I need some help, The 128x texture pack I use the creator came out with a 256x version and when I patched it I can use minecraft from the test minecraft button in the patcher but when I try to log on from the launcher it gets to the mojang specifications screen and then exits on it's own no error message or anything.

Thats the error I get when I try and test minecraft. I am trying to install Gerudoku's new 1.3 texture pack on my mac. Since my computer auto unzips the file, I manually zipped it and then tried to patch it. The past was successful, but the test minecraft, and regular minecraft seem to still hate me.
ok i dont think this has been said yet or even asked, due to my searches, i dont think it has, but i MAY be wrong....
ok so i got this fore the sole reason to have custom water. i use a simplistic texture pack that is amazing its moonterains own, too lazy to link. anyways so i wanted just a simple color for my water, you know no grain just blue water blue the color thats it. i wanted but its all glitchy. it keeps like....blinking i guess is the best way to describe it. it has these lines of glitch i can see on the water. and my fire is just, you know that little red square in the terrain.png file that says its fire. also my lave isn't animated, it just stays the same color. now can i get a fix, or can someone AT LEAST tell me how to un install?
I suggest that you add ability to write in the position of the texture pack instead of just being able to mark it, since i can't find my appdata folder when i hit browse. I want you to PLEASE! add the ability to write the position in the texture pack field. If you don't do this then..... ssssssssss....BOOOOOOOOOOOOM!
Hey I got the water animations and stuff, but how can I keep the original skins of updated blocks? I have Doku's RPG Pack, but it doesn't show (from what I've seen so far) glowstone, the new wool, and the new trees, it is just a blank block.
The only problem was that I do not have an HD patcher. So I got one from the description of I read and followed all the instructions from that video's description as well except I did not delete the files he wanted me to delete. After I followed the instructions, it worked! I managed to get the texture pack.
Now here is the problem. I can not play Minecraft on Minecraft.net. The game loads, but when I click "single player" it goes to a white or black screen (most of the time white.) And, as I mentioned earlier, I do not know how to access Minecraft other then through the websight. The only way I can play Minecraft is if I open the patcher and click "run Minecraft." Because of this, I can not use the default texture pack. I can only use the texture pack I just downloaded and another texture pack I have that is not even updated to the most recent version of the beta yet.
If you know what the problem is PLEASE PM me. Note, I am willing to give up the patcher or any texture pack if that is what it takes to solve my situation.
EDIT:Un... Never mind. It turns out all I had to do was sigh out of the Minecraft websight and sigh back in. Anyway, I have a feeling that this might happen again. If it does, and my recently discovered original solution does not work, I will just post this again.

This is the error im getting now that ive updated to the lastest version... how do i fix it? Also it says im running x86 windows but im running 64 bit...
Reading terrain.png...
Reading gui/items.png...
Reading misc/dial.png...
Resizing misc/dial.png from 16x16 to 32x32
This is where I keep getting held up. I'm not even using a custom texture for the dial it is just resizing the default as far as I understand. This is the same texture pack I was able to apply before the 1.2_02 release. Thank you for your help.
p.s. Amazing program otherwise. Has made Minecraft much more enjoyable for me personally.

do you ahve 64 bit windows? i so, download 64 bit java. that should fix the problem. It's because HD texture packs eat up RAM and 32bit java can't handle the amount needed. but if you don't have 64 bit windows, I'm afraid you're out of luck. you'll have to stick with 128x.
(if it is the minecraft enhanced pack, most of that is just 128 upscaled, even thugh he says it's not)
when i try and upload the minecraft.jar file it just says there was an error opening minecraft.jar saying it was already patched and i have never patched it before. pleas help
(works fine by itself with no other mods installed but this one)
I am currently using 128x128, there are no problems. I did find that some of the other modes (ones that increase FPS and saves, did cause problems)

When I play Minecraft I usually go to the actual websight and play it here.
The whole reason I do that is because I cannot find the actual Minecraft game file (or program. I am not use witch word to use)
I recently found this texture pack and wanted it.

Because 256* works now, im sure we will start seeing some hi res packs. Im going to try and put one together myself :smile.gif:

what is this?
do i install mods on this one or the other one?
The 2nd jar is unused, it is infact the "original" jar file before you applied the textures to it using the mcpatcher.
The minecraft.jar you have AFTER using mcpatcher is the jar with your texture pack on it :smile.gif:
Read the first post, mk?
Thanks for this it works perfect now
