tab with item options), then i will love you forever.

How is the texture pack selection supposed to work? When I've tried it (on OS X), the dialog won't let me select a directory. Am I supposed to be selecting a .zip or something?

If you run the patcher jar file and get an error and post it, I can try to help with that. The .exe just runs the .jar file.

Your video card driver is crashing! There are about a million things that could cause this and I probably can't help you. You can see from the error that the crash is happening outside Java, which is the only thing my patcher affects. If you search for atioglxx.dll crash you'll find a ton of different causes and solutions for various games. You can try solutions from google but I can't help you if they don't work. The only thing I can really suggest is updating your drivers or trying it on another computer. edit: and also try disabling all of the animation options in the patcher.
If anyone else has this issue please post.
256x256 works fine for me, but all my graphics cards are NVidia.

What is not working about HD items?

Yes, it only works with .zip, .jar, or .rar files.
Thnx for the quick reply xau. I was able find the problem and it to work for the 256x256 textures by turning on "Adaptive Ant-Aliasing" and "OpenGL Triple buffering." The only crappy thing now is that my computer seems to lag to much if the animations are on in order to play. :'( Oh well 128 I have to issues with so I guess I'll go with it.
It works great for 128*128.
However, when i put in a 4096*4096file, i get to the mojang specifications screen and it freezes. 10 seconds later i get a black screen and it crashes. Any idea why?

If something goes wrong in Minecraft, please use the "Run Minecraft" button in the patcher and keep the Log window that pops up open. After the error happens, hit "Copy to Clipboard" on the log window and paste the information in this thread or PM me.

Guys, I swear I've tried everything I could think of. I downloaded the latest patcher. I'm using a modified Doku texture pack. I can get the patcher to work and everything but...
When I press "patch," the patching process stops at 18%! In the log, the last things said are:
Fix * 16 -> 32 - [email protected]
Fix * 16 -> 32 - [email protected]
Fix * 16 -> 32 - [email protected]
Fix * 16 -> 32 - [email protected]
And that's it! Nothing more, like it just goes on permanent pause! I've even left it for an hour, it just never gets any further. What should I do? What can I do? Please help.
LATEST UPDATE:
1.1.5 - Fixed edges on equipped tools. Custom water and lava animations. These use the textures from your terrain.png and scroll them in the direction the water is moving.
1.1.4b - Java 1.5 compatibility
1.1.4 - Added support for tilesets up to 256x256. Added a combo box to change the tile size. Fixed compass location on tilesets higher than 32x32 (Still tiny for now! With 256x256 tilesets you will have to pull it out to use it.)
1.1.3 - Added buttons to open your Minecraft folder and to run Minecraft with debugging output. Fixed issues when patching inplace without a backup. Fixed detection of minecraft folder on OS X. Added a log window and fixed the progress bar. New exe package should fix errors on launch and 64 bit jvm detection.
1.1.2 - Fixed bug with backup.
1.1 - There is now a GUI which will let you choose to keep static textures, and can optionally install a texture pack for you. 64x64 textures should work (compass will be screwy). 16x16 textures also work, allowing you to remove animations from those packs. It should automatically find your minecraft.jar on any OS, and you can manually browse for it if not.
Ok, I have successfully installed your mod (10-09) and it is amazing.
However, there is a bug that causes it to crash.
To recreate it, simply fall down a stream of water / fall in water.
It produces the following crash report for me.

Yes I do have other mods installed, but never had this problem.
Hope it helps.

Make sure that minecraft.jar is not open in any other process (minecraft itself, winrar, 7zip, another instance of the patcher, etc).

http://www.minecraftforum.net/viewtopic.php?f=25&t=27562
it unlocks so much more potential for this game. works great, no problems here.
[Edit] - So I can get it working for any other size except the 256x256. So I'm guessing there is something complicating that high of resolution?

If you run the patcher jar file and get an error and post it, I can try to help with that. The .exe just runs the .jar file.
