If it lags too much for me is there any way that i could revert it back?
In your .minecraft folder delete your bin folder (Won't affect your saves in any way). When you reopen Minecraft it will just begin re-downing the latest version. I think the proper file to delete though is Minecraft.Jar . Not 100% sure though.
The lagging itself is caused by the texture pack you use (in game lag). The Patcher just makes the Texture Pack work.
i patched and in the texture pack part i set JSTextures. i chose 32x32 as the site said jstextures was but when i patched it stopped at 67%. ive tried multiple times now. this is the message in the log:
Reading misc/dial.png...
Resizing misc/dial.png from 16x16 to 32x32
java.lang.NullPointerException
at al.a(Unknown Source)
at MCPatcher.a(Unknown Source)
at s.run(Unknown Source)
at m.run(Unknown Source)
at java.lang.Thread.run(Unknown Source)
nothing more. it just stops at the resizing of misc/dial.png.
Ok! like i said last post The patcher was for some reason deleting my mods but I didnt have any info to show. But now I do and I have more to tell. Since the patcher was deleting my mods instead of putting my mods in the minecraft.jar folder I put them in the minecraft-1.2_1 jar file that the patcher creates when you open it. So when i patch the game it will put all my mods in minecraft-1.2_1 into my minecraft.jar. every mod i put into minecraft-1.2_1 I kept opening to patcher to make sure it still worked, when i got around to putting GUI API 9.5 also known as Lahren's screen settings API. The patcher gave me an error saying either minecraft was corrupted and redownload minecraft.jar.
Other mods I used are Death chest, Modloader, 303 arrows, wild grass BL+BG, longer legs, obviously Better grass/better light.
and last thing here is the error message the patcher gave me.
Edit: Turns out I didnt need to put the mods in the minecraft-1.2_1 file the patcher made, just put the mods in minecraft.jar before hand however The error below still applies, I am 100% sure it's messing up because of Screen settings API now.

(And yes, of course I've read the whole first post and addressed that it's not a common problem)
There seems to be a weird problem. The patcher freezes for me for no reason on new versions of my texture pack. v1.1.1 and v1.2 freeze in mid-way, to "reading" some file. What's changed in v1.1.1 is that a texture (Furnace top and dismantler top) has been changed to stone, it will freeze. Same and a lot more in v1.2. Patching with v1.1 texture pack and adding v1.1.1 terrain.png afterwards works perfectly though.
I'll provide more info as necessary. Using latest patcher with custom portals. Help please? :smile.gif:
EDIT: Actually I'll paste logs right away.
v1.1.1, only changed one texture in terrain.png to stone texture. Loads to 100%
EDIT4: My predict is that the patcher fails to patch if furnace top is set as stone. If it's sand or any other block, it will work. This is why Misa used a half-step.
Theres a small problem the top of the has a look on it now, not a look so it shows up as with a bush in a corner. I am using Brown & Bloom texture pack. I hope this helps a bit :tongue.gif:
Hey, is this compatible with better light and better grass?
Wild Grass hasn't updated yet, so I'm not going to ask about that yet...
I wanted to patch minecraft.jar twice, but I thought-
"I don't think you can patch MC twice."
Patching MC twice is impossible, but if there was a compatibility thing that could let you patch ittwice...
I am obliged to say that I read the full post.
Okay, I did everything right to the best of my ability, but I'm experiencing serious lag. Like, almost unplayable slow-down. I couldn't open doors for some reason, so I had to break it down. I'm using a 64x64 texture, by the way. This sped up ever so slightly when I turned off all moving liquids, but it was still really slow. I don't think it's my computer, as it's only a couple years old, and I had it on the tiniest fog setting and fast graphics.
After days of digging through files and the internet for a solution, today my Minecraft decides to fix itself.
I will not take this lightly, but I do thank whatever forces made this possible, and I will play Minecraft every chance I get. :biggrin.gif:
Although my Minecraft is now working, the mod seems to be having the same issues as before.
Description: After various patch/texture hassle my minecraft launcher was stuck on the loading page, and deleting the bin folder wasn't fixing it. But deleting the entire .minecraft and re-downloading it fixed the problem (make sure to move your saves out first).
I love it! I applied my texture pack. looked around. wanted to go to an original one, applied no texture pack, and went back to my vanilla game. great job.
This thread is way long reading through the whole thing just to see if problem is solved, even going backwards. This patcher has worked from day one until it went to this auto patcher version and now it has problems. The game doesn't crash so there is no report to be had.
If I don't use the patcher then in Hell all the red blocks are shown as water when using custom texture. If I use the patcher then everything is good accept that Lazuli Blocks underground are transparent, like a window I can see all over the place thru walls.
I have went back and forth several times testing textures and each time I use this patcher it makes the Lazuli Blocks transparent. Have no clue where to go from here. Not the worst thing that can happen, but it is hard not feel I'm cheating each time I get a glimpse thru a wall. Picture attached.

Did you update your texture pack to actually have the Lazuili Blocks?

v1.1.1, only changed one texture in terrain.png to stone texture. Loads to 100%
v1.2 - A lot changed, v1.1.1 included. Loads to 79%
And just to compare, v1.1 which patches everything fine:
Also, the texture pack is 64x64, patching with that resolution too. No mods installed.
EDIT2: Oh, and download links.
v1.1 - Patches correctly: http://www.mediafire.com/?na72doa7am7c93v
v1.1.1 - Fails: http://www.mediafire.com/?nj9ispdpme83njt
EDIT3: v1.1.1 without custom lava/water/portal checked:
Still fails.

I really need it for a texture pack.
When I try to open it it tells me that it isn't a valid Win32 application.
It works on 64-bit systems. You're just trying to run a corrupted file/not admin/something.
EDIT: Or you don't have Java or you're trying to run it as .exe.
