I changed my texture pack and Minecraft crashed. I reopened it, I logged in, the "Mojang Specifications" logo comes up, then- A black screen. After a some seconds Minecraft crashes. PLease help! I don't know what to do and I don't wanna delete my Minecraft.jar files.

Hello, I have been playing minecraft for quite some time, so I decided it would be cool to add a neato texture pack to it. The tron style texture pack seemed perfect, but unfortunately, it says I need to use an HD patcher, so I followed some links to here. I downloaded the Mac application, got the minecraft folders up, but it won't let me select the ".zip" folder that I downloaded (from mediafire) you guys probably don't have enough time to help a n00b like me out, but it would be MUCH MUCH appreciated. I really like this texture pack
Two different instructions maybe? I re-deleted, and when patching, DID NOT choose a texture pack, which is in the instructions list under John Smith, and chose in only later, and now it works.
So either my user dumb when deleting, or don't try to install the whole pack until patched and actually in the game. Maybe that option in the HD patcher is a vestige.
I get a gap in the tiling of moving water so there is an appearance of gray lines moving through the water. It is rather aggravating and if you can find the source and fix the bug (or tell me how to fix it if that's easier) it would be much appreciated.
Have some diamond as a bribe
It works fantastic! Thank you very much. However, just one thing:
How do I return it to normal?
You either; 1, delete your bin folder and select the default texture pack, or 2, patch your jar file to 16x and select the default texture (or any 16x16)

EDIT: nm i got it to work by patching then deleting options. :biggrin.gif: This is amazing.
Umm... I have a problem using this... I've checked my entire computer, I have no "Minecraft" folders anywhere. I checked application support, and there is nothing there.

What did I do wrong???
Assuming you are using Windows, do this:
- Go to start > run
- Type %appdata%
- Folder should be labeled ".minecraft"
The actual directory is C:\Users\[yourusername]\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft
I'm currently installing the REZCraft texture pack and I've got it working, problem is it's that or nothing, I cannot select any other texture packs and once I load up a world minecraft crashes.
The patcher replaces the default Minecraft textures and this is the only supported use case at this time.
What does that mean? Is that what is happening to me? And yes I've deleted the options.txt before patching and starting out with the default textures before patching.
Is this supposed to happen? Am I supposed to switch bin folders containing the patched REZCraft texture and the default textures with working additional textures in the textures menu whenever I want to switch?
I am trying to use misa's HD Texture Overhaul v1.6.5
Now minecraft isnt working
